birthday celebration
i wasn't supposed to actually book in this resort but I forgot to cancel my reservation. i called both the resort and agoda if this can be cancelled since I did not receive any notification that the free cancellation was almost due however, there's nothing they can do. what else to do but to stay in the resort. the place was nice, the location had very fine sand. the room was clean and spacious for a family with 2 kids. complimentary drinks are given upon check-in. they have a shuttle service you can avail going to and from the resort. buffet breakfast had many options and were good. down side during our stay was our room location. there was a construction nearby and a terrible smell of paint. i asked the front-desk if we could move to another room, unfortunately location of the room type we availed was in the same wing. I can't afford to upgrade our room so we had to bear with the situation.

Ideal for families with young children
We stayed in a family room with a 2 and 4 year old. It had teo rooms with three queen sized beds. The room size was good but I would ask for a room away from the road as it can be quite noisy from the traffic. The pool was great with little ones as it is not deep, but for adults and older kids you may prefer something bigger/deeper. The location was wonderful for us - not too busy but lots of restaurants within walking distance along the beach. The hotel restaurant had a good selection and the breakfast buffet was adequate. Would have liked some yoghurt though 😉 The beach was beautiful for building sandcastles and splashing around when the tide was out. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.

Waste of money. Bad customer service.
Our Cebu Pacific flight from Cebu to Caticlan was cancelled and we were re-routed to Kalibo after 5 hours. There is a 2 hour land trip from Kalibo to Caticlan and we had to travel by boat to Boracay at around 9pm. Long story short, we wasted an entire day already and none of us were in the mood anymore. We were a group of 14 pax. Earlier that day, prior to knowing about our flight cancellation, I called the hotel to arrange a pick up from the Boracay jetty port. The lady who answered the phone said they can do that for a fee of P305 per head. We just thought it was ridiculous. We had booked for three nights at their hotel, 3 delux rooms, and one family room. The lady on the other line was firm and apathetic about my request. So we decided to just book our own transpo to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 10pm, all hungry and exhausted. When we arrived, we had to carry our own bags to the reception area. Wow. My sister approached the reception and asked if this is where we need to check in. The front office staff said she needed to see IDs and the agoda booking voucher. She asked us to fill out forms for each of the rooms (something most hotels already have filled out), gave us a list of rules and regulations. No mention of any welcome drinks from the loooong and tiring journey. In short, we did not fell very welcome. Some of us had to carry our own bags to our own rooms probably since we arrived late and not a lot of staff are on duty. The lobby was dark. The place seemed gloomy and unkept. We all agreed to drop our bags in our respective rooms and take their complimentary shuttle to D'mall. At the reception, the sign said it is up to 11pm. It was 15 minutes to 11 when we requested for a ride at the reception. This time, it was a male receptionist I was speaking with. He told me the shuttle is out picking up some guests and by the time it would have returned, it would have been 11pm already. So I asked if we can make a special request for on

large family suite
good points: large family grand suite bad points: excessive transfer prices, disappointing breakfast spread, inefficient front office staff/s, pool connected to the family grand suite was full of sand, "welcome" fruit platter arrived a day later, very weak wireless internet connection if i will go back to this hotel or recommend it to friends and family? NO

The failed garden
I like my windows open but I sure like privacy too. The room promised that I have my pocket garden. When I opened the bathroom area, there was none. Only remnants of what the garden was. The fixed glass window by the front door is a picture window from the hallway where everybody passes by. Needless to say, the blackout curtains are almost fixed. There was minimal natural light that can enter the room during the day. Considering the price of this hotel, I felt like I was in a cramped hotel in the middle of the city when I am inside my room. They need soundproofing too. You can literally eavesdrop on conversation outside. One good thing about this is the staff- they are the most courteous in the island.

Summer trip
Always a great location. Really friendly staff. Only concern would be if you stay in the deluxe rooms on the 1st floor, you can hear all passerby outside, even if they are just walking by and not talking. It wasn't easy going to sleep at night.
