About Tryp Las Matas Hotel

Description

Just 24 kilometers from the north of Madrid, the hotel sits in the residential area of Las Matas in the region of Las Rozas. The simple, yet comfortable, hotel is located right in the business area, only 50 meters away from the train station, making it very convenient for travelers to other provinces and the airport. With many local attractions nearby, travelers wouldn’t want to miss the famous one, the Valle de los Caídos, or Valley of the Fallen, a monumental memorial in the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial at Cuelgamuros Valley in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Mediocre hotel, unhelpful staff
Cheap
Not the best hotel, staff is slow and provides very poor taxis. location is bad
Its a standard hotel, the room is okay. The rest is not the best, the location is not so great except that it is close to casino madrid, but you still have to take a taxi. If you hire a taxi through the hotel you will be paying 25 euro one way to the casino. I assume the hotel provides "special" taxis. I requested a taxi in a hurry, and had to wait over an hour and a half on one occsaion, then pay for the meter the taxi had running before I got in (I had to take it, I had no option). If you arrive late at night, you have to pass security screening by the guard before you are let into the hotel. This makes it more secure, but if you lose your room key you are going to be stuck outside for some time.
