Good location, near the port and restaurants ”
Pros- there is free breakfast, location is near to everything. no person directly in charge of the reception area. We had a small problem with the room when we arrived because our room supposedly is still occupied. But the manang there find a way to remedy the situation. She gave us a different room, with a perfect view of the limestone cliff. 😊 Overall, our stay was great. Should've stayed longer.
Nice place by the pier. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. Very nice family owning the place. We had A/C problem the first night and they quickly offer a different room. Nice see view from to roof top.
Enjoyed our stay”
The staff are so accomodating ang friendly. The place is so near to shops, dining, bars and beach especially if you are having tours its just in front of u. So affordable we love also the breakfast and the terrace where we ate because the view is amazing. I wanna live in El Nido gandaaaaa
We payed the Hotel online during the booking. When we arrived there the reception was a mess construction machines everywhere, no staff and a sign which said: "no entry" We waited almost an hour but still nobody there. After we cancelled the booking and tried to get back our money, because we searched for a second hotel and booked a room there, we only got the answer that we have to pay the night because the hotel waited for us. Definately a place to remember, but not in a good way!!! Thats not the way you treat your customers. If there is construction work in the ground level you have to tell it the customer, because when you book a hotel online which says reception is 24 available and there is no reception you shpuld not wonder if people think the hotel is closed
Good value great location”
Highly recommended ideal for the trips restaurants and shops
Great location good bed. No wifi in the rooms.
Highly recommended place to stay. ”
The roof top restaurant was the best among all the facilities... great views while eating delicious foods cooked by the chef of the resto itself...great place to rest after the tiring tour activities... all in all truly a place to remember even though the water they are using smells not good but understandable, and expected weak wifi connections hello here in manila we have weak connection how much more at the provice... and lastly the privacy of the place are great especially when you are at the top...
a very recommendable place to stay...”
very accommodated staffs. truly a place to remember. best for privacy like the roof top restaurant you can enjoy the veiw while eating at the top... over looking the seaside store, resto and others and the ocean view are great as well as the rock mountains...
Really a place to remember”
We had a pleasant stay. Thank u for the healthy and delicious food and little conversations Chef Lito and the accommodating staffs. A little improvement on your bathroom tho. But we love your massage chair and your leg massage machine.
I wasn't able to come in this hotel because I had emergency just the same day before my flight to elnido so I had to cancel my trip. But am reviewing as per the others who spoke about this place as it's close to the city. And I was planning to go for diving which is so close to this hotel. For people who looks for hotels not resort, this place will be one of hotels u need to keep in mind. But make sure you will go other wise u won't get your refund on cancelation.
Hotel close to beach ”
Rooms on lower level a bit noisy with walking traffic. Best to get room in second level. Power off from 6 am to 2 pm a little inconvenience but no surprise. Close to beach and port so getting on boat was a short walk. Nice large bed and comfortable.
Best place to stay in El Nido”
Its my second time in El Nido, and staying at this hotel is an experience. Centrally located within the port area, this hotel provides easy access to those who plans island hopping which is mainly the number 1 "to do" things in El Nido. The whole town shuts their electricity source from 6am to 2pm but this hotel provides power generator making it a more pleasurable stay. They also filter deep-well water which is very important. Other hotel doesn't filter their source of water. We arrived at the hotel midnight and the staffs were widely awake to accomodate us. The owner, who's a doctor helped us get the best rates for island tour. He even gave us ideas on best restos to eat. I definitely recommend this hotel and will surely comeback in our future trips.
Amazing view of the port from roof too restaurant”
Wow! This place is recommended for the following value you can get; 1. Only one minute walk to the port embarkment and dis-embarkment if you want to depart or arrive on a vessel. Also same distance to tour boats port. 2. Roof top restaurant has got the most impressive 270 degree view of the port and you can indulge yourself with complementary tea, coffee and water and enjoy the view while surfing the web. 3. The owner is Doctor Seazar, a GP, and visited my wife when she was feeling sick, free of charge, and with his prescription my wife rehealed fast and we continued with the rest of our trip. 4. Friendly staff who are always there for you and will help you out, especially "Pearl", the admin desk. 5. With 10 steps distance from any shop you might require including convenience, fruit, restaurant, bar, tour agency, massage parlor etc. Definitely will suggest this place for budget travelers.
