Pros: awesome location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, large rooms, good air conditioning, free items in mini bar, great shower pressure, updated restrooms, nice decorations in room, absolutely gorgeous views from the top of hotel, easily accessible,. Free welcome drink! Cons: NOT ONE!
Amazing location ”
If you want to explore the heart of Athens this is the hotel you need, perfect location very clean ,nice breakfast at the rooftop bar,10 min walking to acropolis ,monastiraki market just opposite and many good restaurants.
We are greeted by a friendly and helpful staff at the reception. We were able to check in early and we were grateful to his help. The room is spacious and clean. It even comes with a sitting area with a 3-seater sofa. The bed is comfortable. The greatest bonus is the rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking the Acropolis. We were given 2 welcome drink at the bar and not only were we able to enjoy good quality wine, we have had the best view! Will stay there again if I am ever back in Athens.
Great location, comfortable stay”
Hotel was just next to Monastiraki Square and the train station, so convenient. We booked a 2D1N tour out of Athens and we were allowed to keep our luggage in store at the hotel. When we came back, they gave us an upgrade to a room facing the Acropolis. Fantastic! For 2 mornings, we missed breakfast as we had to catch an early pick-up and flight, the hotel prepared breakfast boxes for us. Happy!
Central location ideal for first visit to Athens - but noisy”
The location of this hotel cannot be beat if you're on your first visit to Athens as you can reach most key sites on foot if you're relatively fit - the Acropolis is about a 30-walk stroll uphill. You're right beside Monastiraki Square, so it's buzzy, central, and you can stay out late easily. The view from the restaurant is great but outside of breakfast hours, it's just way too crowded - make a reservation or just skip it; I didn't even bother getting my two free welcome drinks as the wait staff looked so harassed when I stepped in on my first afternoon after lunch - even then, the place was still packed. The central location of this hotel though means it's noisy on the weekends as there are bars and clubs around; the weekend was bad. I had a room beside the street and there were people partying till 4-5am on the Sunday I was there in April. Ear plugs are available in the room. Love it for my first visit to Athens, but I'll choose a calmer place next time!
The hotel offers no-frills, modern, and clean accommodation. This is my third time to stay at this hotel. Its location is perfect. The Metro connects the airport directly to the hotel. A for Athens faces the Monastiraki Square, gateway to the great Plaka district with its shops and restaurants. Behind the hotel is the Pssiri area with its wonderful tavernas. It is walking distance to the Syntagma Square and the National Archaeological Museum. Complimentary breakfast is served at the hotel's rooftop venue with a sweeping view of the Parthenon. Best of all, I most appreciate its helpful front desk staff Vangelis and Yanni whom I met in 2017, during my first stay at the hotel.
APlus for Athens”
Best location, superb views from room, stunning rooftop views and sunset watching, fabulous bar with delicious cocktails and friendly staff.
Good location, nice view”
Friendly staff, roof top restaurant is really nice. Location unbeatable, only some noise but does not bother us.
Will be back”
The staff were amazing very helpful. Stored our luggage when we were early and delivered to our room. The products were beautiful. Roof top bar was tops. Excellent view of Parthenon and square. Would stay here again
Great location but too loud”
The location is the only positive to staying here. We stayed in a room on the top floor (5th) on Friday and Saturday nights. There is a rooftop bar which has a lovely view, however makes it very hard to sleep as they party all night. The staff were throwing bags of glass bottles down the stairs from the 6th floor where the bar is, at 11pm. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything that’s going on in the hallway. The lift is ridiculously small to get to the room with luggage. If you don’t like sleeping then I recommend staying here.
Great location and nice staff!”
Hotel's location is great. Take the metro from Airport to Monastiraki, and the hotel just walk from 1 mins. Sytagma Square and Acropolis of Athens can be reached by foot. Also, the Acroplois view is nice from their rooftop restaurant is. Free mini bar and welcome drink is extra bonus. Recommend to stay in A for Athens .
Great location! With Acropolis View from room that was gorgeous! What a pity that my travel route was affected by bad weather and I had no time to enjoy a drink at the rooftop cafe with the marvelous view. The room was spacious and clean. Kitchen and washroom were well equipped. Would stay again if I would go Athen later.
Perfect Hotel at Monastiraki, Athens”
We got upgraded - Antonis was very nice and helpful receptionist. Our new room was facing the Monastiraki Square and Acropolis, what better way to start our Athens trip. No issues with the hotel except for the size of the lifts, and that's just a minor one. All in all, a good stay in a perfect hotel.
Highly recommend this hotel, great service & location. The room is spot on, very clean. Breakfast area has a lovely view and good choices of food.
Nice staff, great room, excellent breakfast, quikcy email response!
Just a hotel room”
Best thing about this hotel is the breakfast with a great view of Acropolis. Also the staff, they were as good as you would hope for, friendly, cheerful, helpful and courteous. 10/10 for attitude of the staff. Our room was disappointing because it had no view whatsoever, it’s on the inside of the building with a view of some kind of service shaft. And the lights were quite dim so overall the room had a gloomy feel. On a good note, there was zero street noise coming into the room so we had a great sleep every night. And the room was fresh and modern. Another downside was sunset on the roof, first time we went for a look were politely refused entry because we had no reservation. Couple of days later we did make a reservation and had a beautiful interrupted sunset view over Acropolis. But the menu is small, not very interesting, meals and drinks are horrendously expensive. I would give this hotel 3/5 for the room alone, but 5/5 for the staff.
Right in front of train station, located in the middle of busy streets. A lot of good restaurants in the area. Rooftop bar was awesome. Breakfast was good. Room was not the same as in the pics, they need to update the photos.
The property is in the heart of Athens with view of Monastiriki and Acropolis. Walking distance to Plaka with small shops and restaurants. It also comes with rooftop bar & restaurant and the food is pretty good.
Maybe the best view in Athens”
The views makes you forget all little other details you'd like to be better. Whats a bit annoying is the Monastiraki square (opposite the hotel and under the windows of "Acropolis view" rooms) is busy and dirty day and night. We had no problem but didn't feel safe in that particular area, whereas 300 m away small streets of Plaka are fantastic, and the agora is only a stone throw away too. The hotel is good and modern. Just one thing is enjoy the breakfast on a rooftop that's a night club at night is nice but the smell of cigarette wont go, hence we had to have the breakfast in another room, without the view. Overall very good though and I would go back there with kids again
very good location and the room is big enough ”
basically me and my husband were very happy to stay there but when we stayed there we've got the room faced the evening sunlight and it made our room was very hot and we cannot turn on the air conditioner because it was still winter and all the air conditioner in the room was set to heater.. But besides that everything was good and the rooftop bar is very nice as well and very recommended for you to enjoy the nite there when you come to Athens
