Beautiful restoration ”
Lovely place, beautifully restored with details of its history everywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice with a few secluded spots to sit and enjoy some local cheeses and wine in peace.

Beautiful B & B in a historical landmark”
A gorgeous place to stay with exceptional hosts. Very clean with wonderful friendly staff. Highly recommend this place for a couples getaway. A perfect venue for a wedding or function. The food was of a high standard and the furnishings are lovely. We attended a murder mystery night with dinner included and had a very enjoyable evening.
Glad you enjoyed your murder mystery night - guess you survived the evening and not killed :). Thank you for staying
For a special occasion.”
The abbey is a special place. Historical and traditional, it is beautifully appointed with period interiors which differ for every room, but all have that X factor. We stayed in the Verandah room with a four poster bed. The private bathroom was down the hall (not an ensuite) but not a huge problem. The various common rooms and cosy in traditional style. Cooked Breakfast (no choice) was delicious and hosts Sonia And Mark were delightful. Will stay again.
Thank you for taking the time to make a review and for your score. Glad you enjoyed the Abbey experience and hope to see you back another time. Regards Mark, Sonia & Bazil the Abbey cat.
A beautiful romantic overnighter!!”
Well done to the owners on all your hard work and detail on a truly beautifull old Abbey!
Hi Kaye, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review the Abbey. Hope you had a relaxing time and enjoyed the 'Abbey experience' From Mark, Sonia & Bazil the Abbey cat
Don't go there!”
Stayed there for a wedding. Hostess was like a nazi, not even allowing another family member visit our rooms prior to the ceremony. Found mouse poo in our bed, dirty coffee cups just in our rooms. Dusty, mouldy old place, supposedly full of antiques. Looked more like a heap of vinnies stuff bought and put in glass cabinets. Cats walking the hallways. Hated the place.
Got all your social media messages Tracey, not going to reply to all the social media places you have placed this and other comments. Shame you had to be so spiteful to team members because you couldnt take your friends at the wedding up to the accommodation rooms, the team members were just doing there job in looking after all the guests safety - you upset them by calling them nazis when you were here. Also, from the experience we had with you I am pretty sure if you had have found mouse poo on your bed you would have let everyone know in no uncertain terms when you were here.
Christmas in July ”