I do not recommend this place. ”
We booked a family room supposed to fit 5 people. We were a group of 7 and planned to get an extra bed once when we get to the hotel. But as we get there we were restricted by the owner because the room can only accomodate 2adults and 2kids they said. Wait whaat? This is the only hotel i have been to that is soo much particular with the number of guest. We tried to negotiate but we were asked to pay per head per night which was tooo expensive btw. We ended up getting another room instead. Another thing, breakfast is a first eater first served basis. Whoever eats earliest get as many serving but once the food are all consumed, they do not refill. Room is clean tho and its soo nice of a sea view.
Dear valued guest, we are sorry for the inconvenience that our property caused you. However when you booked your bookings through the portal of the online travel agency there was an option where asking a number of persons that will be occupying a room. Based on the confirmed reservation that we received you only indicated 2 persons that will be staying in the room, be reminded that our room rate depends on the number of occupancy. Likewise, El Nido is a bit expensive town, we brought our crops, products and paid our employees much higher as compare to nearby town and in other tourist destination in the country. We believed that the room rate we offered to you was reasonable and fare enough. Thank you, Jane/Reservation officer
Not too bad”
the staff is very nice and the hotel is clean with comfortable beds. There is no wifi in the rooms, and it blocks cell reception just being in the rooms. all in all not that bad of a place, might return.
So bad so bad”
To start with We get a room with molds on the first floor with out windows. The second day we ask to change the room off course and guess what we get a room with BED BUGS so disgusting. The never where sorry the even put a nother guest into the room the next day. And the even didn’t clean the rooms. So Bad So Bad , A Place so Bad
Disgusting place to stay. They have constructed a room at the hall and that one was the one we got. No ventilation and no natural light. They agreed to only charge the first night and reimburse the rest. However horrible experience.
El Nido is not safe , that all houses get electricity all the time !!!”
Nearly all houses bought an own generator, this hotel said, that their generator (This ap. stood in front of the hotel and was about 60 years old , OK, the ap. was fresh painted, but I doubt about, that this old ap. could be ever repaired, because too old ! But management said, that the old ap. brook down two days before ! And I doubt very much, that this ap. worked last year, perhaps for the last several years ! 2 days no (!!!) electricity for more than 12 hours, 3. day hotel made controllation of Aircondition, another 6 hours no airccondition ! I booked a Luxory-Room wit TV, Fridge, Aircondition and Toilet + Shower ! Hotel reduced the water for Handwash, so You could count the drops if You open it full ! I can not recommend this hotel, because there are more disadvantages !
Great stay for young travelers!”
My boyfriend (25 yrs old) & myself (22 yrs old) had a great time at A Place to Remember in El Nido. When booking... keep in mind you're traveling to a 3rd world country so you're going to have to lower your standards here if you don't want to pay $100+ a night. This is why I think it's a great place for backpackers & young people. The hostel staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and you can't beat the view up top! They are doing construction so it can be noisy sometimes but you're not going to be in the hostel at all because the island is so beautiful. Again... it's El Nido and the power goes out at least 4 times a day so keep that in mind! Overall.. the sheets were clean everything was great & we'd stay there again! Loved Palawan so much
Wait till renovations are over”
It was definitely a place to remember. We arrived at midnight the day before our booking. Because there wasn't a phone number available, we decided to show up and hope for the best. We arrived and the lights were off and no one was around. Luckily we found another hotel next door and explained our situation. They kindly called someone and told us they would be there in minutes. It seems we woke them up in the middle of the night. The attendant was very very helpful even if she just woke up. She was extremely accommodating and kind to us. We are very grateful! I listed the pros and cons because there are many things I love about his place but because they were still renovating, we had some issues as well. Pros: - Amazing customer service. It felt like they were welcoming us into their home. It had a very friendly and homey atmosphere that was refreshing to your regular "too friendly customer service" hotels. - Breakfast was delicious. Loved that there was enough food and with fruit. - Beautiful views from their restaurant/bar - adequate space in the unit. - INCREDIBLE Location. Everything is just outside. Tours are literally a few steps from the door. The beach is right there. Loved the location! I would stay again for this reason. - they book tours and the return van. Cons: - Renovations were still going on and cause us a few issues: - huge spider crawled out of nowhere - stinky water, so we had to buy filtered water to brush our teeth. They do provide plenty of water also. - the island seems to have a lot of "brown outs" and our room was right next to their generator. Wasn't a problem for us. Despite all these cons, I'd love to book again but, I would make sure renovations where completed!
