Why did we not find this gem sooner!”

Traveling as a family in Rome, we wanted to stay a day longer but our other accommodation could not extend, so we went looking on Agoda for a 1 night stay. We booked at Casa Nostra and dreaded having to pack up and move to another place again just for 1 night. but They were so accommodating - allowing us to drop off our luggage early in the morning and telling us that we could get the room early! It was small, but just what we needed, and the delicious croissants for breakfast the next morning had us wanting more! Having the use of the shared kitchenette was a real bonus, private bathroom a absolute necessity and then also allowing us to leave our luggage until 5 pm the next day after we had checked out, just freed us up to see even more of Rome. Why did we not find this place sooner and stay longer! Thanks Giorgio, Ovidio and Alan!

Every beginning is hard. (?)”

Staff, room, breakfast.

In the morning of our departure to Rome I called the Casa Nostra, they were very friendly etc. Then we arrived at 22.30 (late check-in), there was no free room. They transported us to an apartment located ca. 5 minutes away from Casa nostra, where there was booked a room for one person (!) through Agoda, the staff was extremely unfriendly and wanted to throw one of us out. Fortunately we had the phone number of casa nostra and after a long discussion (organized by me!!!) the two apartments arranged our first night at the "unknown" place. The room was quite dirty with shaby furniture, there was only common bathroom etc. Agoda: payback? Next day morning we walked to casa nostra, there still was no free room. We left our baggage there and went to Colosseum. After that everthing was OK, we had a small but comfortable double room with bathroom, good furniture, friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Nostra. But the first night... Casa Nostra is a good place but sometimes they make mistakes with bookings.

Excellent value, friendly and supportive staff”

Good value, good location and great service and friendly staff

My family and I were very pleased with Casa Nostra. The location was close to the Colosseum, just beside a metro station and buses. Our room was modern, very clean and included breakfast (though a basic one). The most outstanding part was the staff. Giorgio, Alex, Andrea, Vicky and Ovidio (hope I spelled their names right) were really helpful and went the extra mile. They were very friendly and took the time to give us some advice about Rome. They also offered the transportation to the airport, which we took with them, since it is more convenient and even cheaper than taking the train or a cab.

Friendly Hospitality + Comfortable & Clean Room”

Excellent Staff, Cleanliness, Value For Money

A pleasure to have met 2 of the most hospitable people in Italy on my virgin trip: George and Ovidio! They were so helpful in giving all the tips to beat the long queues at the touristy locations and for recommending fabulous restaurants! We first met George at the said location, and was later informed that we had to move ourselves to a newly-renovated apartment for our stay. This was the only negative point as my girlfriend and I had just walked 20 minutes under a drizzle to the apartment (we thought it was pretty near the Roma Termini station but it was not), and was directed to one that was another 7 minutes away. Other than that, I would say the room was spacious, sheets were clean, toilet was brand new and there was even an area to store our luggage and keep our shoes! Furthermore, the room had a queen-sized bed and another bunk bed, most suitable for a family of 4. Sad thing was that there was a little issue with the WIFI reception, but Ovidio was kind enough to place the router in our room, allowing us full access to the connection. Location-wise, 5 minutes walk from Manzoni Station, and every other attraction was just within 30 minutes reach, which was fine because Rome was great to explore on foot, rather than in the subway looking at tunnels. And did I say how friendly George and Ovidio were? Patiently drawing up a map, circling the key attractions, plotting the route, planning our itinerary, recommending restaurants and gelaterias (Spaccio Pasta & Valentino Gelateria)... All of these added up to a wonderful time in Rome!

Casa Nostra was so nice! Location was perfect. Just a three minute walk to the train station. All pertinent attractions were just a stroll away…. The staff were all very helpful! Close to city center, nice and clean room, friendly staff

We can really rekommend this small hotel close to termini trainstation and Colosseum. The staff was very friendly and helpfull att all times and made our visit to Rome very pleasant. They have quick internet/wifi. The hotel is close to public transportations, but we usually chosed to walk. Our room was small but recently renovated so it was very new and clean. They have larger rooms for family or a small group of friends. Have a nice stay in Rome :)

A place i will come back to”

1. The rooms were very clean, including the bathroom and beds. 2. The staff really take care of you. Especially the owner Girogio. 3. The location is really great, value for money at its best.

