Its ok for 1night

Location, staff, clean
I have never seen such a small room before. But the room was clean and staffs were very kind. The location is good (near China town, theater area) but a little nosiy.

Small but well-equipped

Location, staff service, cleanliness
If you want to be close to all the theatre locations or your favourite musicals, this is the hotel to book. While it might seem a little pricey, especially when the room are extremely tiny, the location really makes up for it.

A friendly and comfortable experience

Location, comfort, staff
I arrived quite early in the morning at the Z Hotel Soho after a long, overnight flight from Shanghai to London. The staff welcomed me warmly, but was unable to immediately check me in as no rooms were available. However, they stored my bags while I went out for a walk and breakfast. I was happy to receive a call from the reception staff one hour later, indicating they could get me in. This was an unexpected but very appreciated surprise! Like other reviewers, the room I chose was very small. And, I chose one without windows (I like the almost complete darkness for sleeping!). However, given that my intention was to spend my two days in London touring, visiting museum, and catching a show or two, size was not important to me. The bed and linens were so comfortable and I slept soundly...the perfect antidote to jet lag and touring fatigue. One of the really special aspects of staying at the Z Hotel Soho was the free wine, cheese, crackers, fruits and nuts, offered to hotel guests between 5pm and 8pm. Being somewhat social, I found the cafe staff to be among the most friendly I can recall in recent years. The warmth and hospitality of the staff at reception and in the cafe will be the primary reason -- even over location and comfort -- that will bring me back to the Z Hotel Soho on future visits to London.

Overrated, over expensive and bad in the details

location, location, location
For a wannabe-boutique-hotel with this pricetag it has some way too obvious and annoying flaws. The rooms are tiny shoeboxes with the bathroom behind a see-through glass. Ventilation didn't work. The matress lies on a wooden box and not on springs, thus it's rather uncomfortable and unacceptable. The whole light scheme is based on cold white/blue light and makes the room feel very uncomfortable on top. There is no socket in the "bathroom" for the hairdryer - how could someone not think of that? Instead you have to plug it in at the coffee machine and probably tip over your freshly poured up coffee in the morning when the cable runs over it. And there's not even any kleenex in the room so you have to use toilet paper for anything. Obvious flaws, as I said, that they would notice if they tried so hard to be boutique.

Compact convenience

Small compact room great for one person
Great stay as only needed a well located room to sleep in. Very small room but that was okay as I was out. Relatively good value for money for central London. Very welcoming staff

Room too small and no window

Location , staff , location
The room was way too small and when making the booking they should make it clear there on no window - inside room does not imply no window. Should explicitly state. Felt like living in a black hole
