Strange hotel in an unmarked building
Cheapest 4-star hotel available in December
A bit of a strange place. I think the lower bottom floors of the building are set aside for hotel use- and the upper floors are private condo apartments. In any case- this building was a bit to find- because the location is all the way on the west side- a short walk from HK Island's western-most MTR station. The room was also fairly-sized- given how small HK hotel rooms are mostly. The place was alright for the price- but 4-stars is a bit of a stretch. It's probably 3-star with a little bit extra given for a bigger-than HK-average room size.

Okay place for the price.
Decent enough hotel.
60 west hotel had a good location downtown, and for the price we paid, it was pretty decent. we checked in late, the staff at the front were helpful, and the room was a bit small but cormfortable. i would recommend 60 west and stay there again.

Modern rooms, good price
big and modern rooms (in terms of hong kong), fast wifi
hotel is well located (about 10-15 min walk from mtr sheung wan) doors are locked with regular metal key (which can be problem in case of lost) early check-in (before 2pm) is not possible. beware, in case of early incoming fly

Location wanting, but rooms and service top notch
Clean, spacious, attentive staff and great 3rd floor waiting room
a friend booked this hotel for us on a visa trip to hong kong. i'd been to the city twice before, was on business this trip, so stellar location (or room with a view) wasn't a top priority. 60 west is all the way at the end of the island line, and then a brisk 10 minute walk from the mtr exit. it's not the most happening part of town, but it is on hong kong island, and is accessible quite nicely via tram if one has heavy luggage in tow. the room was great! clean and quite big, particularly for hong kong standards. the staff was courteous and helpful. after we checked out at noon, it was great to have the third floor public room available in the afternoon before our evening flight.

Nice apartment with good service and space
The room is spacy relatively on the island, good mix. with tentants.
The Location of Apartment is very good, although it is a little bit fell short with HK MTR Subway (about 10 minute walk). Still it is very accessible to Macau's ferry terminal and HK Airport. No problem with transportation for the location is very close to trams. Shopping and restaurant is also not far away from the spot. For tourists want to mingle with locals and have a feel with their daily lives, it's a good choice!

Great central place to stay in HK on a budget
Location, reasonably priced, kitchenette
I stayed at 60 West Hotel in late Jan / early Feb this year. The location is excellent...close to Central but also very local as Des Voeux St is the dried seafood street. The rooms are a reasonable size with a kitchenette - sink, fridge, microwave, some cutlery and crockery. There are also plenty of supermarkets behind Des Voeux St. The interior design is modern and the price of the room was very reasonable especially for a central location in HK. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a good priced, local experience in HK!!

Spacious, bright, clean and well-located hotel
Quiet despite location on a busy main street
The staff was pleasant and accommodating and gave a free upgrade upon arrival. It was a brief stay, but one that was very pleasant.

Poor reception service
Apartment-like service
The reception staff was badly-mannered. We asked for an iPod loudspeaker which was said to be in every room when I called the hotel. However they said there isn't any. We were allocated in the 2nd floor right next to the gym room, which was kind of weird. In conclusion, except the fact that they had microwave oven and a fridge, everything else was disappointing. No next time.
