Stinky rooms

helpful Filipina attendant.
2.7
The room was stinky because of cat poop. They don't even want to give the key to the room to us. Macau is a safe place but this is the only hotel I know that doesn't provide keys to customers. They insist that they will be the ones to unlock the door for you. The bathroom are not as clean as shown on the pictures. Pillowcases, bedsheet & blankets were not changed prior to our stay. Also, the receptionist doesn't speak English which made it hard for us to communicate. Thanks for the Filipina helper of this hotel. The receptionist also was insisting that we check out earlier though we still had 3 hours before check out & we were just going outside the hotel to eat. She was rude. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Average Macau Hostel

near grocery stores and restaurants, clean and big rooms, clean bath with hot and cold shower

The room was big but not so clean, I must say because I saw some dirt in the corners of the room and on the floor. The room smelled old, but to make sure the linens were newly washed, I smelled them too. Fortunately, it smelled of laundry soap so I was relieved. The bathroom is a small strip of space, just enough for you to take a shower and to use the toilet. They were generous to lend bath towels for each of us and they have basic bathroom toiletries. I understood why there were misleading feedbacks for this hotel in booking sites. There were two receptionists – one for the morning and one for night. Since we checked in at 11pm, it was the guy who welcomed us. He didn’t say much because he doesn’t know how to speak in English, but he can understand a little. He is a bit snob, though I was thinking maybe it’s because of the language barrier. The other receptionist in morning shift is a woman around her twenties I think. She is more approachable and kind. WSo I concluded, it’s definitely better to transact within the day than talk to the guy at night especially if you do not know how to speak their language.

NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANY OTHER TRAVELLER

Nothing best!
2.7
The Manager has no manner. She treats good to the guest who speaks cantonese only. And we do not allow to keep the room key. The room price is not worth with the conditions at all. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed.

Could be better

Accesibility to places of interest via foot, very reasonable and great eateries just down the stairs

We liked the homely feel in the biggest room but the toilet was a grave problem. It does not allow any toilet paper to be flushed down.

Perfect for budget-conscious travelers

Good location, convenient for backpackers, good value for money

We had a hard time finding this hotel at night. The staff is quite friendly and tried their best to communicate in English. I will recommend this to budget-conscious travelers.

- A lot of mosquitos - Far from the city - small bathroom - the reception cannot speak english. - wifi in the room is really really really bad. Cannot browse internet. Wifi at the lobby is ok. Anyway, not comfortable to use it outside the room.
