The location , the staff and the food
I had read previous reviews so arrived with already high expectations. Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge exceeded those! It was simply wonderful ... the location is stunning and you feel so well cared for. The food is excellent and there are lots of walks and excursions you can do from the lodge with expert guides ... or you can just relax and admire the view. I would recommend it to all and agree with a previous reviewer who said no matter how long you stay you will wish it had been longer. Our 4 days passed all too quickly and I hope to return.

A luxury resort in the heart of nature

Location, View and food
This is a place where you can overindulge in the spectacular mountain view, the bush, the villages, lakes and valleys. If you are into the fast night life, probably not the place for you but if you love nature and the tranquillity it has to offer, then you are on the right page. This resort is very well run, from the main lodge, to the cabins to the gardens and pool area. Not recommended for small kids I would say. Nepal cuisine is very mediocre in my opinion but here they managed to dish up delicious Nepali cuisine. You are limited to what you can eat as you basically have to enjoy your meals at the lodge, but the staff will give you options and they know your likes and dislikes. I think there is an option for all inclusive but as we did not know the place, we had only breakfast included, which is not a problem. Perhaps just print a small menu and indicate the prices of the meals,it will give you an idea what to expect when it comes to your final bill. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is after we settled the bill we ordered soft drinks from the bar, waiting for our airport transfer and I paid with a NR1000 bill and the waiter that served us just disappeared, no invoice, no change. I thought that was a bit opportunistic as there is a box where one can leave donations for the staff and which we did. But other than this single incident we had a wonderful stay.

Escape from the city

spectacular View, purified air, organic food
The hotel is 13 years old. The owner is a British from Devon. Lots of foreigners visit the hotel. It looks more like a sanctuary or a healing place for the elderly. But not suitable for energetic/restless young people. No A/C in the cottage. There is a fan upon the ceiling. The beds are simple and feel hard. No wifi in the room except that you have to ask the front desk for the 3G router. And it doesn't work all the time. But it's okay if you are not like me who will not survive without Internet. Except all these, the service was excellent. There are a lot to see around the hotel. Hotel will arrange all the trekking, rafting, paragliding and other activities for the guests upon request.
