Fabulous welcome. Room was clean, but tired.

Position good,
We were welcomed by a young girl (20 years) called Ketut. After showing us our clean, but very 'tired' looking room, especially the bathroom,(no flushing toilet), she asked us if we would like some tea, a very nice touch (and no extra charge!). The homestay is in a good position for exploring Ubud, but is off the main road, so is reasonably quiet. It is a family run place, so has a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast area only has 2 tables, so this means you eat with the other guests, which we actually really liked, because it was very sociable. Ketut's english was quiet good and she organised a taxi and phoned forward to our next hotel to book a room for us. It was good value for money over all.

Creepy environment

Young friendly staff
It is of homestay kind of lodging. Before dark, resident's kids were seen playing badminton noisily along the narrow walkway - passable by walking and biking only. When dusk kicked in at about 6pm, the surroundings became very quiet, dark and creepy.

A place not for urban folks

The rooms' doors could not be closed tight thus insects could sneak in through the gaps. The floors were not swept/ mopped and dead insects and lizard droppings were everywhere, even inside the mosquito netting bed. When my little kid stepped on a live cockroach, that's enough, we immediately moved out of the place without staying for a single night. My money spent for the online booking of 2 rooms for 2 nights has gone into the drain.

Great value, lovely staff, good location, basic.

Best banana pancakes I'd had in Bali, good location.
lovely stay at yuliati house. house boy and girl so attentive and sweet. good location on jln sukma, walking distance to/ from ubud sights. very basic accommodation- images not quite like those on webste, but nevertheless great stay. basic, but delicious breakfast served daily!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Wander off the beaten track to find yourself surrounded by rice paddies- incredible.

Worst night in Bali

I am a backpacker and this was the worst accommodation I found in Bali in 4 weeks. At my arrival, I was told by one of the staff members to move to a second place where my room was located. He drove me to this second place in his car and took me to my room. The place was nothing of the like as shown at the pictures they have posted on the internet. My room was dirty, a cockroach was staying inside the toilet's sink and the bed sheets were not clean. There was no air condioner and the vent was not working either. On top of this, i could not sleep at all after some horrible shouttings woke me up at 1am coming from the yard next door. I could realize it were pigs being killed and chopped. Also a big number of cocks started singing really early in the morning and due to the proximity with neighboors, the noise was tremendous. On the morning I found an old pot of hot water and some tea bags and sugar on my door, I can imagine this was the included breakfast, which obviosly I had to look for somewhere else outside the hotel. The toilet was so under standard that I could not had a shower or even whash my teeth during my stay, even though I was all sweat from the heat of the night. They also offered free wifi on the website, which was the main reason I booked with them and it was no wifi at all at this place.
Hotel Feature Tip: Do not book here
