Too noisy , can hear next room plumbing - flashing toilet and turning on water taps”
Our room is on the 7th floor , above is the gym room .We can hear the track mill machine running day 7am and nite 9pm ..No coffee machine & water kettle in room .Bed mattress is not comfy , I can feel the spring of the mattress when sleeping
Great value, close to museums”
Very clean, modern hotel, with rooms larger than most we have stayed at. Staff extremely welcoming and provided directions to us in English.
Good location Good Decoration”
It is a good location hotel
Nice 4 star hotel near Atocha train station”
Nice hotel close by Atocha train station, which is an easy 20 min metro ride on the C-1 line from Barajas airport. Good for short stays if you are arriving/departing Madrid by train from Atocha. There is another AC hotel nearby (in the Atocha area) so if you're taking a taxi back to the hotel be mindful that the taxi driver doesn't drive you to the wrong hotel. On the room, it was big with lots of storage space (perhaps a little too much), shower was good, but wished there were some TV channels in English. Staff was always polite and helpful with directions and train timings etc.
nice cozy hotel”
Not bad for our first stay. May stay there again next time.
Hotel has good location. Near Atocha station and subway station, near museums. Has supermarket and convenience store nearby. Small shops and restaurants nearby. Staff was nice, helpful. Free wifi in room if you become marriott member. Free breakfast. Small elevators though, can only fit 4 persons at a time. And even though we were on the 7th floor, we can still hear noise from the streets, cars and people coming in and out of the rooms. Other than that, our stay was fine.
Nice hotel in a good location with great breakfast”
Stay was pleasant with the hotel in a good location with cleanliness The breakfast was also very nice The only negative point was there was no free internet and there were limited toileteries compared to other marriott hotels
a disappointing stay”
I don't enjoy my stay here. The staff speak good English, but this is very very basic for a Marriott. Might be it is only a second tier Marriott.
It's very close to the train station!!”
Good. The room is clean and spacious. Most importantly, it is very close to the atocha train station which is convenient for me who need to take the late train.
Close to atocha train station”
Hotel with a fairly good location near Atocha stn”
The hotel was in a fairly good location near the Reina Sofia museum and Atocha station. This makes it convenient to go on day trips. The decor of hotel and rooms are typical of business hotels - clean but boring. Found the room slightly small but they have a fairly large bathroom.
Ok. The hotel has no noise proved wall so I could hear the people next door quite clearly...
Little far from Old Town but Service is good”
It was close to Espana Square but far from Old Town, need a walk of 30 mins or 15 mins Tram Ride. The area is quite but consider all night life in old town, it would be tiring to go back to hotel far from old town. The double bed is just combination of two single bed, will fell apart during the night but the breakfast is quite good.
Great Service and Location”
Staff was very professional and helpful. Hotel location is perfect and the rooms were nicely decorated.
Good Hotel, Nice Service”
I would like to appreciate the friendly Guest services desk.
Good Location, No Wifi nor network”
The breakfast is excellent / Service-desk is not as Marriott standard / No wifi nor network plug inside the room / Double room means setting two single beds side-by-side / During shower, experiencing in average 5-10 seconds of cool water for every minute
Small rooms and the location a bit worrysome”
easy to find halal restaurants but the location although not far from the convenience of a town, but quite dark in the evening
nice location ”
this hotel is very nice and clean and the staff was nice
So yummy breakfast !”
great breakfast !!!! so yummy, ham ,cheese, muffins! Everymorning I woke up thinking what I would have for breakfast. It would be even nicer if they had green salad. The location is great , as in 5mins walk to Atocha. there's burger king at the corner, and some nice bar around. It is in safe environment that you could come back late at night after drinking.
Great, clean hotel”
My wife and I stayed at Carlton Madrid for 1 night and were surprised hi tidy and clean the hotel is given its proximity to the train station. Great location and very helpful staff!
