Superb Location & Value for Money!!!”
I've had a very short stay just for one night as a solo traveller. I like the room even though it's very basic with attached bathroom / superb air-conditioner / a TV. The room was very clean & the bed & pillows very comfortable. I've been to Langkawi Island so many times & visited most of the sightseeing places but this trip is basically an imported chocolates hunting trip at the duty free shopping complexes as I always love imported chocolates brands such as DAIM, HERSHEY'S KISSES, TOBBLERONES & many others. It's always cheaper to get the imported chocolates at the duty free shops compared to ordinary shops. If you are lucky you might 50% off or sometimes buy 1 get 1 free. So most people would spend $$$ just for the chocolates to keep them as stocks for another 6 months or so or to give them as gifts to friends & family members. I really enjoyed checking the prices of the chocolates from one shop to another as they might have a cheaper prices at certain shops & that's the key for the imported chocolates brands hunting!!! & you will end up buying the chocolates on your last day before you back with the best prices... at some point you have to realize that chocolates tends to get melt... that why you need to get your stocks on your last day just before you go back home. I always get some at the beginning just for personal consumtion or to get the taste of it before buy them in stocks. Anyways, I've accomplished my imported chocolates hunting mission when I was in Langkawi with my stay at the 8 Doors Inn. Had a really great time!!!

Value for money, superb location but weird toilet”
We stayed for 3D/2N here last weekend. I booked this inn through Agoda because it has a good low-price/great review ratio. The location is superb, it's right opposite Underwater World and The Zon/Coco Valley. They have 9 rooms, despite the name being "8 Doors". You need to walk about 20 metres from the main road. When we arrived the receptionist was warm and helpful, and when we settled down in our room (the nearest to the reception) she even offered us to see other empty rooms to let us pick our favourite. Parking area was plenty as well. As we're Muslims, she even provided us with prayer mats. On the minus side, our bed sheet wasn't changed throughout our stay. We didn't get towels when we checked in because they were still at the laundry (O_O) but we brought our own so that's fine. The floor was sandy, and we can feel sand on our bed too. Our room has no windows. Their bathrooms are badly designed! This was admitted by the receptionist that the contractor built their inn wrongly. Our bathroom is small and narrow and the toilet seat is placed sideways from the door, so you have to put on leg over the toilet seat to sit on it. The other room next to ours was worse lol. You have to be really thin to use the toilet. Our bathroom doesn't have a sink and mirror. The mirror in our bedroom was put on the floor. Despite all that, what I like about my stay here is the room is comfortable to sleep in. They meet all my basic requirement: great mattress, cool air-cond, water-heated bathroom and free WiFi! Not to mention walking distance to Pantai Cenang and the long line of restaurants, this inn is a good deal if you're aiming for a budget travel and don't mind awkwardly placed toilet seats. I'd recommend this place for solos and couples. If you're coming in a large group, you can rent the whole inn to yourself! As for myself, I don't mind staying here again...but I'd also try to find a better, more comfortable place to stay.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Room condition is as shown in the photos. Very good location. I do however wish the floor was washed or replaced. Stepped on small stones in it (ouch). Shower head can be fixed although not a serious issue. Had it not been those 2 downsides, I would have rated the place at a much higher appeal. Good to stay, I would definitely consider this place for my next visit to Langkawi :) .

A very strategic place”
Hotel is not too luxury, but was ok. However, you wont be staying in hotel all the time in Langkawi Island. Good place where you can find all restaurants, beach, tour guide package, massage and etc in walking distance. Maybe the hotel can upgrade their facilities. We found toilet lock was broken. Please ensure cleanness too. Other than that a great place to enjoy.

U can try if u look for budget place”
This is a budget place to stay when u are travelling at pantai cenang, langkawi. U can easily go to beach if u stay at here, so location is really great. However, the staff here seem to be not so hardworking, as I can't find any staff at counter when I want to check out around 8am, then I called the number they provided on the door of counter, but no one pick up. Instead of waiting, I called another number that responsible for room booking. Besides, there was no toilet paper and basin in my room and no place for me to put my clothes while taking bath. One more, my room, which is 4 persons room can't excess to wifi and the staff give me the wifi password of another motel nearby, however the wifi is not so good too.

