Four ladies who desperately needed a break!

Easy to find, close to restaurants and affordable rate
I requested 2 x adjacent/inter-linked rooms on the ground floor - not done.No elevators & lifts-wheelchair unfriendly. No secure parking & limited parking bays for hotel guests.More reserved parking bays for wheelchairs guests. No security guard on duty.Colourful marketing brochures required. No telephones in rooms. No business desk & Wi-Fi facilities in hotel. The hairdryers did not work.Insufficient lighting & mirrors in rooms.Total revamp in all rooms -offer good quality clean linen, curtains, towels,TV, hairdryers, toilet brushes, air freshner, shampoo & conditioner, hand cream, shower cap, mini fridge & proper tea/coffee making facilities, etc. Replace a shower in the bath with separate shower & bath. Not the best "sales person" on site.We met the newly appointed Marketing Manager of the hotel. She seems very capable and friendly. We are sure that she will bring in many, many good ideas to improve on the facilities and standard currently offered by the hotel. We wish the hotel well with their future endeavours and hope to return once the above have been taken care of. Thank you for your assistance in securing our stay.

Time for a makeover

Location, price and room availability
It was OK with a good price and clean bed. No telephone in room. Water supplied only on first night. No Wi-Fi. TV and Mirror sits lob sided on the wall. Waited half an hour for a cappucino. Breakfast was very very average.....two types of cheese and an omelet with undercooked ingredients. Friendly staff however. The whole place is a bit "tired" and in need of a serious facelift soon!!

Great hotel - great effort!

Hotel really trying hard to make it comfortable for their guests. Very friendly staff.
We had a great stay at the Wilderness hotel. Staff were friendly and helped carry our baggage on arrival. I booked our stay over a few different bookings and eventually got the rooms sorted and remained in one room. The hotel are recovering from a long period being closed and one cant expect that all facilities are 100%, but the thing that matters are that they are all trying very hard and their effort is noticable. One cant be too hard on them, especially because they are rated 3 star. Definately getting value for your money. Enjoyed the stay and looking forward staying there again... And hopefully notice some improvement!

Hotel stay after 9. days of camping

Clean, location, friendly staff.
We had been camping and caravaning for 9 days so this felt like a bit of luxury at the end of our trip. The family room was adequate for a nights stay but would be cramped if we needed to stay for a longer period with two teenagers. Room is clean. Air conditioner was quiet but didn't cool the room very well. No telephone in room so need to go to reception with any queries. Staff were all pleasant. Drinks at the poolside bar take ages to come. I gave up after 45 minutes for one order off a fruit shake. Breakfast looked to have a large variety I didn't eat so can't comment on the quality. Plenty to do if staying more than a night. We played mini golf and there were tennis courts trampoline pool and I think squash courts . Considering the time of year I think it was reasonable value.
