Rise and shine among the trees.

Comfortable stay amongst the trees, nearby walking forest trail, DIY fireplace (but can help can be given upon request), accessible to the Pemberton town, friendly and helpful owner.
we reached the cottage after 5pm, when it was close to dusk due to the long traveling distance from esperance. however, the owner was warm and welcomed us though it was already very late. she spent time explaining to us the places to visit during our stay and recommended us a few places for meals, and things that we could do. it felt good after a long journey and arriving at a welcoming place. she showed us to our cottage and offered to teach us the way to light up our fireplace so that we could do it on the second night. we have never done that before and for sure we are quite excited about the experience. however, the owner assured us that we could ask for her help for the second night if we need. when we entered the cottage, it was like a 'wow' feeling as it looked pretty cosy and comfortable. however, the owner was very honest with us to keep our food properly disposed as ants are easily attracted to the cottage. this is inevitable due to the location. although we see some ants during our stay, they are generally harmless and they did not really bother us. the kitchen was fully equipped, with an oven, grill and microwave. there's heater for the sink. all equipments were well-cleaned. the living room and dining area were comfortable, with a quite nicely-sized tv and a dvd player. you could borrow some dvds from the owner and she's more than willing to recommend some titles. the bathroom is clean with white tiles, shower ammenities were sufficient. the heater functions well. the bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with 4 pillows (additional one can be retrieved from the shelve). there's also additional blanket provided for the cold nights. the owner also takes care of two alpacas, some chickens and a huge dog. they are all friendly animals and the owner would welcome you to feed the alpacas. overall, this resort was comfortable with a welcoming feel. i would definitely recommend this resort.
Travel tip: The Millhouse Cafe located at the Pemberton town serves very wonderful food. We tried their pork belly and it is simmered the nicest way we've ever had. By the way, the owner of the resort recommended us this restaurant and it is definitely worth a try.

Lovely cottage with all amenities

Close to Pemberton but out of main area
we stayed in a lovely cottage with all the amenities we could ask for. we self catered in a kitchen which was well equipped with all the utensils that were needed. the hosts were very friendly and full of information for the surrounding district. there was a varied range of dvd's and games that could be borrowed from the office at no extra charge. being in pemberton we appreciated the open fire w2here firewood was plentiful and also the umbrella in the cupboard for rainy days. the bbq was amazing - cooked really well. we were two adults with another adult couple - daughter and partner from vancouver - the cottage provided privacy in the way it was set out. the propety has an amzing forest walk within it - beautiful australian bush - was marvellous. felt like we were in the middle of the forest far away from the pressures of everyday life. have to say that buddy was a highlight - what a beautiful dog - my daughter and her partner thoroughly enjoyed buddy keeping them company on their walk through the forest. will definately return for another visit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Do the tramway trip. Beautiful forest.
