Yes! This is really my right choice. 9 Hostel & Bar is located in the central location if you walk to the pedestrian street, Independence Palace, park, Bui Vien, and museums are all very close, just over 1km. The important thing is that the beds here are very sturdy, the bed frame is large so it is not affected much if the other person moves, the mattress is just right, not too hard or too soft, providing a good night's sleep. The price is very cheap compared to the central location. Will definitely come back here next time. Love!

When I go to SG, I usually stay in a dorm and this place is the best I have ever stayed in. The bed designs all have a window to look outside. The beds are quite comfortable. The room is clean and odorless. The bathroom has a row of many spacious stalls. There is no noise disturbance. It's a 10 out of 10 for me.

Hi Alien. It’s me! DJ Aria from Malaysia. Sorry being busy after Vietnam trip. I’m highly recommend this hostel. This is the first time I visiting Vietnam. Before I come, I read those review at Agoda and xhs about Vietnam is noisy because of the motor. Seriously? I could sleep at this dom. Our dom window just facing the street. Air- co is cold. I come during April (super hot timing), so there is no issue for me. Beside your bed have locker, you can lock your value thing here before you go out or go to shower. Locker can at less fix in 2 luggage. Very convenient. The hostel do provide towel. You could change it everyday at counter. The cleaner will change bed sheet and blanket every time a person check out. So no worry about the hygiene. Toilet is clean. As long as you don’t meet dirty traveler don’t flash the toilet after use. (I would stop that person even being dirty and I don’t care where you come from.) There is shower room at third room. Hostel provide shampoo and shower gel as well. Inside shower area have big mirror and hair dryer. Here don’t have lift, you can walk up there. Here is just hostel not 5 star hotel. This hostel is good. I feel like back to college time when I stay in hostel. Even the staff working here, they can speak English too. One thing I feel unhappy about is those traveler is very very rude to them. If you have so many thing complain about, why don’t spend some money on luxury 5 star hotel. I see a lot rude travelers when I sitting down there and chill. People start act rude when the staff request deposit from them, come on it is just 200k vnd and the deposit will be return after you check out or you can leave your passport to them. They won’t cheat your passport, ok? They are human, people are working hard for family. I don’t freaking understand why some traveler like to be rude attitude. But still some traveler is nice and they will chit chat with you. Finally, conclusion, I’m a nightclub DJ work in Malaysia and visiting Vietnam first time for photoshoot. I like this hostel. Staff are friendly and Alien always chit chat with me, sharing me about his life and where he travel. He is humble and friendly. Please don’t bully the staff at here and be nice to them. They are friendly actually. I have no problem and no issue on them. The price is reasonable and what provide here is good enough for the price. If traveler have issue in communicate with them, use your google translate. Don’t be so cibai attitude and act like prince or princess. Download travel app before u come. Some app like grab is very useful here. Grab motor is super nice and highly recommended to use grab motor! Safe and fast than car. I will come back here again soon! The staff is really kind and easy to speak with. I find it difficult to speak English with locals, but they are quite fluent. The location is pretty nice, particularly for backpackers. There are also 2 convenience stores near the hotel and atm machine just walking distance. Everything is amazing there. You can request them to replace the towels and clean the room every day (at no additional charge). The only thing that spoilt the stay was there were no elevator on the premises (we have to carry our heavy luggage upstairs lol), but I suppose that's to be expected given that it's mostly geared towards backpackers and budget travellers. We requested a late check-out the next day because our bus to Da Lat leaves at 11 p.m., but we were unable to do so. However, they were really kind to us and allowed us to leave our stuff in the back store and let us take shower (even provided us a towel) for free. Would come here again next time!

Overall, it is a good place to stay but there are some parts that need to improve such as the facilities in the room like TV & hot water not functioning), the airconds was not fully cold especially in the midnight. We stayed at the 5th floor and the room is quite spacious and the cleaning services were great as well. This hostel also do provide laundry service where it cost 20K Dong per kg which is reasonable price. The wifi connection also stable and run at high speed. The lady at the receptionist counter were also very helpful and friendly and she do speaks very fluent English. Overall, this is one of the great place to stay in District 1.
