A lovely experience in Hong Kong
The room is big with a big window. Nice decoration and facing the main street. Quiet and you won't hear the traffic. Location is around 10 mins walk to MTR and many buses. It's a very interesting older suburb and you can see a lot of real Hong Kong people working hard at the day and night markets. There's a path just behind the hostel walking up 15 mins to the hill and you can see a beautiful view of Hong Kong. Household staff are fast and efficient. Breakfast OK.

Good with some
I was born within 200 metres of the Hostel. Location is central and convenient. However, this is one of the poorest areas in Kowloon, Hong Kong.It receives some subsidy from the government, so in other words money should not be an issue. All of the facilities' equipment are of good quality. The negative points were that it took 3 days to change towels and bed sheets. You have to understand Hong Kong is a tropical country and the humidity is over 90% in April. Your bath towels are wet all the time. The most uncomfortable part is that the shower water temperature fluctuates all the time ( sometimes hot water stops up to 5 mins ). The staff in the front desk admit that this is a problem and told me this is normal. Overall, this is not a bad deal but if you look around Hong Kong hotels there are better deal than Mei Ho Hostel. However, the most unusual aspect of my stay was that the hostel required for us to return and check in our bed sheets which was very awkward and confusing.

Utterly disgusted with this hostel!
Reception staff have no manners! They are brusque, curt, abrupt, rude and rough in the way they talked to the guests when I stayed there from 12-14 April '16.

The rooms are very spacious, rather luxurious in a city like Hong Kong.

Amazing accommodation!
A room for a night is cheap. The breakfast is cheap but looks and tastes fantastic. The themed room plus the showroom could bring you back to 1970~80s of Hong Kong. It is located next to the MTR station. Street food is everywhere around the station. I had a wonderful experience with my girlfriend. This accommodation is highly recommended to not only tourists, but also local citizens.
