An Outstanding Experience in a First Class Resort!
Villa Nirvana is a premier property, only a 15 min. walk away from the hub-bub of Ubud. The staff were attentive to our every need, as well as being so friendly and truly happy in their jobs. They create a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wide variety of great meals from Indian to Continental to Balinese cuisine. The resort is located in a very unique area, Penestanan, away from major streets. I fact the taxi can't get you closer than 100 m away. The resort will happily use their electric "buggy" for pick up of you and your luggage for the last stretch. The villas are beautifully Balinese, from their attached, spacious garden bath, to their signature thatched roofs. We enjoyed daily the refreshing pool , only three steps from our front door. Every villa has a nearby pool. We enjoyed the walk to town, past restaurants, shops and other stores but what we found fascinating was the village of Penestanan, where the resort is located. Due to the small paths that crisis cross the neighbourhood the atmosphere is serenely quiet. The paths lead everywhere and are intriguing as they skirt the local rice fields and past neighbouring homes. We have travelled to Bali on several occasions, Villa Nirvana is hands down a very, very special place to call home while in Ubud. We will return to enjoy the resort and its staff on our next trip.

Excellent stay
the Balinese style of the room
I like this Villa a lot although it wasn't that easy to get into the villa as it's located a bit far from the main road and the surroundings were quiet and dark. But we were shocked to see the villa once we stepped in, the staffs were friendly and the rooms were in very good condition. kids were thrilled when they spotted the private pool and they had fun during our stay there. Secondly, they gave 15mins compliment massage to all guests. Overall the stay was pleasantly satisfied, I will definitely recommend this villa to my friends.

Lovely! Friendly!
location food tranquil
What a nice little gem. Perfect for families but also couples who like quiet and seclusion. Far enough from the busy Ubud areas but not too far. Helpful and friendly staff. Would certainly come again.

Review of Villa Nirvana
1) Quiet location 2)good selection of food in the in-house restaurant 3) Nice interior decor in the room
It was a pleasant stay and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is also a good range of dishes available at the in-house restaurant albeit the cuisine being mainly Indian. Accessibility to the hotel is a also a bit limited. The hotel is quite secluded and a buggy is required (provided by hotel) especially for the older and less mobile folks to get to the hotel from the main point of entrance. The room interior looked old and musty but it was cozy nevertheless.

Hidden paradise on day time, not on night!
Friendly staff! 5 stars.
Hidden villas inside ubud, there's only 8 rooms In Villa Nirvana. We stay in the Room name Shanti. Their design is more into back to nature, and out from the noise. But one thing bad of the room, there is too too much of insect, lizard, spider or mosquito. Even u fill up the bathtub, there is at least 20 insects fall down. They will help to put on insect repellant every night or when they clean the room. Oh ya, they r the only hotel who provide cellphone. We can contact them for buggy service or anything emergency we need help from outside. Great consideration. We had our dinner in their restaurant, tasty Indian food, very friendly receptionist and with free 15mins massage. They have spa centre, for me is a bit less privacy, but the environment is perfect. Me and my husband has try up the scrub and hot stone. Great! Walking distance within 15mins you can reach the restaurant name "Bridge" highly recommended. I give 5 stars to the friendly and helpful staff and the environment. But not the insects.

This is such a small Villa so it could Be Better
the grounds were well kept. The Staff were very friendly but the management was poor. Lastly the location was exceptional because it was close enough to walk to Ubud, but far enough to be private.
Awful. the rooms need some serious upkeep! If I was the manager, I would make sure that the few rooms on offer were at least kept sparkling clean. The price for what we got was not too bad, but that does not mean we will return. If you go there and are happy to pay the price, stay at Shanti Om or The suites. Anything else is no good unless you are a family and you are occupying both the rooms that share the pool. They also did not pick us up from the airport, even after booking with them in advance. In Indonesia, although the people are nice, everyone is trying to make a quick buck. So they should not be leaving you at the mercy of Taxi operator on your first day of arrival.

Great stay made possible by the friendliest staff
Awesome pool, good privacy, awesome staff, good location
Truly enjoyed my trip! I am speaking on behalf of another couple and myself (a couple). We went as a foursome and really loved the villa so much. The staff were the friendliest and gives you the most honest advice to be around Ubud.

Not pleasant. Too many rats and mosquitoes. Single beds are uncomfortable. Too soft and whole body aching. Villas leaking.
