81's Inn Nakasu
Mahalo 81s Inn Nakasu”
Good place to stay for the rates. In my experience the staff was very helpful when my luggage wheel broke, the woman at the front (sorry I didn't get a name) could find a place for me to take care of it. It's clean but it does tend to be busy.
I booked for 5 days which in 2 nights the shower was completely cold.(It was below 10C those night) Also, the hair dryer is in the shower where there are only 2 available for that many guests. The bed is a bit too small even for capsule hostel like this. The location is not bad tho.
Good Hostel ”
economical and clean hotel”
The staff are not in the front desk in the late night. But if your check in is not in late night, it's not a problem. This guesthouse is clean and looks modern, and the location is near city central and very cheap. I'd like to consider stay again if I visit Fukuoka next time (^o^)
Good hostel in Fukuoka”
The hostel is generally good, but the owner obviously tried some cost saving techniques when is evident here and there. When compared to another similarly priced hostel in Fukuoka "The LIFE bar and lounge", the bed is smaller, no kitchen, bathroom is a slightly cheap and plasticky integrated one and the floor is squeaky. Also the location requires a bit of walking into Fukuoka's downtown center and subways That's not to say the hostel is not good, its just that at the price point, it is not competitive to some of its peers. It remains an option for my future visit, but not a priority.
It was great stay and very reasonable price.”
I booked this hostel as it was the cheapest available. Later on I came to know about the reviews and most reviews were very bad, so i thought I made a mistake. But all the reviews proved wrong in my case, because it was all just perfect. 5 out of 5 my review.
Not a good choice in Fukuoka”
The hostel is about 7-10 mins walk from the nearest subway station and near Hakata station. However, the bedroom is in some disorder and crowded. The lamp is on all day long if nobody turns it off. If you stay in the upper bunk, if may get influenced by it.
A bit far from subway but very near a bus stop! Cheap and easy accommodation in the heart of city ”
I had a nightmare in the other branch, (81's Fukuoka/Hakata), I messed up the booking. But This Branch (81's Inn Nakasu) saved the day. It is cheap, easy to navigate, nice bathrooms and toilet and very nice common area. The only thing is that this branch is new and might smell a little bit of paint. Maybe after sometime it will no longer smell new paint anymore and it will be better. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay.
Dirty, uncomfortable bed, not even cups or plates to eat properly, no luggage room. The fridge was ridiculously small for all the guests. I slept on the top bed and every time the guest under me moved (even slightly) felt like an earthquake occurred !
Second time around. Improvement!”
I gave 81's Inn Nakasu another shot. Like last time, a fast checking in, friendly staff. My previous review of 81's was good, but, with a few minor inconveniences. In my previous review I mentioned that soap & shampoo dispensers in the showers were empty and that the dorm room I stayed in had stuffy, stale air because no ventilation, no air conditioning, no fan. Also, tissue box was empty. Good news! This time there was shampoo, soap, ventilation/fan in room, and tissue paper. It was a comfortable stay, slept well. A good value!
Having a good experience!”
Like the place! It's just in the center of the town, about 8 minutes walk from the nearest station. Also, I could explore many sightseeings in Hakata by walking from this place. The staff was also very nice! He could speak English fluently. The room and the bathroom were very clean. And I loved the shared lounge.
not that bad place and staff was kind enough. But I couldn't sleep enough because of the sound of creaking upper bed. nice place to meet other people though. I met some guys here and travel together
Value for Money”
It was good experience using this place to stay during my travel to Fukuoka. The location is very near to Tenjin area nd close to Nakasu Kawabata subway station. There are some restaurant which is near from this place such as, hotto motto (bento-cheap), ramen shop and etc. In the morning you have to wait to take shower, and after people take shower the bathroom are messy. So, if you are in hurry you should take shower earlier. Bedroom lamp will shut down on 10.00 pm. It is good for travelers who wanna sleep well.
not clean enough. especially the bed. something bite me when i sleep. the quilt cover have stains. if you want to save the money, please prepare all thing by yourself. the surcharge for anything is very unreasonable.
Good value, But...”
Pros: -Staff was very friendly and efficient. Check-in was fast. -Depending on what you are interested in, the location is rather good for the price. -The bed was clean, had a light and electrical outlet. Cons: -At night the dorm room air was rather stuffy. Air conditioner was off and no air ventilation. Given that this is Japan/Kysushu air conditioning is a must in early Sept. If not aircon, then fan, or ventilation. -In the room, tissue paper box was empty. Other people used the community table as a place to set all their stuff, chairs had towels and pants draped over them. Had to move other people crap to sit down. -Showers were clean, but, soap, shampoo dispensers were empty. Despite all the cons (empty containers), it was a comfortable. I slept well.
Bad service ”
I couldn't call them to extend check in time
It is really Nice to meet Mun Gyeng Yeol,Ayano...There r places to sit and talk, and microoven and hot water
Great & Good location”
Worth the price, and good place to make friends,i met 3 Koreans and 1 Japanese girl,we talk a lot,it is really nice
This guest house is newly opened, aroun 10 min to train station. and 5 min to 100 yen bus stop. it's clean and tidy. if you want to stay in quit area, higholy recomend
Nice place for staying. If you are finding a cheap place for staying in Fukuoka which is comfortable and near station, this place is for you.