Little 8-door inn.”
Staff was okay. Unfortunately no windows. Single room size is fairly small, but still acceptable to me. Pricing is reasonable/affordable. Shops and eating places very nearby. Comfy bed and pillow, I actually slept well over 8 hours? The air-cond works. For some reason, can be just a bit noisy at times. I'd still rate as overall good. I have already book this place again for my next trip!

Room condition not as good.”
This is my 3rd time staying in this room. First 2 stays was overall good. However, this time round the condition in the given room was not as good condition. Mosquitoes keeps coming from out of no where. Shower heater cannot be adjusted, seems to be stuck as maximum! No sink in the room. Door lock knob looks quite dodgy. This Inn is overall pleasant, but next time I will specify not to be put in room S1 (I believe it was).

centrally located but insecure”
The location is good. It is just located across the underwater world. 3 mins walk to Pantai Cenang beach and 2 mins to Mcdonald and surrounded by duty free shops. The setbacks are the room are too small. For RM 80 per night, you can only expect a big double and TV provided. No cup, no soap, no mineral water, no kettle, no tea bag. The toilet is too small to move about. The design is too weird. Find no space to sit on the toilet bowl when want to pass motion. Really don't know why they design so. May be they want to save space. The design of the room is 2 room join together but seperated by an adjoining door. When the next door bath, their water came leaking into my room (from the adjoining door). All my luggage placed on the floor are wet. (They have no cupboard to keep our luggage).There are no gate for this hotel. Anyone can just come in at anytime. Furthermore, there are no door latch. Only a door knob. Really feeling insecure during the night especially can hear men talking outside the room. There are also no one to look after the hotel. The hotel is more like self service hotel. For single lady traveller, you will have nightmare.

The place is just enough to sleep. Very comfortable. Although it can be disturbed easily if you have noisy people staying next to your room. The location is really near to the white sandy beach. Totally recommended for such price!

Good stay!”
Basic hotel for solo traveler. Good value for money with working air-cond, water heater and TV with local channels. The bed was good (although not sure about the blanket). can do with small improvements like floor mat (at entrance of the bathroom and main entrance) perhaps a small table to place things. But overall it was good place to stay if ur in budget, in fact it was the only place with air-cond for that price that i could locate at langkawi especially during the school holiday season.

Little 8 Door Inn”
The best parts of the place is easy to find the underwater world right in front, shopping mall beside it, Cenang beach just 5 min away from the place. Easily, get information about island hopping and other water activity. Taxi from airport took about 10 min to the inn. But there are some default which are the bed sheets, pillow are stain yellow and towels are limited. There no windows. Don't expect house cleaning once you have stay in. I suggest to get room for 2 person with attach bathroom. The check in time are not accurate, there no communication between staffs mia away. Basically a place for you to sleep and shower, air-con/water heater working.

The rooms are not really clean and has poor maintainence on the facilities like toilet, water heater,airconditioner etc. However, it is near to the Underwater world and Cenang Mall, it is within walking distance. BTW, the staffs are friendly.

The only special thing about the place is location. Other than that if you don't mind it's ok. As for me for the rate I get of about rm63.......it's worth it. More than that I'll think again for there are others that's better. But I've given few ideas to the receptionist for improvement of customers. Hope they listen..... Another good thing is the Wi-Fi in my room was good maybe because my room was apposite the reception area. As a regular traveller to langkawi I may stay there again to see any improvement there.......I really hope so for the owner sake. +please put your real inn pictures......be honest.....

The room provide with very small 1 blanket for 2 person use (kid size). There is no mirror provide for us to get ready for leave. Just provide a small 1 bath soap for 2 person for 3days 2night. I think with the price the owner may provide shower cream for confortable using. There is no water heater than the other hotel with the lowest price offered. Improve the television channel even tourist come was for outside activities.

Cozy and cheap, but little bit dirty”
Not bad for its price. Not far from the beach. Staff is quite hospitable but reception often empty. A little bit dirty. Towels should be replaced. Quite cozy room with air-conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi. Big comfortable bed. No window in the room - good sleep.

8 Doors Langkawi”
It definitely wasn't value for money. The room (10m2) was far too small to to put anything anywhere. The door virtually opens onto the bed which is enclosed by 3 walls (no window), and a small space to get to the bathroom which did not have any space to put anything anywhere so you only had the area (prob 1m2 to put your bags!) I always look under the bed and that had not been cleaned in a long time! Was very claustrophobic as there was only the door to exit and enter. I had smaller space in Hong Kong but as the beds were raised there was space under the bed to pack. Maybe they should think about this?
