Fantastic Hotel like everyone has said”
Aa everyone has reviewed earlier, this hotel is very nice especially when you compare it to the price and hotel's standard in this country which is a bit overrated to the room condition. But for A Little Bit of Mandalay Tavern, you will get a worthy experince from what you have paid. The staff there is also helpful. Only one thing that you have to keep in mind is the location which is now far from the city center so you better plan you trip well in order to not have to go back and forth to the hotel during your trip in a day.

Oasis in Mandalay”
My family stayed here April 9, 2016. The owner, Mr. Min Aung, was extremely kind and helpful, providing bus and taxi arrangements between Bagan and Mandalay airport. The entrance landscaping is luxurious and the patio dining areas are very pleasant, with wonderful selection of both Burmese and western fare. The hotel rooms are quaint, basic and clean, evoking the feel of earlier Colonial times. It is located in a somewhat isolated end of Mandalay, away from the traffic, so this may not be the choice for those wanting to be downtown or in the thick of the action. But it is also closer to some of the other sights such as Shwenendaw Kayung Temple and quieter (although there were some barking dogs). Overall, a lovely and highly recommended Mandalay experience.

Wonderful resting place in Mandalay”
I had a wonderful stay at A Little Bit of Mandalay. It is a tiny bit further out of the city but still very accessible but worth it for the comfort, service and dining experience - the Burmese food was incredible. The manager also let us sleep in the lobby after our overnight transport got us to Mandalay earlier than anticipated and let me check in early. This was MUCH appreciated.

Great”
This Inn was perfect for me for a couple nights. I doubt there is a better place for the money in Mandalay. The night before I had stayed very close by and paid almost $200 for the night and dealt with a smelly drain and mosquitos. Didn’t have either of those issues here. I was a little disappointed in getting 2 twin beds, but it was comfortable so I was fine. The room was warm on a cold morning and cool on a hot day. Staff was wonderful. Dinner very good - couple of dishes could have used a little more flavor but overall very yummy. Breakfast was OK but they do have great coffee for Myanmar standards . I wish there would have been a choice of eggs or Myanmar style breakfast. But, for $25 a night, how much can you really complain. The hotel is away from downtown, but I appreciated that. I can definitely recommend this Inn.

Free (is 3, apology my accent) nite stand”
A small hotel tucks in a nice quiet patch away from the buzz and rush in eastern Mandalay. It is low season, so i was enjoying the whole establishment by myself. It is a bit of a distance from everything, but 🚲 is available free of charge. I rode it for 2 days to explore the palace ( stopped at the entrance by rifle armed young soldier) and Mandalay Hills. The latter was a big challenge for the sneaky old lady (and yes it is a lady 🚲 without the normal horizontal bar that posts potential danger to the non female component). Good exercise for 2 and half hours in the early morning of heat infested Mandalay's April. Hotel menu is medium priced, so I went to the nearest Myanmar restaurant about 300 metres down main road 26th street for 2 dinners at down to earth unbelievable price. I also had local snacks of sugar cane juice and fish skin at US 40 cents and young coconut water and fresh do a 75 cents at local street hawkers. So do not believe that it is too far from everything!

Very descent hotel to stay, Restaurant sells good food too!”
My recommendation would be to give the interior a bit of refreshing. Also shower could be a little hotter, but this is very common in Myanmar. Therefore, one of the better hotels to stay if you like a quiet time in busy Mandalay.

One of the best hotels in Myanmar”
After a few weeks on the road and many bad hotel rooms, I can finally say that ALBMT is one of the best hotels in Myanmar. The owner and staff were down to earth, honest, helpful and accommodating. It exceeded our expectations. Food was great and I can't seem to forget its Mandalay Twilight cocktail and the vegetable tempura which they named Railway Bazaar. We had a great stay so much so that we extended another night and told our guide to book a room in the same hotel.

Recommended Tavern in Mandalay”
The hotel is located far from central of Mandalay and touristic zone. It's very calm and quiet. Our room were small but comfortable and clean with fresh linens. Hot water for showering was also good. The staff were on time, friendly, helpful and courteous with proficiency of English. We were served individually American breakfast with selection of eggs, sausages, sweetened bread, cheese, butter, jam and fresh mixed fruit juice. Lastly, the improvement of WiFi should be pay more attention.

Great Staff”
The staff at this hotel are fantastic. Always willing to help. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city, but you can ride one of their bikes into town for a minimal fee. It's a nice place overall, although the food is REALLY pricey for Mandalay.

Great Hotel, Great Staff!”
Stayed at hotel twice -- enroute to Bagan and back again. Very nice hotel with very helpful and accommodating staff. And we enjoyed dinner at the hotel each night even though we could have eaten elsewhere in Mandalay. That says a lot! Mr Min Aung, thank you and your staff for a wonderful stay! Cheasuba!

Far from downtown. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant”
Our bus reached Mandalay early and hotel staff allowed us to check in at 3.30am. Location is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 to 20 min drive from town. Prepare to pay between 10000-12000 kyats for taxi from town to hotel, hence recommend to hire a full day driver for tourists. We have contacted hotel via email for booking of bus tickets but reseveration was not done until the day we arrived. In the end, the bus timing we wanted was fully booked. To avoid such case, do reconfirm the reservation with hotel.

Excellent, personal hotel”
Highest recommendations. I come to Mandalay every year and I will from now on only stay here. Don’t let the location scare you as it is only a plus - quiet during night time. Taxi service is very affordable. Staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food”
The guesthouse is located a little outside of the city and what makes is a little more difficult to explore on your own. We've met a guy who drove us around for the whole day for just 20000Ks. Myanmar is not the cheapest country to go in asia but the people really enjoy to have tourists around them. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Most speak good english and do what they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Myanmar is full of nice people and it is really easy to have a good vonversation with the locals. Mandaly was our starting point for our trip through myanmar and the guesthouse is a great start to learn about the burmese people and culture.

Great service! Nice & helpful people!”
A lovely place a bit outside of the city centre, but yet good to reach and find, especially with the bike. The dinner was really good and the restaurant area nice & cosy. Only for breakfast there is still some room for improvement, especially for the breakfast box prepared before the boat trip.

A Haven of a Tavern”
A lovely refreshing place a bit out of town which meant it was quiet. Lovely hot showers. My travel companion got sick and stayed in one day and they checked on her and brought her green tea. Very pleasant. Will recommend to friends.

nice place, room and staff”
great place at a location far out town..the location is easy by taxi but not nice to walk. taxis could be called and a good motorbike for 15000 all day to go to sagain and amarapura. the internet wasnt that good but staff helped out right away.the food was a bit of a disapointment compared to other places. staff speaks English really really well! the girl in the morning is supernice and knowledgeable. she got us a driver who we used for private taxi to pyin oo lwin too for just 40usd. he stopped at few places to show us and bought tea and a great talk in the car 2 hours. I really liked the rooms and bathroom and all was really clean. will come again.

Little out of the way”
Need to note that this place is a little further than the other hotels in the city, if you head out at night you have to travel through a relatively dark stretch before you reach the hotel. Our driver got lost finding the place so best if you had a map of it before u hop on a taxi/tuktuk. Best way to remember is to head straight on 30th all the way to the end and left when u hit the other resort close to us and you'll find it. Rooms were comfy, toilets clean, but they practice this weird thing in Myanmar where they don't have shower skirtings for the bottom so when you shower you kind of wet the ENTIRE bathroom floor, although there was a curtain.
