Great stay for young travelers!”
My boyfriend (25 yrs old) & myself (22 yrs old) had a great time at A Place to Remember in El Nido. When booking... keep in mind you're traveling to a 3rd world country so you're going to have to lower your standards here if you don't want to pay $100+ a night. This is why I think it's a great place for backpackers & young people. The hostel staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and you can't beat the view up top! They are doing construction so it can be noisy sometimes but you're not going to be in the hostel at all because the island is so beautiful. Again... it's El Nido and the power goes out at least 4 times a day so keep that in mind! Overall.. the sheets were clean everything was great & we'd stay there again! Loved Palawan so much

Availed of TourA with them and paid for environment fee (2 adults + 1 child). They said that child was half the price. That night we found a nearby shop offering TourC that charges only for adults meaning our daughter was free of charge. We needed to provide the receipt for the environment fee so we dont have to pay again when we take the TourC. I asked for the receipt from our frontdesk and was promised that they hand it to us the next morning. The next day, they kept us waiting for the physical receipt and kept on giving us the runaround. They gave us 2 receipt numbers. I presented this to the other shop and they said we were supposed to get individual receipt numbers. Our frontdesk meanwhile insisted that they combined mother and daughter in 1 of the 2 receipts. The other shop said this was not possible. We got to board the tour finally and we said to settle the issue when we get back. Upon returning from the tour, we had learned that our frontdesk did not produce the needed receipt. So we paid for the child's environment fee once again and demanded the fee to be returned by the frontdesk. They did return the P100 to us. This incident made us to believe that they were intent on making a few bucks to possibly re-use someone else's receipt for my daughter's name. I also learned that TourA was free for kids in the other shop we went to.

satisfactory but not sure if it's best”
we were on honeymoon sa el Nido and stayed here from April 28 to May 3. the room they gave us was room 4, on ground floor, a little bit smelly, no windows, but it was OK for us because most of daytime we were out for island hopping or touring by motorcycle. not much amenities, there were soap and shampoo, no toothbrush or toothpaste but we brought our own of such things. no driyer for hair, safety box was not working, water is a bit salty, water pressure was good enough but don't expect hot water. there was NO brownout during our stay, i'm not sure if there was really no brownout or they have generator. TV and aircon was fine. we did laundry a few by ourselves but there was no place to hang clothes, just one hanger we were confused where to hang even wet towels after shower. laundry service is available, 70php for 1kg. food was fine. they have good wifi on 3rd floor, not in room. the place where this hotel is at the end of street, so you have to walk a little to eat or buy things but i think it is nice because it is away from noisy bars. the art cafe is within a few walks, they accept credit card. we chose this hotel because we wanted privacy, we did not want a place for backpackers and i think it was nice choice.

Terrible”
We paid for a room with a view of the bay, it was a view of a tin roof. When we Checked in we knew something was wrong by the expressions on their face and the cleaner ran up the stairs with 2 bottles of spray. The toilet or pipe was leaking ursine in the Bathroom; the floor was covered and the smell was repulsive, especially in the heat! We reported it to which they just mopped it and covered back with a rug again. We spent the whole trip waking on a urine soaked floor to use the bathroom. It was horrible. Not worth the money at all. It was also a construction site so to get the breakfast you had to walk to the 5th floor on newly built stairs without railings and wires everywhere. Would strongly not reccomemd this place! They only got one stars as this won't let me chose ZERO

Wait till renovations are over”
It was definitely a place to remember. We arrived at midnight the day before our booking. Because there wasn't a phone number available, we decided to show up and hope for the best. We arrived and the lights were off and no one was around. Luckily we found another hotel next door and explained our situation. They kindly called someone and told us they would be there in minutes. It seems we woke them up in the middle of the night. The attendant was very very helpful even if she just woke up. She was extremely accommodating and kind to us. We are very grateful! I listed the pros and cons because there are many things I love about his place but because they were still renovating, we had some issues as well. Pros: - Amazing customer service. It felt like they were welcoming us into their home. It had a very friendly and homey atmosphere that was refreshing to your regular "too friendly customer service" hotels. - Breakfast was delicious. Loved that there was enough food and with fruit. - Beautiful views from their restaurant/bar - adequate space in the unit. - INCREDIBLE Location. Everything is just outside. Tours are literally a few steps from the door. The beach is right there. Loved the location! I would stay again for this reason. - they book tours and the return van. Cons: - Renovations were still going on and cause us a few issues: - huge spider crawled out of nowhere - stinky water, so we had to buy filtered water to brush our teeth. They do provide plenty of water also. - the island seems to have a lot of "brown outs" and our room was right next to their generator. Wasn't a problem for us. Despite all these cons, I'd love to book again but, I would make sure renovations where completed!

Great Location but no blanket”
Not sure if this is a thing going on in El Nido and Coron but there is generally no blankets available in 3 stars hotel. Just a piece of bedsheet which isn't helpful at all. Location of this hotel is very good, 2 buildings away from art cafe, 1min walk to port departing to coron. No wifi or signal in room but generally the case in most hotels. So i normally opted for using wifi in art cafe. Breakfast took a while to come (15-20mins) although we seems to be the only people waiting for food. No roomkeeping - no fresh towels but given upon request. I would recommend this hotel if location is your only concern.
