Peacful good stay
It was really nice to stay in Victoria Phan Thiet. It is located outskirt of Muine beach, but if you are looking for a peaceful time this is the place to be. The facilities are good, rooms are big and clean, staff are kind. However, bit of improvement in food will be nicer.

Good place at the edge of the Phan Thiet strip
We had a nice time at this hotel during a 3-day weekend. The "deluxe ocean view room" was a bit of a disappointment, though. You only have an ocean view by virtue of being on a hill and having the trees cleared away. You're a good 400 meters away from the beach. Some of the other rooms are much closer. They presumably smaller as well but....would you came to a fancy beach resort for a beach room, right? I'd stay in a different room next time I come here. The breakfast buffet was better than the usual you get. Over the course of 3 days we saw about 40% of the selection rotate. It was nice to have some variety. The beach is very nice. They've done a great job with their private beach by putting up these "eco-barrier" things that cut down on the waves and keep the beach nice and well-groomed. It is also very clean for a beach in Vietnam. There are two pools. We only used the "infinity pool", since it was right by our room. Neither of the pools had very many people there. And we were there during a national holiday. I expected it to be more crowded, honestly. I guess that's a good thing, because it means you're not fighting for a chair at the pool. The only real downside is the location isn't quite perfect. All the resorts in Phan Thiet/Mui Ne are laid out along the stretch of a single road. This resort is at the very end of that road, which means there really isn't anything within walking distance. There's a golf course between the resort and where most of the restaurants and shops are, making it about 3-5 kilometers to get to them. That's hardly the end of the world, since getting a taxi in Phan Thiet is cheap and easy. Flagfall starts at $0.22 so generally looking at $2-3 to get anywhere. We rented a motorcycle, which the hotel arranged for us. It was "normal" price and not hotel-vacation-area-inflated-price which was nice. We paid 150,000VND a day, which is about what you'd pay in the backpacker area of Saigon.

Great time
A bit slow during our stay. Love the room. Nice and open. Very relaxing. Staff was great. Not in the center of town. However, that was what made it great. We'll come back again.

Beautiful resort
Room, resort ambience, view from the room
It's a beautiful resort and anyone would love staying here. Very nice big rooms, private outside sitting area with nice view of sea, very peaceful and relaxing ambience. Nice restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with a sea view. Only 2 drawbacks : it's in the very beginning of Muine resort area, so it's missing the happenings of the area. No nearby restaurants or shops, you will have to take a taxi or motorbike to travel to main happening area. Another drawback is their beach is rocky, not a smooth white sand beach that you will find in some other resorts in Muine. Overall if you like to just relax in a resort in a peaceful environment, this is a nice place to be. But, if you are looking for a nice beach and want to explore the happenings of the city, then you might look for resorts in middle of the area where all the entertainments are.

Wonderful getaway for family
The staff, location and value for the price made this a great trip for our family.
We loved our stay at the Victoria Phan Thiet! We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights over the 2016 New Year holiday. The New Years party the hotel threw featured an amazing array of food from fresh lobster, crab and a variety of seafood, to beautiful Vietnamese and western dishes and elegantly crafted desserts. During our stay, our twins turned four and the staff made a huge deal about their birthday with a cake and left over holiday balloons. The staff genuinely loves children and could not have been more welcoming and kind to our family. We were the only couple with very young children and everyone was extremely patient with our family. It is a small hotel and is not grand but this adds to the understated charm. The newly renovated beach is quiet and secluded and two pools are relaxing. Positives: The included breakfast had a great range of Vietnamese and western food; great wifi access; the spa is wonderful and reasonably priced; transportation from Ho Chi Mihn was easy; perfectly sized and private, even though the resort had zero vacancies, it felt very private and secluded; The food and cocktails were great; the outdoor shower and bungalow size were lovely for our family. Room for improvement: My one major critique would be the bungalow was noisy once we had neighbors. The family next door jet very late hours and we could hear them in the middle of the night. Also, the kids enjoyed the kids club but it felt a little run down and needs a little updating. (Although the staff loves kids and ours had a great time. They also have a pony for children to ride too!) All in all, it was a perfect vacation. I would recommend it highly to friends and family.
