Good location, Value for money, Friendly staff, Great facilities!”
5 Footway Inn is opposite the Sofitel Ponte 16 Hotel. There is a Circle K convenience store across the street. There is a money changer located few walks from the Inn. However, there's a 10 minutes walk to Senado Square. There's a lot of good foods at those street that is very near the Inn too. Washing machine, dryers, cleaning detergents are provided free of charge at the rooftop. Free flow of hot/cold water, coffee, tea (few types of tea to choose from) are also available. Sugars and coffee mate are provided but the coffee mate creamers container is always empty throughout my 4D3N stay there. There's a very comfortable pantry there where you can make your own drinks or eat your takeaway foods instead of having at your room. Staffs are friendly and they are very willing to assist you in terms of direction. Apple Computers are provided for sharing but I never utilized them so I can't comment much on it. Electronic scale is available and you can weigh your body weight at the lobby! Wifi is strong in the room. The only downside is that there is no lift at the room so it's not so convenience for elderly and those with lots of luggage. Luckily I was placed at second floor during my stay as I requested for lower floors during Agoda Booking. There is bathtub on the room I stayed. The room was kinda spacious for two of us as compared with the rooms I stayed in Hong Kong. Shower gel, hair shampoo, razor, shower cap, toothbrush, toothpaste and disposable sandals are also given. It was indeed value for money!

From the airport (or outside harbour), we took the free shuttle to Sofitel. This place is literally just across Sofitel. If you are facing the road opposite to Sofitel (sofitel on your back), look on the right side and you will see a small alley, a big sign of 5 footway inn is there. P.S. It is in Chinese, but the number '5' is a big hint. ;) We booked two rooms, a triple and a quad. The triple room was luckily assigned to 2nd floor, the quad room was assigned in 4th floor. Anyway, we did not mind coz we booked the hotel knowing there is no lift. The rooms are spacious, nowehere near the hostels in HK. Overall recommended for light travelers. Very clean too.

Location is good. It’s opposite Ponte 16-Sofitel. You can take a bus no. MT4 from Macau airport to Sofitel and cross the road (notice; 5 footways opposite OK Mart (superstore) and you can take a bus no.101X at Sofitel bus stop to Macau - Hongkong port (the last station of bus). The room is clean. (No.304). Hotel staff are nice. You can leave your baggage at the hotel before check-in and after check-out.

Best budget hotel to explore the macau island”
It was way better than my expectations due to the convenient location to explore all the tourist area / food at Macau island. The complimentary shuttle to ponte 16 is a plus point as 5 footway inn is just across the road from ponte 16. Just take the same shuttle back to the ferry terminal & switch to the Venetian complimentary shuttle to explore the other side of Macau.

the room size is ok for triple room, you have more space to put your league.. and clean also. In front of Sofitel Hotel, so you can use Sofitel Hotel free shuttle for ferry terminal (Macau City Terminal not Macau Taipa). They served 24-hours hot chocolate, milk tea, cappucino, mineral water etc. Near Senado Square & St. Paul Church, just 10 min walks from 5footway inn.

One of the Best I have Stayed At”
Although it was a bit pricey (Macau Grand Prix sched affected the price), the location is all too important, especially for Macau which is a very walkable city. Access to and from the airport was a breeze, with a bus stop very near Sofitel right in front of the hotel. Staff was very helpful, and the amenities were clean. One main downside is if you have a room on a high floor (which I had), there is no elevator, so major bummer. But overall, with location and price, this is one great hotel.

