Kitesurfing try out

No best three things just overall very pleasant experience.
The stay was good and relaxing .Went there to test out the kitesurfing.. Was amazed how strong the wind was. All 3 days had 20+ knts. A hidden gem for flat water and wind. Will definitely return.

excellent location, staff, service and food.

the location is stunning! Beautiful river and view of Mt Bokor. The staff are great and go out of their way to help you. Food is fantastic, try the fresh spring rolls and the nachos
A thoroughly enjoyable stay and I didnt want to leave. Staff, location, food, pool and amenities all excellent. Would not hesitate recommending this Villa to anyone

Great location

Location, river
The location is great, and we loved being by the river or in the pool. The staff were friendly and generally effective. Food was OK, nothing special. Our big issue was the room. We had a downstairs room, with windows and shutters that did not open, so very dark. It was also noisy as it is next to the table tennis, pool tables and the bar. The cleaning of the room was superficial, ie the shelves in the cupboards where full off dust and old spiderwebs etc. we would return, but would ensure we booked a room at the back of the garden

Villa Vedici - Simply Wonderful

The Location, The staff, The sunset boat cruise
I have stayed at Villa Vedici twice now. Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The local Khmer girls cook very nice food in the kitchen. The rooms are comfortable and have all the features to make you feel at home. There are lots of activities to do at Vedici or in the town which the family are more then happy to organise for you. There is a sunset boat cruise that travels up the river which is something you have to do. I love Villa Vedici so much I will definitely be returning.

Villa Vedici
Very pleasant, restful and refreshing. Started four years ago. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and easy. Dutch hospitality from the owner, his lovely Cambodian companion and his two sons. People are friendly and helpful, but leave you alone when you are not in the mood for social talk. The high-ceilinged room was basic but good (room cleaned and bed made / fresh towels every day), with wooden floor and solid furniture. The big bed was comfortable. An indoor (working) table and chair would be an extra asset. However, it was good working in the big TV-room (huge flatscreen, lots of dvd's to choose from) with open doors. The bathroom is big and well-provided. The (electric) shower, however, could use a check-up. The wifi is excellent, both in the rooms and the public places. Also the airco functions well. The upholstery in the public places could use an update here and there. I rented a scooter to have a look at Kampot town (10 minutes away) and a kayak to experience the stillness and beauty of the wide river. They make good cocktails - and excellent French fries, the best I tasted in Cambodia! I had a few interesting talks from the heart with Hans and enjoyed the silent caring. Thank you for building this lovely place. I spent three very pleasant days with you.

Beautiful location

We loved the location. Beautiful view from upper level from which our room opened. Khmer food was good. Great Coffee.
Overall we were happy with our stay. It's a beautiful location on the river. Decent accommodations for the money. I could be a lot cleaner. The furniture cushions are kind of dirty. It's down an unpaved road for about five to ten minutes so you'll eat a lot of dust. We had very squeaky doors, bathroom and entry that created a problem with waking up our 9 month old. They fixed the front door but we still had the bathroom door waking him up at night. It's not expensive but it veers a bit more towards backpacker standards in cleanliness.

Perfect place to while away the days

Atmosphere, activities, sunsets
Seriously, if we didn't force ourselves to get out and see the town a bit, we wouldn't have left this hotel. We originally booked 2 nights and after realizing our grievous error, we booked a third night. Great swimming pool, great food and drinks. We kayaked on the river, watched a few sunsets, played table tennis and pool and cards. This place is amazing. I was so sad to leave.

Best place ever

The staff were on it, the location is ridiculously beautiful and the whole vibe of the place was so chill.
I couldn't recommend it any more, all four of our group were sad to leave this place. The location is just ridiculously plush, so nice. The staff were super helpful with anything you asked for and the food and drink was great. We kept joking about how awful it was because it was so idyllic. I would recommend this place to everyone, have to stay here if you are going to be in Kampot. A few local expats called it the posh place but really 14 pounds a night!!! Where I come from that is cheap, cheap, cheap.

Chilling out in Villa Vedici

Super friendly staff acting interested and servicemind, very easy to just hang out in the bar, speaking with whoever is there. Very good food. Beautiful setting and you can explore the river by kayak.
I spent two nights at Villa Vedici. The nice and large bar area makes a great place to chat with people while enjoying great food and a drink or two. Nice swimming pool. Saw maybe less of Kampot and sorroundings than I intended, because the place itself sort of invites you to enjoy and relax. Can recommend renting one of their kayaks for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Pleasant, great views, wrong marketing?

Fabulous views, helpful lady staff member.
The positives- - this place has beautiful views over the river, which you can enjoy from a lovely terrace. - The lady at reception was very helpful, organising a firefly night boat trip (bit eerie but brilliant) and sorting out bus tickets for us. - inside the room was clean. Negatives We were disappointed by the atmosphere of the place. We picked it, knowing it was out of town, as we wanted to relax in a tranquil setting for a few nights. The price, the location and the website suggest that sort of place. When we were there, it turned out to be a bit of a back packer hang out. The pool had lots of inflatables in it and grubby towels all over the sun beds. Everyone came back about 5 off a sunset cruise, and at that stage the loud music and loud bad language started. At various stages in the night, some of the younger group seemed to be behind the bar (working?). Don't have anything against people having a good time, but to avoid disappointment the hotel might want to be clearer about it's market and what it offers. -The other downers were an ant problem at the entrance to our room - a tin of bug spray was left by the door. -as you are out if town, they have you on price. Food and drink were expensive.
