Location rating score
Facilities are really good and clean, and the beds are separated by curtains so there's more privacy than in most hostels.

Nice hostel for backpackers which is 10-15 min walk from Farrer Park MRT Exit G. ”
Nice hostel for backpackers which is 10-15 min walk from Farrer Park MRT Exit G. I believe there are two or more exits make sure you go to Exit G (where it says City Square Mall - just ask the locals or indians) bY following the directions inside the MRT. You'll know you are in the correct exit if you see City Square mall outside the MRT. Then, turn LEFT , youll pass temples, some pubs/clubs. They offer free breakfast (coffee and bread/butter). Note that preparing your breakfast is self service. Unlimited coffee and tea. They also have microwave should you want to heat your food. Nearest hawker center where you can eat budget food is in Tekka Center which is opposite side when you exit Little India MRT. Or, you can head to Chinatown which is 4 stop from farrer park mrt. When you exit Chinatown MRT , you can see right away the food stalls - just roam around and find the stalls where you want to eat. Tip: Buy a Singapore Tourist pass at the MRT inside the airport. Take a MRT to th
Good value, friendly staff, large beds”
We stayed one night in January 2016. We chose 60s hostel for the price, good reviews, and the later checkin times, as our flight would not arrive until late. In the end we were much later than we thought as the street was partially blocked off dye to holiday parades. What a surprise when we were noticed by the staff outside before we even got to the place. She checked us in quickly and told us where we could still get food at 1 am. We were very pleased with the extra-wide beds. Just one warning. Checkout is at 11, so do not wait until 10 to shower. With only two available restrooms, it can be tight. :)
Value for Money in Backpacker Area”
60's Hostel has the essentials - a clean bed with privacy curtains, an okay bathroom, WiFi (though a bit spotty). The privacy curtains were a huge factor for me picking this place over other hostels. Was worried about staying in a mixed dorm (as I'm a solo female traveler) but it went by without a hitch. Spend your SGD on more worthwhile things like shopping or the hawker food! Located between 2 MRT stations so you can access Little India stop to get to places. Would stay again if I was on a budget!
Comfortable hostel to stay”
I stayed at the 60s Hostel for 3 nights and this was amazing. Even though it is cheap hostel, the room is quite nice. The best thing of this hostel is that rooms have box-type beds which allow you to have privacy space with curtains. It was 8 dorm room, but I didn't feel like that. I needed to check out in early morning, but it was no problem because the reception was opening 24 hours.
This is my first time staying in a dorm style hotel. And 60s Hostel gave me a good experience. I still have privacy because of the curtains per bed. You also have your own socket per bed. Have to walk 5mins from hostel to where you eat your breakfast, but it's fine because you'll be able to appreciate the morning rush in Serangoon Rd. Will definitely stay here again if I come back
Friendly staff, clean room, good location”
Recomended hostel in singapore Next time if i go to singapore, i'll back to stay in here. Friendly staf, room full Ac, large room with inside bathroom (family room), but not tv in room but its okay with the low price. And once more near to Mrt and halal restaurant.. Near to bus stop . Near to city mall, mustafa center and the best choice for your stay..
Best hostel experience ever”
The best hostel I've ever stayed in Singapore. Their friendly staffs even prepared a lot of foods for us to celebrate Christmas! Hostel location is within walking distance to the MRT station and a 24hours convenient store. Bed is clean and comfy. Really love their privacy curtain and bed light. Breakfast have to be redeem at a restaurant about 100m away, you'll get two hard boiled eggs, tea or coffee, and toast or chicken pau. Good enough for simple breakfast but I'd prefer soft- boiled eggs. Too bad the restaurant doesn't allow us to change it.
Wonderful "retro" experience & hospitality”
nice, cosy & clean little hostel in Little India. Mins walk to bus stops & MRT. very helpful employees...thank yous to Raudah, Andrew, Sean & the cleaning "uncle" for making my stay very memorable. Keep up the good work!!!
Near Farrer Park MRT (10 minute walk) and some food court about 3-6 SGD/meal, near Little India MRT and on-the-strait way to Chinatown MRT. In center of MRT so need 32 SGD for 5D4N trip. - Clean room, quiet, warmly staff, breakfeast good. Very good hostel for single or group.
Transferred to The Hive due to overbooking ”
I was transferred to The Hive hostel opp 60’s Hostel upon arrival due to overbooking. Although I was pretty disappointed that the beds in The Hive came without curtains, the beds were kept clean and every guest are given a comfy blanket :)
Good for anyone within a budget. ”
Singapore is expensive you can save mony by staying in 60s hostel. the mrt is a 5 min walk from the hotel.
