Totally unexpected”
My hubby and I where blown away. Amazing job done by the Host and Hostess. Clean, comfortable and quiet. And “Greeting Service” Max was so sleepy from his afternoon nap, only a cat be aloof 😉 All pricing was upfront as we shown around, and being a quiet weekend we where offered an upgrade in rooms, but politely declined. The bathroom although external, was really clean and modern. Thank you for having us!

From the moment I arrived I felt like I had walked into another era. This Grand old lady is just spectacular. The room was so warm and inviting. The owners were so hospitable and I slept the best I had slept in months. The king bed was like a cloud. I will be back!

This is a hotel converted from a monastery. The rooms are very clean. The classical music and the classical decoration make people feel the peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast is actually good and delicious. The staff are very friendly.

Interesting history but we were somewhat disappointed with rooms actual sizes and no extra facilities. Not much ambience inside building. Bikes weren't available. Lovely garden with pleasant quiet areas. Staff were great and all areas very clean.

Although the place was amazing they tenderd to screw every last cent out of you The gardens were shabby the tennis court a no go zone and the chickens unloved Be careful about up gradës I like the place but left dismayed and felt ripped off

It is a very beautiful building but unfortunately when you entrance, it’s through the back door. The staff did show me around but did not give me any entrance codes, had to be asked for them. And had to carry everything up the stairs myself, while staff watched. Bathroom is not in room had to walk across hallway, they do supply everything for you. When having breakfast you have to sit at the correct table to match your room unfortunately I was in the middle of the room and felt very obvious would’ve preferred to sit somewhere else. Rooms 1-5 do have detached private bathrooms whilst 6-11 have ensuites so if you do stay again and prefer an ensuite please check the room number to what you are booking to ensure you get an ensuite. Beautiful B & B in a historical landmark”
A gorgeous place to stay with exceptional hosts. Very clean with wonderful friendly staff. Highly recommend this place for a couples getaway. A perfect venue for a wedding or function. The food was of a high standard and the furnishings are lovely. We attended a murder mystery night with dinner included and had a very enjoyable evening.

The abbey is a special place. Historical and traditional, it is beautifully appointed with period interiors which differ for every room, but all have that X factor. We stayed in the Verandah room with a four poster bed. The private bathroom was down the hall (not an ensuite) but not a huge problem. The various common rooms and cosy in traditional style. Cooked Breakfast (no choice) was delicious and hosts Sonia And Mark were delightful. Will stay again.

Stayed there for a wedding. Hostess was like a nazi, not even allowing another family member visit our rooms prior to the ceremony. Found mouse poo in our bed, dirty coffee cups just in our rooms. Dusty, mouldy old place, supposedly full of antiques. Looked more like a heap of vinnies stuff bought and put in glass cabinets. Cats walking the hallways. Hated the place.

Got all your social media messages Tracey, not going to reply to all the social media places you have placed this and other comments. Shame you had to be so spiteful to team members because you couldnt take your friends at the wedding up to the accommodation rooms, the team members were just doing there job in looking after all the guests safety - you upset them by calling them nazis when you were here. Also, from the experience we had with you I am pretty sure if you had have found mouse poo on your bed you would have let everyone know in no uncertain terms when you were here.
