I have booked a room, payed on full on the website. On my arrival at the hotel I have been asked to pay a deposit of £50. This is ridiculous, the room was smelly, there was no hand towels.

Key collection at another building and we were totally unaware.No communication on this at all. Shabby entrance with no name of suites indicated.

Room was really small and just convenient enough for a short stay. Good public transport options (national rail, underground and overground) in not more than 5 minutes walk.

Clean, Comfortable But Quite Small”

Our stay here was really pleasant... everything was provided and the best was comfortable. The room itself was quite small, but it was directly on the high street, so it didn't really matter.

we only stayed one night at the 198 suites. it was an ideal location as we were attending a gallery opening in the local area. we were a little disappointed that the reservation email did not advise us of the actual address where we should check-in when we couldn't find 198 on the road we called the hotel and got told a different address for check-in. we arrived at 1 and check-in wasn't until 2 so we left our bags in the office area and went over to alice's across the street for some food which was fab! definitely recommend! the camden beer is lovely too! we went back to the office at 2 and were promptly given our keys and directed to the room, it wasn't far from the office. about 2 mins walk. our room was on the 3rd floor (room 8) it was a little heavy on the legs as the stairs were steep but as we are young (ish!! 30 & 37) it wasn't too bad! the facilities themselves were adequate although only 1 tea-bag was provided and loads of coffee!!! i drink tea so was disappointed about this. it was very noisy over the night and could hear doors slamming inside the hotel during the night but as it's cheap wasn't too bothered! as i am a firm believer of you get what you pay for! and i think london is generally noisy! lots of sirens etc! i do think that the decor could be improved though as it's looking a little rough around the edges quite a lot of cracks on the walls etc, but all in all not a bad stay and i would recommend and even stay here again!

Hotel ben servito dai mezzi pubblici”

Permanenza in questo hotel tranquilla e rilassante, con vista su piccolo giardino. Camera pulita, comoda e bagno grande, visti gli standard inglesi. Poco manutenzione della camera tenda poco oscurante e rotta, tinteggiatura delle pareti pavimento del bagno rotto in due punti. (immagino perchè il sottofondo del pavimento è in legno). Basterebbe poco per aver uno standard ottimo.
