Just off the main drag, watch out for Mosquitos

Quiet, decent location & price was fantastic. Fast free wifi.
stayed 2 nights. bed was decent, bathroom dirty & semi outdoors. room wasn't completely sealed, so bugs got in. we bought a "hit!" mosquito repellant plug in thing at the supermarket a block away and it seemed to work well. short-ish walk to beach and people here do not harass you about shopping every step. all in all a nice stay, though the place could use some tlc.
Shopping Tip: Super cheap clothes at a store 1 block to the right of hotel. Food & drink is cheaper at restaurants & markets away from the beach than anywhere else in Bali.

Very nice hotel

Rooms, Pool, Privacy and don't Forget
This is a great hotel if you have your own transportation or can use a rented motorcycle. The rooms are clean. We had two rooms upstairs overlooking the pool. We really liked everything about this hotel. If we stay in Sanur again we will try to book here. the manager could not be nicer. She asked if there is anything she can do to make our stay more enjoyable. We felt more like house guests than hotel occupants. It was a real nice experience.

Restful out-of-the-way retreat

Lovely rooms in a leafy environment
We had a lovely upstairs (recomended) room looking out over the pool through frangipanni trees. High ceilings and nice Balinese touches to the decor. Lovely wide balcony, and it was great to have breakfast brought to you on the balcony - even if the breakfast itself was a bit below par. The bathroom was functional, but a bit run down compared to the beautiful room. Mini-bar and order-in food prices were all entirely reasonable, even cheap compared to so many other hotels that use this to rip you off. The French owners and their staff were invariably charming and helpful. TV reception was variable, but who needs it? The location is a bit further out of Sanur than I had thought. This is good in a way, cos it really is quiet. But if you want to walk out your door and stroll along the beachfront, you've got a 10-minute walk down to a grungy part of the coast then another half hour along the boardwalk into the pleasant part of town. So you end up taking taxis all the time - which are cheap, but can take a while to arrive, and the traffic on the main road can be really slow.

quiet and peaceful

hotel staff, enviroment
Like this place very much! It's not in the center of Ubud, but the hotel has free shuttle. (Seems not very expensive to take taxi too). The place is very quiet and good for rest. Hotel staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is outside the room (a little weird, but not a big deal).

Good service
My wife and I lived at Tropical Bali Hotel for 3 night. We like it very much. They provide very good service and people here are very friendly. There is a small swimming pool, very clean. If you like quite, this is a good place for you. Location of this hotel is a little far from sanur beach. Walk in about one hour.

Lovely boutique hideaway

lovely friendly hosts, tropical peaceful surroundings,
the location is out of the way - need a taxi to access anything but a small but lovely restaurant. but it is a true tropical paradise. the bedroom is large, airy & pleasant & because there are only 10 rooms in total, it is quiet & peaceful. most rooms front onto the pool which is very attractive & it is very private. flo & matteus are friendly & very helpful hosts & make you feel completely at home. they are quick to provide anything you need & the staff are all lovely. its a great place to relax and veg out.

Laid back, very welcoming, simple but nice.

The owners were brilliant at sorting everything you needed
Stayed for two nights before heading to Lembongan. We had a very late check in of about one in the morning but the hotel organised a driver and were awake and ready to check us in when we arrived. The customer service here is brilliant. The owners are able to suggest or help with any travel plans or anything really. The rooms were pretty basic but clean and the mini bar was cheap. To be able to have breakfast on your own veranda was a nice touch. In a very nice quiet area of Sanur with only a short taxi rude to the action (shops and restaurants).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Get over to Nusa Lembongan from Sanur. Its easy and very beautiful. Much quieter and relaxing.

Lovely hotel with warm touch from the owners

Nice pool
The hotel is located a bit further away from Sanur beach and town. You need a taxi to go to the restos or shops in town. The hotel has a very special homely feeling. The owners are extremely helpful and nice. The A/C works very well. The room is large and bathroom is clean. I like the bedding and the patio in front of the room to sit for tea or coffee. The pool is very nice for lounging. There is a good resto not too far from the hotel, just ask the owner and he points it out to you. If not, you can take a taxi into town for lots of good restos.
