UAQ hotel
Beach, pool and not over crowded
Stay was great overall. The beach and pool fantastic. Not a lot of people. Rooms were not updated - tub cracking, springs hitting the cushion on couch, etc. so for the price it was a deal based on beach, etc.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles and good hospitality. We booked for a 2 bedroom villa but those where full so we where "downgraded" to 2 X 1 bedroom villa near the beach (Strike One). It was fine with us because at least it has a nice view of the sea. Everything was just ok. rooms have a distinct smell that i dont like, no kitchen for a villa. Because we are 8 people and only 6 where allowed, they have to charge us additional 100 aed per person. Each additional person will have an extra bed. But evening came but no extra bed. We tried to call but the receptionist told us that there are no more available beds. (Strike Two). Because of this, two of us have to fit ourselves in the small sofa just to lay our heads for the night. And they even charged us for the 2 non existing beds. By this time, my patience is become thin for this "4-star" hotel. In the morning, we had our breakfast at their restaurant. The place is great, food was awesome, but the service crew was just plain rude. Because we booked a 2 bedroom villa, we are given 4 free breakfast. and have to pay for the 4 extra person. It was understandable but the crew in the restaurant was so rude to point this out to me while im in the middle of my meal. Told the crew that I will just finish my meal and will be talking to the reception to clear it out. But he again returned to interrupt again my meal with a piece of paper pointing out that we only have 4 person free breakfast. (Strike Three). By this time, im really pissed. I understand that they were just doing their jobs, but their lack of training or etiquette made this experience unpleasant. Shout out to the HR hiring this people. The crew for the rooms and the reception did a great job. But the crew in the restaurant was just bad. Overall, disappointed. Will not recommend to others. If changes where made, maybe I will be thinking about returning to this place.

Worst Experience, Nothing was good
Beach, Garden
Very Unfriendly staff, Very less food varieties available in the restaurant, Room cleanliness was very poor (there was a bad odor in the room), No lifeguards for the swimming pool and the beach, Very less amenities and facilities available in the hotel, Not worth the money paid at all. Anyway garden is being maintained in fairly good manner

EID holiday at UAQBH.
Beach, Filipino staff and liquor shop
We went there for the EID break with our friends, there were 10 of us and we rented a 2 bedroom villa and stayed for 2 days. The 2 bedroom villa I was told was good for 4 persons only and I had to pay 100aed for each additional person which was fine. I paid the required amount however during our 2 day stay, various staff kept asking us how many we were in the villa. We asked them why they were always asking us since we already told reception how many we were and we gave all our IDs at reception so that they can photocopy and have a record, they told us that they were being told to ask us by the manager. This was very offensive because we informed the reception how many we were and we paid the amount they asked us but the manager still doubted us. This was very disappointing for all of us. We wanted to enjoy our EID weekend but the constant asking of how many we were in the villa really ruined it for us. We did enjoy the beach and the complimentary fruits however I don't think any of us would want to come back as we didn't feel welcome with the constant questioning; and specially for me since I paid for everything that they had asked me to pay, I felt insulted that they still doubted my word. I do however have to mention the exceptional service that one Filipino staff accorded us, his name was Abraham. If ever we decide to come back it would only because of his hospitality towards us.
