Relaxing Paradise

Location, Room, Ambience
It was a relaxing vacation for the two of us. We enjoyed the scenery and pleasant environment. Almosy everything is perfect and relaxing as we expect it to be. However, the staffs should improve their service towards their guest especially to local guest.

Experience Cebu

Food and Staff Service
Everything that we expect is great except for the dirty beach however my canyoning experience erased that disappointment.

diving n adventure seeker.

Awesome free breakfast
The resort is good. Not really seaview facing. Room is comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The tour guide was excellent to advise us and took us to kawasan falls. There isnt much to do or places to explore by feet unless we take the tricycle. The tour offered by resort were great but expensive. It's perfect for people with more bigger budget. The beach is beautiful but has lots of stones so it's not really suitable for beach bums like us. We ended up just lazing in the room, outside the verandah.

Moalboal is an awful tourist trap

Awful. The receptionost was extorting money from us even before we got off the motorcycle taxi. No welcomes or hellos. It is usual for travellers to be in grouos in the Philippines and I have never experienced problems. Here we had to pay for extra persons even though no service was offerred. There are so many nice places in the Phils I would advise against travel to Moalboal - a tourist trap full of scams.

Doing Moalboal

View, location , phillipine staff
The location was pulled down by the restaurant noise. The ambiance was great for the German owner and customers. It was like a club for them at night. Next door holds a disco on Saturday night. Your room will throb!!! til after 3am. Steps to dive shops and a great reef for snorkel .

Great food, great room, great staff

Delish menu, luxury and quaint traditional island rooms, steps from unbelievable diving
I love this place and the people here. I've stayed in three spots in Moalboal now, the others much more expensive, but this is where I'll return. It's much more convenient, bring just steps from "town". (The one tiny walkway past stalls and places to eat and drink.) One caution: Saturday night. The single nightlife activity for this small beach town is their Saturday disco. It starts at 11pm, is an alcohol and pounding bass frenzy, and is just two doors down. Better to join the party than try to sleep!

Next to a nightclub, no silence on weekend night

Clean, next to dive centers, good price/quality
It's placed next to the main dive resort, which is quite positive. The room is clean and quite acceptable, the garden is nace and the rooms are next to the sea. The only problem is a nightclub next to the hotel, with loud music during the Saturday night. Some of the gests took and talked really loud in the night for hours, with no action from the hotel staff.

Will stay here again

Location, rooms were really nice expecially for the price which was excellent value.
Had a nice relaxing time at the Resort. Nearby to snorkelling, many restaurants and bars and Moalboal is a great place to spend by the water.

very relaxing and homey

ambiance, convenience, pleasure
We had a great time at the resort. i booked for a room good for 2 but brought along with me 3 kids 13 yrs old and below which they accomodated and charged me for only Php 300 each. it was a peak season but the resort gave the price relatively low. the resort is also very near to bars and restaurants.

Not bad but overpriced.

Location, mountain bikes, restaurant
It was alright. I stayed the first night in the villa, which is above the kitchen area. This room was really comfortable with a modern AC and TV, but you couldn't see the sea. Instead, you could look out over the road outside and the other guest houses. I also couldn't get the Internet - the room was too far away from the router. The second night I opted for one of the cottages which was a bit dirty compared to the villa but you could see the sea from the verandah and you could get Internet. Here the AC and fan were a bit noisy but at least they kept the mosquitos at bay. The gardens outside were nice, but a breeding ground for mossies, so I don't understand why the cottages don't have mossie nets over the beds. The staff were helpful, and they rented out reasonably good mountain bikes so you can explore the surrounding area quite easily. Restaurant was ok but nothing special. The beach in this area is non existent, unless you call seaweed-strewn rocks a beach. Basically this hotel and others nearby are for diving types who go off in the morning for a dive. It's not a place to wander on the beach as there isn't one. I felt the hotel was overpriced for what it was, but I guess the price is what it is because people come here to go diving and are prepared to pay more than you normally would for a seaside cottage.
