Fantastic Hotel”
We were booked in for 4 nights but only stayed one night as had to fly home the next day. The hotel only charged us for the one night even though they were entitled to charge us for 4. Room was lovely and clean with a very comfotable bed and the breakfast was huge with lots to choose from. Lovely pool and dining area with great staff. Will definately go back there again.

A very pleasant stay”
I found Acacia Hotel very good and excellent value for money. It is conveniently situated close to many attractions and activities in Hoi An. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff (Phường and Lần) were extremely efficient and helpful and satisfied all our needs in terms on information and help we needed. The added bonus of free bicycle rental was great. I will certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Nice & friendly staff”
Nice staff, good service. However the pool was not clean in the morning (I saw dirty froth on water). And one of 2 windows in my room has the view overlooking 2 graves. It was scary at night. The staff offered us other room but none of them has the acreage over 40m2 & riverside view. We booked & paid a higher-price room for these standards.

Nice place with Awesome breakfast”
everywhere in hoi an is more expensive than most places in vietnam so this place is a great deal for the price. we booked for 2 people and it cost a total of $30. we had a huge room with 2 double beds, balcony on the 4th floor, good view towards the river and the old city.! bathtub couldn't be filled as hot water ran out but the shower was good. it's in a great location just across the bridge from the old city so within easy walking distance of the restaurants, bars and clubs. breakfast was an amazing spread of viet and western food buffet style and served in the restaurant on the top (5th) floor so very nice space to eat. the pool is in the middle of the hotel and is nice too. we didn't end up using it as it was raining the whole time but we did spend a few hours laying on th deck chairs reading while we waited for our bus. this was several hours after we checked out and the hotel was happy to look after our bags too while we spent the day in the old city. we did a tour of cham tours booked through the hotel which was good too. only downfall was one of the main receptionists who was rather pushy about booking things 'now' but the other girls were lovely. and when i ordered food at the pool bar the 2 things i ordered (both chefs hoi an specialities) were unavailable! also we had a very late night out and had a freak out when the whole front was gated shut and looked as tho we were locked out. we had a friendly man notice and showed us how to get in and i had to wake security to get my key......but we had this experience in many other towns and hotels too so it's not unusual. the next night security was still awake and the gate was open so i assume this is usually how it's supposed to be. overall a great place to stay and i would quite happily stay there again. have already recommended it to several other travellers since.

Close to the centre, quiet and friendly ”
We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is on Nam island just across from the market - so really convenient but also relatively quiet. The area had a very nice village feel - great prices for bikes and laundry with the woman over the road for example. Lovely to cycle around Nam island and also we recommend that you get the ferry (from near the market) to Kim island (10 minutes, 1$) for a great cycle ride. Just ask for Hoi An if you get lost and people will point you towards the ferry. The hotel breakfast was very good, served on the top floor with a great view; the staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was a great place to go in the heat of the day when it was also shaded from the sun.We like ti so much we are going back. Caroline

A great place to stay”
We came back here for the second time, having loved it before. The location on Cam Island is great - a pleasant village atmosphere but very close to town. There are lovely views from the hotel over the islands and the river estuary - breakfast on the 5th floor is in a super location and the food is very good. Hoi An has loads to offer - great for countryside and for the beach and a humming town with really good crafts. The hotel were really helpful with our 4pm departure. They looked after our luggage so we had a full day and then had a late afternoon swim and they made a room available for us to shower and change for our journey. A great hotel.

The only hotel to stay in Hoi An ”
This was by far the best hotel we have stayed In whist travelling through Vietnam. Staff are super friendly and will help you with your onward journey or arrange tours. The hotel is spotless. Location is 10 mins from the ancient city over the footbridge. Cam Nam is like a tiny village island, not so much of a choice of food around but there is quite a few little places to buy water, get your laundry done and hire bikes. Good breakfast with a wide choice of Western and Asian food (restaurant food is good too) Wifi is excellent. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

This was a real find”
The Van Loi was a real find during our visi to Hoi An. It was a five minute walk over the bridge near the market which made it an easy walk into the old town for dinner and a stroll along the waterfront. TThe bedroom was huge, probably the biggest we've had anywhere in Asia and featured a large four poster bed with mosquito netting (not that it was needed and probaby there more for decoration), TV, fridge and a couple of very large, heavy wooden chairs to the side. Doors opened onto a small balcony which was a pleasant spot to sit and read. The hote's pool is in the centre of the buildings and gets a bit cold on cooler days, but generally was a welcome relief from the heat. The staff were pleasant and helpful and breakfast featured a good selection. Best of all, the price was considerbly less than another hotel we stayed in just down the street during the same visit.

Fabulous”
After considering just about every hotel in Hoi An we settled on the Van Loi and it was GREAT!The beautiful carved furniture in the lobby and bedrooms were special, the towering dragon overlooking the swimming-pool added an exotic feel, and the breakfasts were generous and delicious - a holiday treat on the rooftop terrace with wonderful views.

What a nice hotel!”
This is a lovely hotel, so charming and such wonderful helpful staff. The breakfast is delightful, served on the top floor with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The room is enormous, such a great value. If I ever come back to Hoi An, I will definitely stay again at the Van Loi.

Highly Underrated”
We are two backpackers, and stumbled upon the Van Loi. It is a beautiful hotel with some of the nicest staff. We usually stay at backpacker hostels, but for Hoi An, this is definitely the best spot. The only proper backpacker hostel in town is the Sunflower, which is terribe. Do yourself a favor and stay here instead.

Hoi An Great”
The Van Loi Hotel was perfectly placed with the town only 2 minutes walk and with no cars allowed over the bridge-only motor bikes- it was quiet on the streets. There were 2 Laundries across the road and friendly people in the streets. The food and shopping in Hoi An was a highlight of our trip and would recommend anyone going to Vietnam to spend time there and stay at the VAN LOI Hotel
