Lovely overnight stay!
Friendly staff, lovely bathrooms, view of the gardens.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my best friend. It is 15 minutes walk away from the Shambles and less than 30 minutes walk to the train station. We barely heard any traffic in the night and the staff was welcoming. Cooked breakfast was pretty yummy too! :D

Lovely reception staff on arrival.
Only thing I would say that the dining area and landing areas need a little money spent on it. Looking very tired in places.
Lovely stay

Terrible experience!!!
Nothing
This is not a 4-star accommodation, it would be lucky to qualify as a 1-star! Our room was dirty and noisy, the bathroom had mould growing in it, the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in years, the bed-linen was stained. Worse than that the hallways were piled high with dirty linen, old boxes and rubbish, it was a total fire hazard. I would highly recommend that Agoda stops recommending this hotel (not up to Agoda's normal standard)and that no one who wants a clean place to stay actually books this hotel.

Great location to walk into city
Great breakfast, freindly staff
Lovely guest house five minutes walk into city centre along the river. Breakfast was excellent, served by friendly, helpful staff. Lovely garden at back and free car park which is a bonus in York. The downside we were in a room at the front and the road noise was very loud due to no double glazing. Also didn't care for the dark décor of the room particularly the lampshades, made reading rather difficult!! However this would not put me off staying again. Recommend the Masons Arms pub, five minutes walk along the road. Great old fashioned pub with excellent food and a warm welcome.

Comfortable and nice
Bathroom is huge, room is clean and good environment
It was a pleasant stay at the York priory guest house. The environment was nice and the garden is so beautiful. There is a parking available to park your car and secured. The ambience also nice and very quiet.

Room was clean but very noisy not the hotels fault
Garden was lovely. plenty of parking. breakfast was good
Our room was on a very busy main road, room was clean but small it was ok for us as it was just somewhere to sleep. Easy access to town lovely walk along the river, there is a bus stop out side the hotel. The bar was very noisy with fowl language (not staff) it is a dog friendly hotel, not that you would know there wasnt a trace of dog hairs. Plenty of parking which within a city is good. I doubt I would stop here again but for the price, defiantly value for money. Reception did try twice to charge me even tho I had paid before we arrived .

Love this place, wish I could've stayed longer
Great value, comfortable bed, walking distance to local attractions
Love this place, wish I could've stayed longer. 15 minutes stroll from a lot of interesting things in the walled city. Lovely, friendly staff, good wifi on my iPad in room.

An enjoyable 3 days away in a lovely guest house
The staff - the garden and the breakfast - in good position near river - lovely walk to the centre of York
We enjoyed our stay in the Guest house - would have preferred a room overlooking the garden - but the price we paid for the room we had was good value and would not hesitate to recommend and return here sometime in the near future - the room was clean with plenty of spare milk in fridge downstairs if needed (wonderful idea) - the bedding unfortunately for me was too warm for this time of year - needed summer duvet cover -
