Pleasant Stay

Courteous staff, clean room, good location

The staff are very accommodating and spoke decent english. They arranged my Hanoi airport transfer for $15 and booked my bus ride to Sapa for another $15. Well worth the money and a good experience with them.

An absolute nightmare

bedbugs, no customer service, filthy rooms
2
Whatever you do, take your business elsewhere. This hotel is completely littered with bedbugs. When approached about this issue, the staff claimed "oh it's just cockroaches". After being moved to a new room 2 floors above, the room was even dirtier, with cockroaches. Sheets are dirty and stained with marks. Accused the customer of lying after showing the staff the filth, fresh blood stains, and pictures of infestation. Absolutely unbelievable, do not trust these people, as they own at least 3 diff hotels, some sort of Vietnamese mafia. They genuinely do not care about your experience, well being, or stay. They just want to make a quick buck out of you, and take as much money as they can. Tours and airport transfer are overpriced,do not book. Laundry service is dirty and inefficient. 24hr front desk is a lie and doesn't exist, and the phone down to reception is out of order. Do yourself a favour and save the trauma, do not get eaten alive by staying at this horrible place. Do not trust these people, book elsewhere.

Friendly staff, great location, comfortable room

I've stayed here 3 times and still find new places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. As usual, the staff were welcoming and did all they could to make the customers' stays happy.

Excellent stay here

Staff, Location and breakfast

Great location at the Tu Linh Palace hotel, just enough away from the main drags of the old quarter. The room (on the 3rd floor) was good, big enough, serviced daily. Comfy bed and pillows, great bathroom with hot water. The room was pretty quiet for Hanoi away from the street. The staff are excellent here, nothing is too much trouble and they're all very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are also top quality here, buffet style spread + options from a menu, vietnamese or western eggs, etc, well cooked to order. Tours and transport are arranged here at reasonable costs + airport transfers. I'd stay here again

Best value for money

Staff, location, value for money

"Super Tim" and his staff should be an example of what hotel personnel should strive to be concerning helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism. Excellent breakfast. Location superb. Room excellent value for the price we paid, although can be somewhat noisy but never was a real bother. I will return and highly recommend this hotel.

Small but Big

Location, Staff, Cosy Room

Overall a great experience considering it's my first time in Hanoi. Staff was very willing to go the extra mile to give information on almost everything you would want to expereince within old quarters. Certainly great if you want to experience old quarter. Considerably at the edge of old quarter but everything is walking distance

semi-central and basic

very nice helpful staff. close to most things. has all the necessities.

You get what you pay for here. Nothing fancy but good all round. Only down side is these beds. Most Asian hotels have these hard as rock beds. I wake up every day with a bad back. Not just this hotel though, some people like rock hard beds so personal preference here.

Staff keen to attend to your needs.

Walking distance to Old Quarter. Friendly staff. Quiet Room at the back.

Breakfast was a nice buffet selection of fruit, bacon and eggs, as well as coffee and tea. The fruit juice was too sweet, but the staff listened to ideas and were prepared to make a new juice. The staff here were very attentive and took the time to explain things to their guests. My twin room was small, but comfortable enough, although the mattresses were on the hard side.
