Backpackers was in a great location, very close to waterfront. Safe enough to walk along street at night to restaurants and shops nearby. Stayed in an en-suite double room, was clean and a good size. Only issue was we couldn’t close bathroom window completely. Staff were all amazing, super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return here on my next trip to Cape Town!

Nice place, great staff”

The hostel is nice, my single room was clean and everything was in order. Kitchen, communal space, inside and outside, and showers/toilets were all good. The staff is great, ready to help with all your requests and to answer your questions. The location is not perfect, its a tad away from most of the touristy spots but nothing you cant handle on foot, with a (taxi)bus or uber. Its a bit sketchy at night qnd you are advised to not walk alone at night. When I was there, some construction was going on next door, but that doesnt coincide with a good nights rest unless you only sleep during the day.
