Great hotel in the middle of Chiang Mai!

Location, Room Size and Breakfast
Yaang Come Village is a beautiful little oasis just next to Night Bazaar. Hotel is just next to Night Bazaar, yet a bit inside making it a very quiet and beautiful location. We thoroughly enjoyed their nice breakfast, pool, which was just perfect for our son and, of course, proximity to Night Bazaar and other attractions! As others have mentioned, they did have a bit of mosquitoes, but again, so do all the other hotels in Chiang Mai and SEA. If we are back in Chiang Mai we will definitely stay at Yaang Come Village again!

Hidden little paradise

The garden pathways are gorgeous. The staff is very sweet. The pool and bathrooms are very nice.
We were surprised to find this place right off of the city of Chaing Mai , as once you turn into it , you feel you are in mountain seclusion . Beautiful grounds, lush walkways full of gorgeous various blooms and greenery . Very nice pool, very nice staff. The room is nice and rustic , the beds are very hard though . The air conditioner works well , but our room needed two of them and there is only one . The area the beds are in stays a bit stuffy and warm . They have a really nice breakfast each morning and are right beside a beautiful upscale restaurant . The spa is also very traditional , expensive by Thailand standards , but really good. The location is great walk to to all sorts of places and the night market . I would recommend this place , I do plan on returning . Oh they also have a beautiful business center, really it's a super nice peaceful , beautiful , place . Biggest complaint is the beds need to be more comfy , I like a firm bed , but this was just hard.

A real treat

The staff are very helpful with arranging a private tour, hailing tuktuks, toting luggage, fixing a door. The breakfast buffet was expansive, including a chef for cooking eggs. I loved the pool

Mosquito Hotel

lanna style location and garden are good
I rarely write reviews but I am writing to save others. If your idea of of a fun evening is killing mosquitos then this is your hotel. The room had literally a hundred mosquitos. although the grounds are nice and the buildings acceptable the rooms are a tacky style of lanna and 3 stars at best! I stay at hotels of various price ranges all over the world. This tops worst value for money for me.

Not up to our expectations

Mosquito plague, breakfast staff rough, noise of building construction at day time
The team of the reception gave us a warm welcome and took us to our room on the ground floor near the pool area. Very soon we noticed that this hotel suffers under a real heavy mosquito plague as we counted 87 mosquitoes which we killed in just about one hour in our room. They gave us a special light trap (electric) to switch on over night, but still we got woken up again and again by the flying beasts. Some mosquito nets over the bed would without any doubt improve the sleeping quality. The deception of this stay were not the mosquitoes though, but the behavior of the breakfast staff. Without any warning they simply clear the buffet at 10:00 sharp, and only 5 minutes later you will not find a trace of a buffet left over. They really rush as if they only have in mind getting their work done. If you are on holidays, this just is not pleasant for you as a guest. Besides this, they really do not understand much English and the entire attitude is pretty rough for this standing of a hotel. We consider they need some formation on how to serve the guests properly. The most unpleasant thing however was that on the morning when we checked out when they forgot to wake us up at the arranged time, so that we were really stressed catching the taxi to get to the airport on time. They mixed up the departure time with wake up time, as the communication with the reception desk went wrong. For the time being there is an important construction of a huge building at the quiet back of the hotel taking place, which not only brings in noise, but also bad smell of paint solvents and lots of fine dust, to the extend that if sitting in the breakfast place or near the pool you think the hotel is covered in the mist.

Not as good as last time

Location, SPA, Pool
Frankly, this hotel is not as good as my previous stay two years ago. The equipments and rooms are little bit down and need a renovation. So many mosquitoes which made my sleep a mission impossible. I could hardly get real hot water for a shower and the water pressure is too low. Can you imagine that I caught a cold just because I want to have a hot bath in the tube? The breakfast the far below the 4star standard. The staffs are friendly as always, but for such a price, I deserve a better living experience.