Stayed in April 2016 in 4 Bedded Room . This hotel scores very well on Location, Cleanliness, Amenities & Staff behaviour & is strongly recommended. But following points to be considered while booking - 1: NO ELEVATOR - The elevator was removed last year as part of renovation exercise. All 3 & 4 Bedded rooms are on 4th & 5th floor only. Very difficult to climb the stairs with baggage as well as after tiring sight seeing activity. Only Double bed rooms on lower floors. 2: Hotel offers a Common Dining Lounge on 1st floor where Refrigerator, Toaster, Induction, Microwave & Utensils are provided free of charge to guests Hot & Cold Water dispenser machine also offered. Coffee, Chocolate, Sugar, milk powder too, offered free of charge to guests 24 x 7. 3: Location is right opposite famous SOFITEL HOTEL. Guests can avail free shuttle bus offered by Sofitel Hotel from & to Macau Ferry Terminal. After arriving at Sofitel by bus, just cross over the road & reach this hotel. 4: Very close to Heritage Sites. Walk to Senado Sqaure ( 200 meters away - 5-7 minutes walk ) & follow street signs to reach all important spots that can be covered in aprox 3 hours, walking leisurely all around. 5: McDonalad's & other joints in close vicinity, nearest at Senado Square. 6: 3 & 4 bedded rooms offer only Single bed options, No double bed option. 7: Rooms are spacious & clean. Bathroom amenities wonderful with Bath Tub etc. 8: Front Desk Staff know very limited English, just enough to complete Check in & Check out procedures. ( Chinese, Cantonese, Portuguese main languages spoken by all ). Overall a great place to stay comfortably in expensive Macau Strongly recommended.

Nice, good accommodation, and clean rooms”
We had a nice stay in the hotel. It was small but it was clean and all the things that we need were well-taken cared of. However, we did have a problem locating the hotel because the taxi drivers in Macau didn't know the hotel's address. Good thing, we met two accommodating guys in the bus terminal of Macau International airport and they taught us how to communicate with the taxi drivers. If you're going to ride a taxi from the airport to the hotel, tell the driver to drop you off at Ponte 16 and your landmark will be the Sofitel hotel. Across the street, you will see the 5footway inn hotel.

Great Location, Clean Room, Lovely Staff”
Stayed for five nights and we got a great experience. The staff were all lovely (including the cleaning lady who never forget to greet us good morning), the room was spotless, all facilities worked perfectly. The location was strategic. Take Bus #26 heading to Macau City if you're coming from the airport. Stop at Ponte 16 and the road to the inn is directly across the lobby facade of Sofitel. Walking distance to Senado Square. OK Minimart is just around the corner. The only downside was just that they deactivate the use of elevator. But if you're taking the double bed, you can get the room at the second floor. So no biggie. :) A very pleasant stay.

I met three different people in the reception and they were all very accommodating and helpful with all of our questions since we arrived Macau without any itinerary and proper research. The place is quite new. Rooms are spacious, aircon is good, water pressure in the shower is good. They provide free coffee/tea and water in the common kitchen. Free to use the washing maching and dryer (I think). They require 100MOP deposit upfront which is ok. Only deal breaker is there is no lift and you are not lucky if you get assigned to 5th floor. But we did not mind as we are a group of travelers in our 20s with very little amount of luggages. I liked that the place is accessible from the tourist destinations. walking distance from the bus station and Senado square. Good Macau restaurants around too.

Beyond my expectations”
I had such a great time in this hotel! I actually booked a room for 3 nights but due to a change in my travel plan, I only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It's located across Sofitel, so you could use its free shuttle bus service. Only a few minutes walk away to Senado Square. The staffs were friendly and attentive, they could also speak English well enough (you wouldn't believe how hard it was to find English speaking people in Macau). The internet in the room was fast and they also provided 2 iMacs in the lobby that you could use for free. The breakfast was good for a budget hotel. The only problem was that you couldn't use the elevator to get to the 2nd floor, but thank God the staff helped carrying my luggage. I will definitely come back to this hotel when I visit Macau in the future!

this is second time i travel to macau. 5footway inn is more better and convenient than last time where is stay. hotel located very close to Ruins of St.Paul's. it was only 10 minutes distance and you just walking straight away on the main street, the macau most famous landmark just at your left. also have a casino opposite the hotel for who's going to try their luck.