It was my first time in Rome so I really didn’t know what to expect. When I got to the location it was just a great big door so I wasn’t sure if I had arrived. This Tall Guy opened with a big smile, it was the owner. He showed me the room which was exactly how I saw it on agoda, nice, clean with good A.C. They were very hands on in explaining how to go about Rome. The train station is 2 mins walk. The coliseum around 5-10 mins walk. You have cheap groceries beside it for necessities and some good decent priced chinese and turkish restaurants nearby once you’ve had too much italian food. Over all, it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely stay here again.

Good place - yet the address is not as described!”

Great bedroom, reasonably good breakfast and good coffee!

We had a good stay and we have no issues with the living conditions at the place. Andrea was a good host and provided us with all the information we needed. The only problem is that we lugged our luggage for 10-15 minutes at first looking for A Casa Nostra, which is part of an apartment building and not very easy to find. Once we found the place, the receptionist informed us that we will be staying in a different villa and provided us with a map and instructions to reach the place. What she described as a 5 minutes walk, took us more than 1 hour to find as the instructions she provided were not clear. She described a major road as a 'walkway', which lead us to going the wrong way. If they are getting people to different locations, they should at least walk us to the different place.

Big Comfort Room on the main Street”

Comfort, Helpful & friendly staffs, Great Breakfast

A very cozy & clean place to stay with a common kitchen right outside our room. Just a few steps away from the Metro station & 5-10min walk to Colossuem. The best of all is the service provided by Giorgio & Andrea is excellent. Despite our late check-in and my wrong flight infor update, Giorgio gave follow-up call and waited for us to settle down, provided useful tips and good local resturants before he called for a day. And Andrea makes the best croissant and cappuccino for our breakfast.Even we have some language burden, that doesnt stop her from being warm and nice to us during our stay. Will definitely recommend friends to this value for $$ hotel and will come back to stay if we are in Rome.

Provided us with nice room”

We liked our room and the location which was not close to seedy-shady Termini train station. The area had cafes and walking distance to Colosseum. The bathrooms were big. The hot water didn't work and it was little bit cold in the room because of May showers in Rome. The room can update its comforters and sheets to new ones though ours were clean. Checking-in procedure (post 8PM) was stressful and confusing inspite of many texts and phone calls in advance. Rest of the stay was pleasant and good.

We were placed in a different hotel!”

We were one of those moved like many others have mentioned in their reviews. Our new hotel was about 5 mins walk in the opposite direction of the Colosseum. The new hotel was clean and tidy with big rooms, but lacked tv's or any facilites to make hot drinks. The wifi worked intermittently at best. However, the lady that served us was fantastic, helping us with everything from planning our days tours to restaurant recommendations and she was a great friendly face to come back to each day. If we visit rome again, we would like to stay to the northwest of this hotel as that felt most like the town centre with the most attractions. This felt more like a residential area. My only real annoyance with this hotel is not being told before we arrived that we would be staying elsewhere. I feel it would have been courteous of the staff to have contacted me to tell me to go directly to the new address rather than play stupid and tell me that i had "not booked at a casa nostra" and was booked into the other hotel. Anyway, i would suggest only booking this if you are happy that there is a chance you will not be staying in the hotel you have booked!

Great and strategic location, 15' walking from Termini and 15-20' from Colosseo. Quiet location with many shops at walking distance (24h open bar at 15 meters). Parking available at 50 meters for 25 Euro/day. Ovidio, the owner, is a friendly and polite man. Little open space where you can relax and have your coffee. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Simple italian breakfast in the morning. We got 2 triple room at 40 euro/night each. For this price this B&B has a great value for money.

The place was not hard to find by the taxi and we were immediately greeted by the staff. However we were transferred to a different hostel since it was booked. But we were transported by a car so we didnt have to walk. The place is new and clean but it was on the 3rd floor with no elevator so we had to haul our luggages and strollers up the stairs. There was a filipino staff the following day so we were assisted quite well. The breakfast that was served was simple but since we are not a Breakfast kind of family, it wAs okay. The Nreakfast area has a ref, and microwave to use. Downside is the wifi cannot Reach our room so my Husband has to go down everytime he has to Plan our itenerary. " and won't retune my fee. I am pretty sure now that the stuff selected the wrong data, but he didn't tell me the truth, instead he just through my problem away. that's the only thing I felt very unhappy at Rome.