Really good place, awesome staff! ”
This hostel is awesome! One of the cheapest options in Singapore and really worth it! Comfortable beds, clean place, really good Internet and excellent staff!!!! The only bad thing is the breakfast. They give you a ticket for a place that the food is completely awful! We even decided not to eat the breakfast anymore as it was disgusting. A part of that everything in the hostel was really really good.
As usual, another pleasant experience”
another pleasant stay at 60s hostel. Friendly employees & very clean. I love the privacy curtains on each bed! Looking forward to staying at 60s in 2016. Keep up the good work!!!
great experience ”
booked a bunk bed in 8 beds mixed dorm room.. really enjoyed this hostel.. the room was clean.. the staff gave me 1 key for locker and 1 keycard to access to room .. location is really great.. near Farrer park station.. 5 minutes walk.. bathroom really spacious, water heater provided by hostel... there was a light and curtains in every single bed.. got to know 3 backpackers from Russia, and 1 from Australia.. I definitely would recommend this hostel.. and Will book this hostel whenever I go back to Singapore...
My stay at 60's hostel is really really nice. I love the feel of the room and it's actually very clean. Staff is very friendly and the fact that the hostel's reception is open 24/7 is just amazing. We checked in at midnight because we can't check in throughout the day due to our plans but it was a smooth process. Linens and towels are really clean and smells really good, and the fact that towels are provided is also a plus. Location is quite good and pretty convenient, MRT is very near. Taxi and bus is accessible nearby too. I wish the toilet cleanliness would be better as there is hair all over the toilet bowl from the previous guest and the sink is a little bit dirty. The bed is comfortable but the bunk bed is a bit scary and dangerous. Me and my brother took the top bunk and we both almost fell from climbing up, it was too straight and nothing much to grip onto. The sides of the bed seem very dangerous too as there is not much railing and I feel uneasy by the fact that i might fall off the bed. Overall, I would definitely be back and I highly recommend 60's hostel to anyone who is visiting Singapore. Thank You.
Best hostel for among so many ”
Cleanliness - ***** Comfort - **** Location - **** Design - ***** Security - ***** To think that I would ever write a review for a hostel for the first time. Why spent your sleeping hours on this you asked? Put it simply because it's too darn good to be real.$15sg per night with air-condition and free breakfast .Theres even a drying and washing service for your clothes under $4sg.A socket for every bunk without having to share . Strong WiFi. Cold and hot water provided.A microwave oven too .Chinese and Indian cuisine all over place. The nearest mrt (Farrer Park) is 10mins walk away or a 5mins walk to the bus stop which takes you to town area ( orchard and bugis). No way you can get this elsewhere. Probably cost you more than 30sg.This is a place you don't wanna miss in your life.lets keep this place clean and continue to support for its success
I would definitely return to this hostel when in Singapore. Therefore I can recommend everyone a stay in this hostel. Don't forget to eat at Adams corner nearby the hostel. Great food for a decent price.
Great memory in 60s hostel”
it quite near to mrt station (fareer park and boon keng ) .So far i have nice memory in there, all the staff in there are very nice especially jack chan. breakfast voucher will be provide from 7.30am to 9.30am and need go around 100m to coffee shop near to hostel. i also could have nice interaction with guest from all over the world and singaporean. i would like to thank jackfri (if i not mistake his name)for making special coffee and noodle for me in my last day in here. thanks to all and i will stay here again when i travel to singapore in 2017.
Value for money👍”
Pro: affordable hostel, clean, comfortable bed, good air-conditioning facilities, no bed bugs👍, free liquid soap and shampoo plus hand wash, reading lights and outlet for charging, free light breakfast, equipped w/cctv, honesty of staff and guest at its best👍, 24hrs reception area. Cons: tiny comfort room (only 2 rooms) can't accommodate high volume of guets, no lockers for luggage , good thing our roommates were honest☺. ☺value for money, cleanliness and honesty of the people. I would like to commend receptionist (forgot the name/I think he is an Indian national) for helping us in our itinerary and booking cab going to airport😊 Thanks 60's hostel and Agoda😉
Overall Great Experience”
The receptionists were very friendly, they make us feel at ease and they even go all out to help any guests to get to where they want to go. There was a polivian guy who wanted to get to melaka from singapore and the receptionists helped him for almost half a day. They also provide bed curtains!! Love this feature. It was such a lovely touch as we could actually maintain more privacy. We even got great ticket deals! We went to S.E.A aquarium and we got SGD7 discount. Other attraction sites had great discounts too! E.g singapore zoo, universal studios etc If i were to pinpoint, this hostel wasn't the cleanest. But that's just picking hay from the sack. And the location wasn't that strategic as the MRT stations were not close. Overall, it was a good stay for the price i paid :) definitely recommended!
