Service, the bed, the pool
It was alright. Location wise, quite a distance to the nearest BTS/MTR. Nothing much to shout about.

Big rooms away from main tourist areas

Spacious, good quality rooms, value for money, easy to drive to
Living in Thailand, this was a great choice for us spending 1 night in Bangkok. It was easy to drive to, free parking and had very comfortable rooms. As we had been to Bangkok many times before, staying away from the more popular tourist areas was fine. Upon checkin we were told the one-bedroom deluxe we booked was full, so free upgrade to two-bedroom deluxe. As far as I'm aware, same facilities/layout except and extra bedroom with two single beds and an additional small bathroom (toilet, basin and shower). The main bedroom was spacious and a good bathroom. The living area, balconies and kitchen were all good (although only used the fridge). With the large rooms and kitchen I may return for a longer stay with family (parents and children). Didn't interact with staff much, except on checkin and checkout which were fine. Did not use room service, restaurant or breakfast (if breakfast is not included I suggest getting some supplies at 7/11). Unlike other areas (Sukhumvit, Pratunam), not much directly outside the hotel. But a 10 minute walk along Soi Convent takes you to Sala Daeng BTS. In this area there are some good quality outside food stalls, reasonsable priced restaurants, couple of pubs and shopping. Also Patpong entertainment area. If you want more choice, catch the BTS.

Avoid at all cost, not worth the money

Door and resturant staff
My families experience with this hotel echo's the experience of many other reviewers. It should have been a warning to stay away. The hotel is very dated, with the furniture in our room damaged, even the front door to the room had paint pealing and was very very hard to open. Inside chipped and damaged furniture and the room constantly dirty. Elsewhere around the hotel signs of damage around door frames giving the impression of a unkempt premises. One off thing is when they clean the room in the morning they take diry towels and don't replace them until latter in the afternoon. Too bad if you go for a swim in the middle of the day and want a shower when you return. The reception staff are extremely rude, hardly acknowledging ones presence when you walk into the hotel, a smile and a hello wouldn't go astray. Even when raising issues they just couldn't care less, all they could say were we are sorry. No remedies and the like. Only after contacting Agoda did they at least try, their suggestion we could leave and they would 'refund' our remaining 3 nights. Breakfast was very ordinary indeed for both Western and Asian tastes. Very limited choice, pastries on all 10 days we stayed were dry and the quality of the other food very variable. Not one day was bacon available, the staple of most hotel breakfasts. The eggs were ok, but tomato sauce on an omelet? Not sure where the hotel gets its star rating from, and frankly nor do the hotel staff. On Agoda they say 4.5 stars on their own website they say 5 stars then elsewhere everything in between. Spending 1/4 of my year in hotels, mostly in Asia I would say more like a 3 star but charging 4.5 star prices. When we asked reception what their rating really was they said they didn't have one as they are an service apartment complex, and the rating they advertise comes from reviews. Overall my recommendation, try somewhere else to avoid disappointment.