Basic but value for money”
TIP #1: Finding the hotel is tricky. If you are arriving in the Outer Harbour, here's a guide. Take the Sofitel Ponte 15 Shuttle Bus to Sofitel Hotel. It comes every 15-30 minutes (be patient). The bus will drop you off right in front of the hotel (1F different from GF). Take the escalator going down to the GF and out to the main street/road. From the main street/road, walk to your right, just a few steps and you will see a pedestrian crossing in front of Circle K convenience store. Cross the street and turn left. Turn right in the first corner and you will see the 5Footway Inn sign no more than 200 meters away. TIP #2: WIFI is weak where we stayed in the 4th Floor. You can stay in the lobby if you want faster connection. However, sometimes you may get WIFI reception from Sofitel Hotel, so try to look for it and connect (no password!). The room is very basic (towel, slippers, bath gel, shampoo and electric kettle) but spacious. Windows are big and the room we stayed in even had balcony access. So much natural light was coming in from the windows, which is great! Should I return to Macau on a budget, I would consider staying in 5Footway Inn again.

As a travelers who chose 5 footway inn for 3 times, I can say that 5 footway inn disappointed me this time. The room is not clean enough with heavy smoky scent. The worst thing is that air con is on but not cooling enough. Macau is quite hot these days. It is annoying.

I've visited Macau many times and I've booked with other hotels but this one is by far the best in terms of location and price. If you are in Macau you will most likely spend most of your day out anyway so book a spot that's close to the central and cheap which this place was.

Good hotel at Great location”
The hotel location is quite good which not far from main tourist attraction (ie: Largo do Senardo etc) and the rate is reasonable. I stay here 4 nights and happy with my stay. The room is not big but suitable for 2 budget travellers. In front of this hotel (Ponte 16 Resort), you can ride free shuttle bus to Macau-Zhuhai border and Macau-Hong Kong Outer Port. If you want to visit main casino/ entertainment mall (like Parisian/ Venetian etc), you can transit at Macau-Hong Kong Outer Port, there are so many free shuttle buses there. Few minutes walk, you can see few Macau traditional cafe and convenient store. If you are Vegetarian, there are few good Vegetarian Cafe/ Restaurant not far from here (10 minutes walk). Conclusion : the hotel provide real value for budget traveller. If you looking for 4-star/ 5-star facilities, this hotel not for you.

Comfortable, mostly pleasan, but LOUD”
My stay was mostly pleasant. The staff is extremely helpful, and they'll help you find whatever you need. They directed me, for instance, to nearby vegetarian restaurants. Also, they gave me a free upgrade from a twin room to a double. I didn't need it, but it was nice! The only thing was--and this was probably due to the Chinese New Year--around 2am, the hotel exploded with noise. People were yelling in the hallways and knocking loudly on doors, laughing and slamming things, for over an hour. Fortunately, I didn't need to be up early, but still, it's quite unpleasant to be awoken in such a manner. This wasn't the hotel's fault, of course, but the walls are quite thin and the doors slam if you don't carefully close them yourself. Breakfast was toast and peanut butter with fruit and unlimited coffee from a machine. I loved that the machine had so many options (capp., mocha, hot chocolate, etc). Over all, I had a nice stay, and with the hotel prices in Macau, this was quite a bargain (though still pretty expensive).

Near Bus Station”
We stayed here for one night, it was behind a building that’s infront of Sofitel. Easy to locate though the signage is in Chinese characters the number “5” gave it away. The rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. The hotel is near bus stations which lets you tour Macau conveniently and it’s also a walking distance to St. Paul Ruins and Senado Square, a must visit when going to Macau. The only cons I can think of is they don’t serve breakfast and the lift is not working, good thing we were only assigned to 3rd floor which is by the way still hard considering we have luggages with us.

Our stay was pleasant...the staff were really friendly and helpful...the room was bigger than I expected...although you would need 200 macau pataca for a deposit(which was a surprise)... this hotel was just across the sofitel which has a free shuttle to the ferry to hong kong which was a big plus for me... I would stay here again on my next visit ^_^

The hotel is very accessible to all places, just a five minute drive by taxi to Macau ferry if you are considering crossing to HK. A lot of restaurant nearby and the food doesn’t even cost that much. The staff are so accommodating and nice. The only downside, no fridge so don’t bother having a takeaway food with you and nobody cleans my room the trash bin was already stuffed with rubbish on the day I checked out 😟. But will definitely recommend them to travelers. Thumbs up!
