Suit for budget traveller

The receptionist are all kind. The room for 6 was not really spacious but clean and each bed got its own plug. It just the location is not suit for solo woman traveller.
It was good!

One night stay

modern room setup, close to fuente circle
1)We check-in late and they have double booked the large hive room which we have already paid. with that, we have further delay on checking in as the room was not yet ready. 2)I wasn't expecting breakfast to be included but they provided one even if we requested it to be packed since we have an early trip to Moalboal. Food was so-so. 3)Room setup was modern and nicely done with lockers. 4) location was close to fuente circle around few minutes taxi ride. Note that there are no public transpo near the area. So you have to walk to the main street or request to the reception to call a taxi. 5) Except for the double booking issue, staffs are very accomodating

The Travel Bee Experience from a guy w/ standards

simple, clean and great customer service
I just needed a place to sleep for the night and didn't want to foot the bill for a nice hotel since I knew I would only need the place for less than 12hrs. I was lucky to find this place for a great deal. I spend alot of time in the PI but I am from the US so I have seen the most rancid hotels/pension houses to the nicest spots and this ranks right in the middle. The only issue is finding the location. If you plan to get there by foot (which I did from Ayala), please be prepared for a hike cuz there is no easy way to get there. You will pass by homeless people and some unfortunate living conditions but once you are there then you are golden. If you don't feel comfortable walking the streets for sure 100% take a taxi but make sure you know exactly where it is since its nowhere near a major business. Once I get there everything was perfectly fine. Guard was super friendly and desk guy handled business. I got in my room which was the Medium Hive. I thought it was like a hostile but I had my own private bathroom with hot water. The room has a decent AC. Only issue with my room is that there was a security light right outside my window so I could never tell if it was 2am or 7am. The super awesome part is that EVERY bed has a power plug and a place you can put all your stuff. In short if you want a super value and don't mind being away from the action and walking past homeless people then this is the place. But if you are scared to walk in deep local areas then I suggest finding a place nearer to the main streets. Travel Bee served its purpose great for me. Also if I ever came to Cebu with a big group 100% I will stay here. One last thing, I don't eat pork and that is all they serve for breakfast which is included in your cost so either you buy your own meal or you just eat eggs and rice. I will survive!

New type of hostel in unpleasant area

Convenient, clean, dont expect to shower
Apart from cleanness and friendly staff, nothing seems to work - shower, WC, lockers, windows, AC. Dogs and beggars around in antisanitary conditions, rats in garbage along the road doesn't give a nice impression of the so-called "central location". One good thing - it is not far from famous fish restaurant - highly adviced!

Clean rooms but CR has a very low water pressure

Cleanliness, polite staff, quiet area
It was average. The only thing that i dont like is the location and the very low water pressure.

Comfortable and clean

Clean comfortable and quiet
Good place just a bit off of the main road, walking it after dark could be intimidating, other than that nice place

Staff are nice, rooms are nice, location not so good

we had a very nice stay there and the staff are very nice, the rooms are noce as well, but maybe for people who want more access with everything the location is little bit far to big shops/restaurants.

Very remote location (Travelbee Guesthouse)

Very affordable. Very basic amenities. Just right if you plan to just spend a few nights and go around the city to tour during the day anyway.
1) Staff were friendly, but not that knowledgeable when you ask them about getting around the city. 2) During our stay, there was another big group which we often came across in the common area/lobby. They were quite rowdy and they used the common PC to play loud music, which, to my surprise, was acceptable to the staff. I expected the staff to be more vigilant in keeping the place quiet and peaceful. 3) Location was far from the main road/s. To conveniently get around, you have to get a cab, specially when you go out at night. The neighborhood in which the guesthouse is situated is not that safe. The streetlights are dim. And there are shady guys who hangout along the street ("tambay")
