Okay and could have been better.

Location, clean, quiet
Room was ready allowing for an early check-in. Would have been nice if the wifi worked. Confirmed that the hotel had major router problems during our 4 day stay. Bedside lamps and phone electrical connections were loose - we were just short of moving the bed away from the wall to get the electrical plugs in.

Noisy but comfy.

Location, friendly staff, cozy.
Overall our stay was great. We picked up V.F. as our honeymoon hotel, but for some reason, hotel didn't consider that in anyway, even they already promised to. It didn't spoil our evening though. If you are not sensitive to street noise, i would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location, needed to pay a little bit mor

Location, coffee, turn down service
Overall, pretty good. Parking was very expensive and they charged me an administration tax ($50 for a 4 night stay) which they couldn't explain. Parking was expensive, but it's a tight city and would imagine it would come at a premium anyway

Wrong booking, Terrible reception staffs, bad room

I had made reservation Junior Suit. When I got there, they told me no room is available and extra room charges for 3 people. Junior suit is for 3people but since they do not have any kinds of suit, we had to have another room which was charged walk-in rate. I had to pay extra room charges. If I learned that the room was not available. Easily I could use my hhnor membership for Hilton or priority memberships for Intercontinental.

Good location. Along a noisy street

Location. Helpful staff. Location.
Location is very convenient to move around Union square. But it can get noisy at night with the street performers and also the cable car. Rooms are basic and small with some furniture placed in a position such that the drawers cannot be used. Overall you pay a premium for the location.

Good stay

location location location
We stayed here for 3 nights for our SF trip. The location of this hotel is good since it is in the union square area. The room is a bit old & small & smell. The hallway is very narrow. The carpet is smelly. I understand that the building is old so I am not gonna complain that much, but 4-star is a bit too much for me. Our room is noisy somehow because of being at the low floor & close to the street. The staffs are nice. However, I was waiting for 10 mins at the front door waiting for someone to help me call the taxi. Given up & walked to the street & call the cab by myself. In summary, the room is old & smelly, but the location is hard to beat. We were somewhat okay with this hotel.

Villa Florence Great Location Only

Location, Comfortable Beds, Decor
The location of the Villa Florence Hotel is fantastic as it is very central nearby Union Square. It had lovely decor and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and modern. Unfortunately the staff were not very helpful, the free Wifi was very slow or non-existent, the rooms were tiny, the elevator was very small, the hallways are very dimly lit and the restaurant is very expensive. We were not advised at check-in that a 300USD incidental deposit fee would be charged to our credit card. On check out the front desk agent also tried to charge us 25USD per night for the Wifi which was free with our stay. Despite the great location we will not stay there again as a family.
