Good place but not value for money
Good property which is not utilized or maintained well. I was charged for lake view but in reality there no view available from room. I was looking forward for that experience.. I stayed in a suite which is not worth the money. Mindless plan of the room and broken door latches. Otherwise, the staff were very courteous and good. Special mention to restaurant staff and chef Panner selvam who spoke to every guest and ensured the food requirements are met. I will go back only for that but will not choose suite to stay

Awesome time at Pondicherry with Windflower!
To be honest there isn't much to do at Pondicherry. It was hot and evenings were the only best time to go around the town. Our focus was to put up at a place which offers enough play area to keep the kids busy and for young parents like us pool/beach to dip our feet in - Windflower scored perfectly here. Had booked a villa - so enjoyed private time at the pool with the family. The beach - at 5 mins walk from the resort...was okay. The hospitality at the restaurant was quite warming. The waiters were quite friendly, especially with the kids. They took extra care and got special food prepared for the kids. I just wished the pool could be cleaned on day 2 - which was quite an oversight on the housekeeping part...rest all was fine.

Should be one of the best one in Pondicherry
Relaxing, big and quiet
The hotel is nice and big with fast and stable wifi. However air con is very big not stable and not working in mid night. Bistro restaurant staff and food is good. Like the boat ride by the river.

Windflower experience
Clean beaches without overcrowding.nice pool.decent buffet spread and very friendly courteos staff.
We booked 3 rooms for a 12pm check in time.even though we reached by 1430,they could give us only 2 rooms.the third room was allotted at 4pm.for a 4 star hotel they do not have tissue boxes either in the room or in the toilet.complimentary wifi passwords are not given to the guests unless u ask for it.what kind of a buffet breakfast ignores nonvegetarians by not offering sausages which is a given in any 4star hotel.

Great for local tourists, others...not so much
Restaurant staff, Hotel geese, Balcony
Having visited their Mysore resort I came with high expectations. Unfortunately I cannot say they have been met. The main problem is in staff training. Restaurant and gardening staff excluded. Reception staff: Requests are generally dealt with, but not in a way you requested it, more in a way they seem fit. Asking for a taxi to pick me up at 17:45 was deemed not suitable. They wanted 18:00. 3 Times I asked them not to do 18:00, but 17:45. Eventually they agreed..Of course the taxi only arrived at 18:05 as that was better for me?? Cleaning staff. The rooms surfaces are clean, but the rest is done with I presume a local understanding of cleanliness. Sheets are full with red stains of the local clay and black unidentified stains. Pillows on the chairs have easy to remove food stains or leftovers on them. Showerhead was probably never cleaned since its installation and has black fungi. Toilet paper is never a full new roll, but crumpled left overs from other locations. Why not use those in the restaurant or staff toilets? Pool cleanliness: pool boy spends at most 3 minutes for cleaning the pool. After picking up a leaf or 2 he is so sick with his job that he angrily throws away his cleaning net. Quite a show in the morning. He adds a bit of new water it seems, because in the morning the pool water was so murky we could not see a single step going down. After his "cleaning" we could see 3. I suspect there are 6 or 7 steps down. The restaurant staff was quite good. Quick service and the cook could advise on everything or custom make something for you. Only issue was the lack of an 'a la carte' menu and a poor décor of the restaurant. The place was packed with locals and company outings people. The disadvantage of company outings is that it is unpleasant for the resort guests. Big loud groups of men tend to be obtrusive and uncomfortable for women. Locals also do not seem to be bothered with their kids walking into the pool while still wearing their diaper

Windflower Resort - A worth Stay Undoubtedly
Ambiance,Food, Service
Windflower Resort is a must experience destination at Pondicherry. Everything is fabulous only except its location, but there is no other option left for this kind of property. Windflower is a resort which gives you the original feel of a resort, you can breath pure air, you can enjoy the complete sea beach and relax your time lavishly and that too with a most affordable rate. Its a true definition of value for money since everything is excellent there. Food,Service, behavior of Staffs, Ambiance,Space in the rooms, cleanliness, maintenance, food charge and hospitality...everywhere they have served us beyond of our expectations. I went there to spend three nights with my family of my wife and two year kid and got so impressed with the place that we extended our stay for another day. We booked the package of three nights in MAP plan (breakfast and dinner included). We really appreciate the way they took care of our child whenever it was asked for. The quality of service, the promptness in approach, the behavior of staffs were excellent.I would recommend every one to book this resort in Pondicherry.

Private Beach
Close to Beach which is not crowded and hence u get personal space
Our stay @ Windflower was very pleasant. Apart from slightly remote location of resort and no proper directions, we had no issues what so ever. Highly recommended for family and big groups.
