Everything we could ask for except...

Location, Cleanliness, Staff
I felt the stay was great. For Oakland area, I felt I was safe. I also felt the rooms were clean, and I even really liked the soaps and shampoos they had in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you get in early enough you can visit the pool and maybe have a drink as you look out across the San Francisco Bay. The thing that I warn you about is their is a mandatory overnight valet fee...and valet just means we are going to park it 50ft away for you, just so we can charge the fee. I think it is that their parking is limited and so they can manage parking better they charge the fee. They aren't parking it in the nearby garage or anything like that, just right outside the door. So, if you want to checkout the Garage and don't mind walking a couple of blocks, drop off the luggage and go two blocks back down Washington St and you will see it on your left (North side). I have to use a cane and they still charged me for the valet parking. That is my only complaint really. The staff should've offered free parking for the disabled. This reason alone is why I didn't give them a five in everything.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: if you wake up on a sunday morning be sure to visit the farmer's market. and also the uss hornet is nearby. if you would like to visit a wwii aircraft carrier it is worth taking a look their hours are 10-5 and admission is $15 for adults/$12 for military and seniors and i forgot the kids' cost. the carrier is famous for staging the doolittle raid on japan to retaliate for pearl harbor.
