very close to Sunday night market

room, breakfast,service
Even though the market was 100 meters away, the place was quiet. However, on Sundays there is a crush of people in the area, but the market is quite good.

not good value for money

good location ;hotel room was big and clean; good food at the restaurant
I don't think this hotel is good value for money. The swimming pool was too small. The staff was friendly. Howeverm the service was not very good. We could only leave our luggage under the stairscase before we left which was not safe when we wanted to leave our laptop and camera there. The hotel doesn't provide the service to look after your luggage when you leave. There wasn't a great selection of food for breakfast. The hotel room was not very sound proof so it was a bit noisy. Given the price in Chiangmai, I don't think this hotel does the price justice

There is no lift to your room, but you can request someone to send your luggage to your room .the deluxe room is big with balcony facing the swimming pool . Comfortable stay in a very nice boutique style doubt on the stay in the room. However , the front desk receptionist is really make you feel pretty unwelcome. Even there is different staff perform duties at the front desk , but all of them is really make you feel pretty unwelcome.bad feeling . they don't even know how to address you ,not even give you a smile even though i am smiling with them .my friend tried to express her feeling in mandarin and i guess the front desk receptionist understood our language and ended up she smile to us when we Step out of the hotel during last day .But thumbs up to the cleaner as they are totally different as compare to the front desk receptionist. They know how to smile and address you. The hotel paste a paper written " china people please lower down your voice during your stay and etc ". i personally feel Those words is really seems like discriminate people. The hotel shall not purposely highlight CHINA people. i strongly suggest hotel to pull down this paper which they paste it on the wall in the hotel and rewrite in a more professional way. I am sincerely hope hotel can make improvement on this . For location wise , no doubt on it . The hotel is walking distance to many shops, restaurant ,night market , bar, etc.

Great location and lovely pool

Position,pool and nice staff
We spent 2 weeks here and really enjoyed our time and have booked to go back at a later date. It is in a great spot . A few minor issues .....if you have been travelling for a while and are looking forward to watching a bit of t.v. There are no channels English ....and The Internet was a bit boring in that you had to sign in and put the password in every time you tried it ....... Apart from that room was comfortable and clean and staff were friendly.

Vieng Mantra Stay - Oct15

Friendly Staffs, Clean comfortale Room, Nice resort feel environment
Very good and nice cosy place with friendly staffs. Quiet and away from the main road. No lifts, so may not be convenient for those who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Noisy and small room

Good location, food and service
This hotel was a bit overrated! First, the swimming pool is way too small and shallow. Second, the room is rather small. Third, the doors of rooms are very old that whenever people push the door, the sound is super loud that made everyone awake during the sleep. However, the location is really good with no deny, especially when u r going to stay during weekends that the Sunday market is right next to it.

Excellent Hotel

Large room, clean, nice breakfast
We had a lovely stay at the Vieng Mantra. Our room was large and clean overlooking the pool area. The hotel was in walking distance to most sites within the walls of the old city. The food provided at breakfast was a nice mix of continental/thai food and the restaurant food was lovely as well. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.
