Great Location with comfortable if limited rooms”

Adabco is what is say it is. It not a five star hotel but a very good boutique hotel that offers limited services. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We found the rooms to be good but a bit small and we liked that there is a kitchen on each floor. The location is excellent with a easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the CBD etc. Also there was a bus route along Wakefield Street. The hotel was very accommodating of cyclist while we were there for the TDU. So for cyclist I would recommend it as it is close to several good bike shops, some very cycle friendly restaurants and cycle routes around the city including the Adelaide Hills. There are somethings that could be improved, these being recycling and the TV. Recycling There was not opportunity for recycling of papers, plastics and metals. this could be fixed by having recycling bins in each kitchen area. The kitchens do need some restocking. I know that you must "loose" a lot of stuff but sharp knives and chopping boards were in short supply. TV The TV reception was terrible for some channels and the electronic guide was useless and the picture was cropped so that even with changing the ratio one could not see the whole picture. I am sure that this can be easily fixed.

Beautifully restored and maintained”

The Adabco Boutique Hotel was a home-away-from-home. The room was comfortable and clean, making it a homely place to stay. It is also within walking distance of the main shopping area and yet is very quiet and relaxing. The staff were helpful with any request and were always professional, pleasant and polite. I would recommend this historical hotel for a long-term comfortable stay with the added convenience of being in the heart of Adelaide.

Cosy hotel with nice decor, friendly service ”

Central location, nice decor, friendly staff

we really enjoyed our stay at the adabco boutique hotel. the decor was nice, and enhanced the overall cosiness of the hotel, the cleanliness of the room was fantastic, the staff were helpful and friendly. being centrally located, it was convenient for us to walk to the central market and chinatown. only downside was that there were no limitations on the time each guest could take to use the computer. perhaps the hotel could consider displaying a sign which limits the time each guest could use the computer for, so as to prevent anyone from hogging the computer for a long time and inconveniencing others.

Well appointed hotel in central location”

Central location, kitchen facilities, lovely room with day bed and desk space,

I stayed in Adelaide for a 1 week course and Adabco was the perfect place to stay. It was centrally located and offered the ability to self cater with the access to communal kitchens. The room was much lovelier than I had expected - the bed was very comfortable and the room was well furnished. The only downside was that the continental breakfast provided was very basic and being someone with food allergies I did not really eat it - no soy milk or gluten free options. Overall I throughly enjoyed my stay at Adabco and would recommend it.

Great Location, 24 hour desk, friendly staff”

Beautifully appointed, casual but friendly, typical laid back Australian attitude

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was within easy walking distance of Rundall Mall and downtown Adelaide. We caught a free bus just round the corner to show us Adelaide. I did learn one key point always ask if there is off street parking when booking a city hotel. There isn't at the Adabco which was a big inconvenience. Why can't they do a deal with a local parking station to at least give a cut rate? I will check next time.

Perfect location”

We were very happy with Adabco. The shared kitchen was handy for the night we didn't feel like eating out with IGA conveniently located round the corner. The hotel is a short walk to all the Adelaide attractions and free public transport is close by. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of a boutique and would stay again.

Lovely hotel with excellent service”

A Lovely, clean, well kept boutique hotel with nice paintings. Service was excellent, always provided with a smile. Although not centrally located, all major sites are within a pleasant stroll.

We had a wonderful stay at the Adabco. The boutique hotel is lovely, housed in a heritage building. The rooms are comfortable, clean and there are pantries where guests may dine with their own food. Service was excellent. Hotel is also within walking distance to major tourist sites including Central market, Rundle Mall and North Terrace. Highly recommended.

Great little hotel”

Location is great and rooms are spacious

The Adabco is a great choice to stay in Adelaide. Rooms were spacious and quiet with small fridges, a big desk and clothing storage spots. Staff was friendly and helpful, with good info including restaurant recommendations. The buffet breakfast included with the room price was nice as well. The only complaint was that parking was a bit difficult - only available on the street at night - metered during work hours, so it was necessary to park the car in a garage if we didn't use it during the day to avoid coming back every 2 hours to feed the meter.

Holiday in Adelaide”

Location, friendly staff and breakfast.

We like our stay in Adabco as the hotel is very clean and the kitchen is really clean and convenient for the guest. The receptionist is very friendly and help us to save on taxi fare to the airport. The location is very convenient where we can take free shuttle bus at the nearby bus stop. With a little bit more walk you can get to central market, tram stop and the busy rundle mall. If we come to Adelaide again, sure we will stay here again.

Great Adelaide Hotel!”

Friendly staff, Good sized rooms, Continental Breakfast

We had a great stay here! The location was great, and Wakefield St is pretty quiet. it was an easy walk to the tram at Victoria Sq to go to Rundle Mall and the Adelaide Oval, as well as down to Glenelg. The room was very good as was the continental breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend the Adabco!

This is a lovely boutique hotel located in the CBD. The room was bright and sunny, the bed was comfy and the communal kitchen was great. The hotel is very close to the central market and after gathering up some of the yummy tastes of Adelaide it is fun to be able to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine. Cosy and comfortable hotel.”

Position, affordability, cleanliness, friendly and obliging staff

This hotel is a great alternative for those who dislike the larger less intimate hotels on offer. Centrally located to public transport, the Adelaide Market, Botanic Gardens, Galleries, excellent shopping and restaurants, this hotel particularly suits couples, singles, those on business or groups travelling together. It is very reasonably priced for a city hotel in such a wonderful accessible location.

The best of a good bunch of hotels”

The Restaurant breakfast gave the best possible start to the day

we were made very welcome at this boutique hotel which is conveniently located in the centre of adelaide's business district. whilst the lift had quirks that took some getting used to, all of the guest areas were clean and had good decor. apart from breakfast, we did not eat in the restaurant and were pleased to be offered a continental breakfast tray when we notified the hotel of our early departure. when it was delivered it undoubtedly exceeded our expectations.

Clean, convenient, quiet

We were pleasantly suprised by the Adabco Boutique Hotel. It was convenient to most aspects of the city, good value for money, modern refurb, option to self-cater, inclusive breakfast, professional and friendly staff and quiet! Only drawback was lack of parking. Perhaps look at doing a deal with the Wakefield Medical Clinic carpark for the weekends when they aren't using it.

I come from Adeliade, but every now and again to treat myself i stay in the city at the adabco. Its close to the east end of town with loads of restaurants and nightlife and also to the central markets, which is especially good considering the hotel has a fully equipped kitchen on ever floor. Check out the crystallized skull in the foyer.
