Avoid it like the plague”

The front door , it was the quickest way out of here. The complex was safe though. We left after 2 nights of a intended four day stay
The oven was broken and replaced by a small electric stove that was about eye level and could not properly see food cooking., the WIFI was not connected for first 2 nights ,we were international travellers and was stuck without wifi to seek alternative accommodation til we had to use some friends internet. The WiFi worked for approx 30minuyes them asked us to insert payment for extra time. The 4 fans in the rooms were old and rusty , 1 did not work and another was faulty . The host was hard to get a hold of and had limited access to the cleaner on the property. The lounge suite was uncomfortable and hard on the back. Lights in one of the smaller room did not work , may have just been the globes. Overall the worst place I have stayed in 6 weeks of my holidays.

The place is very quite
The beds are old and uncomfortable.Couch is soo uncomfortable to sit on.Walls need repainting.Some rooms dont have globes that are working.There is a funny smell in the apartment that just doesnt go away despite opening the windows.Curtains needs to washed The oven glass is broken so we couldnt use the stove.A two plate stove was provided and its soo slow.

there was no gas for the braai ,had to go buy a braai stand. the kettle did not work the stove had the oven glass shattered and did not work. the gate remote did not have any batteries. This was the worst stay i have ever had and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Facilities are advertised falsely and I would never go back.”

The location was good.
The electricity was cut off on the last day of our stay so we had to leave because they did not have facilities for such an emergency. The glass on the electric stove was broken which created a very dangerous hazard. The dstv was absolutely nonexistent so we had no television for our entire stay there. Within 2 days the WiFi was disconnected. Offering these facilities at your property and not having them when guests arrive is false advertising.

Nice beach, complex was neat and well maintained
The unit was advertised with air-conditioning and WiFi. Their was only Fans no air-conditioning. They also advertised free WiFi but this was very limited and a big problem!..Had no bins in the bathrooms, cleaning materials needed replacing,kitchen needed side plates etc .washing line needs replacing. Also extra tag would be good for beach gate.

The location is good, peaceful and quiet. The unit is spacious and has good view. Loved that there was a washing machine,we could wash our towels and loved the grill in the balcony.
Unit was dirty, most things not working- funny smell in the unit/ moldy, beds uncomfortable, TV has 2 channels working, WiFi worked for 2 hours on the 1st day only, fridge has a problem, no bin in kitchen, beach umbrellas broken, the shower leaks and leaves bathroom flooding. The building was dirty too, the stairs was filthy the whole time. The complex pool was dirty. This place needs serious maintenance and proper cleaning, equip the kitchen with the basics.

The apartment is clean with modern decor, very specious with a beautiful view to the ocean from all the bedrooms. We like the fact that we had access to the swimming pool and access to a private beach. The owner is an awesome gentlemen, accessible and extremely helpful accommodating. If ever I will travel to Durban, Amazimtoti area I will always stay 40 La Mer.

Awesome weekend!!!”

Awesome host, great location! Gabby was very warm and helped us settle in. Peaceful, quiet. Great swimming pool and great beaches. Strict security. My new favourite place. It reads on booking.com that there is no parking, however 2 parking bays were allocated to us. Wifi is available.
Adding airconditioning would be a very good and would then rate it 10.
