At first when I chose Abby, I was skeptical, given the name and the place it was in, Vang Vieng. But when I got to Vang Vieng and saw the area, I realized that Abby is really a boutique guesthouse in that area of hostels teeming with backpackers. Abby is well situated, just a slight peripheral location to the hustle and bustle of tourist tracks in the day, but quiet when at night. Room and toilet were clean, though bed was quite thin and we could feel the springs. It was a slight problem for us as we were mainly rock climbing in the daytime and couldnt get a proper rest on the bed. Otherwise, everything else was above expectations!

best of Vang Viang”
Abby guesthouse wasnt our first choice but from now on it will be our only choice at Vang Viang. Abby gave the feeling of staying at friend's house. The location is excellent because it's not too far from town centre but on the spot that we can be peaceful and relax. The rooms and the toilets were perfectly clean. The bed was super comfortable. The most impressive is the hospitality of the owner who has become our friend. He is nice, friendly and very helpful. This make Abby more than just a guest house but more like a friend's house. Thank you!

Beyond Guesthouse ”
Great, I love staying at Abby Boutique Guesthouse. The Staff very good take care our group. In the morning you can see beautiful view from 3rd floor No.7 room. Wifi is very good. Slight disadvantage, Water heater is not working well enough. In the future I will come back this Guesthouse.

The best Guesthouse”
I had a lovely stay at the Abby Boutique Guesthouse. I found this place charming clean and peaceful. Assisted us with all our needs and very helpful and friendly. The food is tasty and you can enjoy your meal. The property is away from the noise of the bars but everything is very quick to walk to! I would stay here again! I loved it!

As much as we didn't like so much Van Vieng as a town and I got stomach sick for few days, Abby took care of me preparing home made breakfast and sorting out our pick up for Vientiane. I will always remember this stay with a warm heart because of her. Totally worth it!

Best guesthouse in Vang Vieng”
Friends and I enjoyed our stay at Abby a fortnight ago. Food was great and the staff, very friendly & helpful. The guesthouse is well furnished, comfortable and very clean. Located on a quiet corner, it is not far from the town centre and there are a few good restaurants in the vicinity.

Abby Boutique is a small guest room. Basic rooms but clean, can be noisy at nigh time but hey, it's Van Vieng! Breakfast is ok nd again, the rates are quite good.

Unfortunate stay”
We stayed at Abby Boutique for 3 nights, the staff (One Person) didn't speak English so well and was little or no help at all with any information about thing and sights to do. Room was OK except the TV reception beyond watching it and they have to pump water up to top floors so it ran out regularly, the worst was when we were leaving we didn't have water to shower with, before we met a long bus journey, there are plenty of other places to try around Vang Vieng. Mum, Dad and Daughter backpackers Philippines.

An enjoyable stay in Vang Vieng.”
The guesthouse was located in a somewhat central area. Nice restaurants, street food stalls, convenient stores as well as money exchange shops were all located nearby. The morning market was right in front of the guesthouse. Close to a small wooden bridge to the other side of the river. Lovely mountain view from the room. Super friendly and helpful staff. Wi-Fi signal was sufficient for some surfing / e-mails. Very simple breakfast but it was enough to get you going. However, the mattresses were too soft for our preference. Air-con was not working properly. The walls were quite thin that we could hear random voices talking in the room and hallway. Incorrect location on the map but it was in the same area anyway.

The Abby Boutique have had seen better days! Nowadays it is a shadow of a well treatened guesthouse, the rooms are more or les okay if you like the very hard used look. The Stuff offer us first a small room whithout fridgerator and damaged double bed with cut's in the blanked. We didn't agree with this first offer and asked "...why is the different such big between the pic's in the internet(agoda) and the reality?" Than he show us different room's! We take the 3.th room in the Top Floor this have had a great view on the Mountains and a fridge! It could be easy'er...

The guesthouse itself is quite good, the rooms are clean, location is good, not to noisy at night. But the breakfast is very modest, you only have a choice between fried egg or omlette served with sausage and toast. The staff's English is not good, so all the information about the buses and attractions is better to get from other places. But they still try to be helpfull, our room was too cold and they changed to another one with a better view without charging additional money.

Mixed feelings”
We first got the only room on the ground floor which was more like a storeroom. We had a street-sign and some old electronics in our room. The window was plastered with some dark foil letting no light in. We couldn't open the window. Some lights didn't work, so it was very dark. And the room was very humid. After requesting another room we were told they are all booked out. When we told the staff that we will leave for another hotel they gave us a room on the second floor, which was much better.

Really impressive”
Our trip was planed as backpacker. We just need a good room and located in a place that is nearby and easy to get to. We got more than that. Hotel sraff is very nice and helpful. We are really appliciate his service.

Very basic, staff were hardly around”
This was a very very basic guesthouse. It did the trick for us to rest and sleep but apart from that everything was so-so. Breakfast was very very simple, nothing great. The staff were always missing. They had a no shoes/sandals rule from the very front of the reception onwards, but the floor wasn't as clean as it should be, so I personally didn't like treading barefooted around the area. And one funny thing they did was cut off water supply during the afternoon, I guess they assumed their guests would not return until late evening. One day, my husband and I came back to the room after kayaking at about 12 noon, and wanted to use the bathroom, only to realise they had cut off water supply. We had to go down to reception and ask them to switch it back on. They did it again the next day.

Very nice place. Staff good services. Good location. You can walk to Xong river and Smile beach. Nice view on the 3rd floor room no.09. Big and very clean bathroom.
