Clean and good value

Brett the resort manager, location, good value for money
Brett the resort manager in very accommodating allow us to leave our car with him for two days while we went of to stay on Green island. Can't ask for better customer service than that!

Comfortable and good position

Position, self catering price
We stayed 4 nights and found the rooms clean and comfortable. It is only 1 block to shopping and restaurants and 2 blocks to the promenade. All in all exactly what we had hoped for in booking a self catering apartment without paying for or needing to overlook water.

Very good.

Proximity to the Esplanade, the airport and the apartment was comfortable and well equipped
Very good. We were able to cook our own meals which is great so we didn't have to eat out all the time if we didn't want to. It had a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which was very convenient. Would probably stay there again.

Great location, not so great service

Location, Price,
The hotel is centrally located within the city. There are lots of restaurants and great places to shop. Close to cheap massages where you can get 25 minutes for $15 within the night market. The manager in charge of the property lacks communication skills and is very rude. I felt as though he was aggressive and constantly watched people as they were within the complex. The carpets within the room are extremely dirty and dusty and the air conditioning system does not work properly. Only stay if you are not going to be in the room much, oh and make sure you buy your own toilet paper!

Hotel of a reasonable standard

Quiet A/C, Reasonable Location
Having stayed in several 4 star apartments on my trip to Australia, I would have to say this hotel does not deserve the rating. The kitchen consisted of a 2 ring stove that I would expect to find in a caravan, with no microwave or oven. Perhaps it was an astetic choice but the furnishings looked like a combination of Ikea and a hippy bric a brac sale. The frontage is on the street, and the rear garden is tiny with a pool only useful for dipping in. The internet which the online ad claimed was free is charged at an extortionate 5 dollars a day, with the only wifi router being located in the office, resulting in a slow rate and poor signal strength if you can connect at all. I received a 50% discount when booking this apartment and I still feel I paid to much. It fails to provide any of the things I would expect from the term Luxury or a four star rating.

I stayed for 3 nights. Very nice and clean. Location is quite central. Apartment is big and good value.

Low-rise hotel in central Cairns

Separate bedroom, sitting room and bathroom meant that a couple could also live independently. Previous travellers had left behind some food staples on a table in the carpark
previous travellers had left behind some food staples on a table in the car park, so self catering was less expensive. it was an easy walk to the dock for reef tours and to myer and the railway station. a balcony overlooked the pool but morning sun reflecting off a neighbouring wall was very bright in the morning.
