Everything is average

10 mins walk to the border, 5 mins walk to the canidrome if ur interested, nice hotel decor
6.3
There is nothing spectacular or disastrous about this hotel, it has most of the things you need, and nothing more. But unless you want to be close to the border, or you want to be in a typical macanese neighbourhood far away from the city centre, otherwise you should stay in a hotel along the casino strips really
Restaurant Tip: There is a portugese restaurant i like very much, within walking distance of this hotel, its besides kun lam temple, 5 mins walk away. restaurant serves good portugese dishes at much more affordable prices than those more famous restaurants.

Great stay

Everything was better than expected, hotel location is good near to the most Casinos and attractions.

I think value for the money as it was good location and everything was perfect as planned and hotel staff was really helpful but phone rates is bit expensive. They have their shuttle bus too so they can take you to the ferry terminal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Go to history building near to that hotel and I recommend for joggers park which was really huge.

The Border gateway Hotel

Near custom, free wifi, clean
7.3
The hotel is very near to the custom/border to Zhu Hai, around 5-10mins walking. It's very convenient to go everywhere, because the bus terminal is at underground/beside of the custom. Also a lot of Free casino/hotel shuttle bus nearby. Looking for restaurant shouldnt be any problem too. If boring at night, you can go to the arcade center which beside the hotel, but smelly.

Bad location, Grumpy staff

One of the lowest price places on Agoda
5.3
I was very disappointed in this hotel. It was not located where the map on Agoda placed it, but way up by the Chinese entrance gate far from all the tourist sites. Mostly I was not happy about having to take a cold shower and the staff not caring.
Hotel Feature Tip: Bad location, nothing within walking distance.

good place to stay

very nicely decorated, very clean, very courteous and polite staff, helpful, not noisy at all. great value for money.
8.7
really enjoyed staying at this hotel. great value. a very nice hotel. not that much around the hotel but getting taxis around macau was easy enough. if you do stay here you will probably get a taxi back to the hotel (very cheap), if you don't speak Cantonese then before you leave the hotel ask the staff on reception to write the name and address of the hotel on a card for you in Chinese so you can give that to the taxi driver. one taxi i got in didnt understand the address in english even when i pointed at the location on a map. Not a problem but just be prepared and ask at reception before you go out.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: sightseeing trip booked through tourist info at Macau Port for about 118 HKD was very good. took about half a day including a trip up macau tower.

macao trip

difficult to say
5.3
the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were very small, and although generally clean were quite uncomfortable especially the beds which were very hard. The location of the hotel was not good. It was far to far to walk to the main area with all the casino's and taxi's were extremely hard to find. The food on the second floor was very reasonably priced and very good to a high standard.
Nightlife Tip: mgm grand

good service and nice room

the reception staff are very helpful. We stayed at the 7th flood, delux room. The room was nice and big. 7/11 and shops all around.
7.3
the room was very nice, we really like our stay in Macao, it was our first time booking with Agoda, and we were not disapointed

CONVENIENCE HOTEL

Convenience for eating and shopping.
7.3
The hotel is ten minute walking distance to the bordor , there many free shuttle bus to other Casino . The room is trapezium in shape . The window has double layer , therefore very silent although outside is noisy . The hotel is located in the old district , has big supermarket and many low price restaurant nearby . Therefore ideal for shopping and eating

The Victoria Hotel

- not expensive - close to the bus station
5.7
The Victoria Hotel is quite far away from the Macau city, where most of the casinos are located. Therefore, you have to spend time travel from the hotel to the town. However, the good point is that the hotel is very close to the bus stop so you do not have to walk too far.
Cheong S. Couples Malaysia, August 28, 2009
Good & convenience

Near to Border, 8 minutes walking distance. Hotel staff are friendly & room is clean. Eating places are near.
8.3
From Airport take the bus AP1, cost $4.20, to reach the Border. Then you can walk along the main road to reach the hotel. Peaple are friendly, you can get direction easily. Most people speak Cantonese. If you show Chinese in words, they can respond well. Can get free Casino buses to go to town centre and also the Macau - Hong Kong Ferry Terminal. First Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui cost HK$135.00 . There are shops around where you can buy things like instant noodle. Very convenient and quiet. Nice to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Take Casino bus to town centre, you can walk to major attractions within 30 minutes. get a map from hotel staff and get the direction.
