Close to town & night market, but bad for beach
Walk to town
I stayed based on a friend's reference, so I knew going in that it was very basic budget hotel. But i now feel there are better places in Phu Quoc in same price range. The window in room was installed with gaps, and as there was a huge downpour each evening the rain literally poured in the window and across the floor. The night clerk was great to bring towels and help mop up, but it says something about the property to have windows that do not fit and wet rooms every time it rains hard. A plus is close to town. Negative if zero beach access and all neighboring properties will not allow you to simple walk through. So if you stay here, plan to hire taxi and go to other beaches around the island. Or pick a property with beach access or pool.

Probably find another place that has hot water
Location, air conditioning worked, tv had cable
Check in and out was fine however they have a big notice on their countertop that they accept credit cards and they did not for payment. They exchanged dollars at 21000 to one when the current rate is 2200shower was cold the entire stay. There was no light above the bathroom sink and instead they had loose wires covered. The bed was very hard for sleeping. I went down for breakfast at 7am and no one worked the front desk until 7:40am. They had no eggs for breakfast and had to drive to the store to get eggs. They took one and a half days to get me my laundry and then it was wet when I received it. I would recommend finding another place.

Good value for the money
Location, breakfast, big rooms
The stay was great. The hotel definitely needs some updating. The bathroom leaves a little to be desired. However, for this price you really can't beat it, especially on phu quoc. The location is great, you can always get a cab. Some of the hotel staff speaks English but most don't. Google translate is your friend. The breakfast is good and they give you 2 coffees if you ask. It's not on the beach, but I would just walk thru the hotel 2 doors down (blue hotel) and use their beach chairs. You can also go to Bai Sao, which is much nicer and just rent a cab for the day.
