The hotel has a great location, just one block away from the beach and next to a large shopping mall. There are also plenty of night markets nearby. The service is also quite good and the accommodation is clean and hygienic. The hotel also has a swimming pool and gym that are free to use. The only downside is that the soundproofing is not very good, as there are many bars in Pattaya and some noise can be heard at night. Overall, it is still very good and I would stay there again if given the chance.

This was my first time staying at Acqua Hotel, but not my first time in Pattaya. I typically book my hotel only about a week out from when I arrive in Pattaya, and I am generally priced out of this hotel as it is either already sold out, or the last available rooms are going for more than what I'm wanting to pay. Having stayed on Soi Honey multiple times (in different properties) and walking by Acqua in the past, I knew exactly where it was located and had heard good things about it. For my 26th trip to Pattaya, I found a good price for this hotel (on Agoda!) and booked their standard room (which I believe is called the superior room). You can watch the video reviews on youtube, and for the most part, the reviews all echo the same sentiments. Acqua is a good, clean hotel with a fantastic location. Technically this hotel is right off Soi Honey adjacent to the Honey Massage (soapy massage) on Soi 10. Walking out of the hotel to the right will take you to Second Road, and to the left will take you to a back entrance to Tree Town (very convenient!). The property is two separate buildings which look identical. I stayed in the "main" building with the check in desk, breakfast restaurant, and rooftop pool. The staff is really nice at this property. I was warmly welcomed and check in was smooth and easy. The hotel does require a 1,000 baht cash deposit, so keep that in mind if you haven't been to an ATM yet (there is one up the street on Second Road and one on Soi Buakhow just outside Tree Town). I was given room 1406 which was on the fourth floor facing the back side of the property (with no real view). I never really care about my hotel view, but if you do care about the view from your room, you'll definitely need to book a room on one of the higher floors (7th floor is the highest). There is an apartment complex directly behind the hotel. It's not quite like the Centara Hotel where you're staring directly into other people's windows, but again, not much of a view (at least from the fourth floor). The room itself is very nice. Modern, clean, but very small. The king sized bed takes up the majority of the floor space. Like all Pattaya hotels, there is a desk and a fridge (that is stocked with items for sale), a closet with hangers and a safe (as well as two bathrobes), a good TV, beside table, and a decent amount of power outlets. There is a small outdoor balcony which I did not utilize (partly because the door to it is blocked by a chair in the room). For starters, I'm not too picky when it comes to hotel room amenities, but this hotel does a really good job of providing them. Each bed has four pillows (which are pretty standard - mattress and pillows) and offers daily maid offer (obviously). The bedside table has two power outlets next to it. The TV is a nice size, and I always bring my Firestick to plug into the TV. There is an outlet directly below the TV so (using an HDMI extension cord) I was able to set it up. The internet was very good for Pattaya hotel standards and very rarely had any interruptions. The desk above the fridge has four drinking glasses (two rocks, two coffee), a kettle, teas & coffees, box of tissues, and wash cloths. The bathroom has two sets of towels, and plenty of toiletry amenities. The tap and shower are plenty strong, and the water temperature gets pretty warm (still not hot hot). While the room is nice (and cozy), my AC worked great. Almost too great. All of the labels on the buttons were worn off so I tried as best as I could to set the AC to the correct temp and setting. I managed to get the temperature fine, but it was always running (instead of turning off when it got to the set temperature). Not a big deal, but the other thing about the room that I noticed was about the bathroom lighting. The shower has an opaque floor to ceiling window which lets in a lot of light when the sun is out. I stayed at this hotel only one night. I arrived at the hotel in the early evening and the place was a little hard to find. Staff was very pleasant. The room was nice and modern but very small. I had a King Size bed and once you enter the room that’s all you see. Very tight walking around the bed. Very small Balcony has a small table and chair. I sat out there for a few minutes and when I went back in I had to move the chair around just to open the door to get back in. Bathroom is very small. Whoever designed the layout in this bathroom needs to go back to designing school. The shower is almost as big as the whole bathroom very little room unless you close the bathroom door. My inroom safe didn’t work and I asked reception to have it fixed for me and they told me they would have someone take a look at it but no one showed up. My sleep. What sleep? I slept a whole 3hrs. I specifically asked for a quiet room and they put me right in front of tree town and the night market. All I heard was music and people partying all night long. Music finally stopped a little after 3:30am. I had to get up at 7am to get breakfast and take off to my next destination. So I was pretty tired and upset when I woke up. Breakfast was included with my hotel package and the food selection was very good. The staff was great especially Kung. She was very attentive and brought me everything I asked for very quickly. Would I stay here again? I probably would since it is a very nice clean modern hotel and the staff are very nice and attentive. But just make sure you stay in building 1 away from the noise and get a bigger room. If you like to party all night and sleep during the day then this hotel is ideal.
Life of the party location”
For context, this was my first time in Pattaya and the only hotel in Pattaya I've been to as of writing this review. Also, I am a heavy sleeper so I can fall asleep almost in any situation. Let us start off with the downside which is that Treetown is 1 block over so it can be noisy until early morning. The location is tucked in on a small street which could be fun or not depending on you. That was all the downsides I could notice even though those listed never bothered me. I really liked this place and will book again if I ever decide to go to Pattaya again. My room was clean and modern. The bathroom was spacious and had good water flow. AC was great whenever I had it on without hearing the noises most hotel ac's make. Extra facilities like the pool and gym were nice. Breakfast had a great selection available. The staff was nice and attentive. Laundry service was quick with a 1-day turnover. Safe was mounted decently. Even in the extended wing, I was quite happy. The balcony was small but still nice to have. I would try for a bigger room next time as when I booked they were all full. The price was great and it felt like I was staying at a more expensive hotel.
