Not so worth it”
The only good thing about this place is there friendly and helpful staff. But other than that it is not worth staying here. Their rates are similar to courtyard by mariott in iloilo city and they are definitely no where near mariott in terms of facilities.
Too expensive for the services they offer. You won't get the value for what you paid for”
Services and staff - it seems that they are still on "soft opening". They are even unsure and not convinced of the price billed by agoda for the booking we made. They are also understaffed. Room service is not available and they are biased in treating their guests. We arrived around 11am and we were told we cannot do early check in and we can follow up at 12pm instead. When we came back to the front office, the guests who just arrived have already a room while we are still waiting for ours to become available. Food - we ordered dinner around 5pm and they were able to serve around 6:30pm - for 2 dishes and all are grilled dishes. Plus, they do not have menu for group orders. Their menu are plated and is good for 1 person only. Its too expensive and not worth with what we paid for
"One great discovery in Iloilo"”
if you're travelling to iloilo, make sure to stay in anhawan beach resort and spa. this resort is probably the best they have in place. rooms and amenties leveled up to elegance and the services they offer are up high to the standards of other well-known resorts in the country. relaxation and peace of mind? definitely can be found here. the room is very spacious so as the bathroom. it is well-cleaned and well-maintained. the staff are very courteous and very attentive to your needs. their accommodating nature adds up to unforgettable experience on your vacation. highly recommended!
Peaceful beach hotel , Great setting too”
Situated a little way out of town this beach resort hotel is a good intimate place to take your girl . Super large swimming pool in quite beachside setting . If you like feathered birds this is definately the place for you ... there is a large avery with Peacocks and parrots too! No night life to speak of this is definately to take your own girl for a few days escape from the outside world . Relax , enjoy !
We got the suite, was suppose to have a telephone to call the front desk - there was no phone in the room, they had a cellphone number on the room key for us to call the front desk which is added expense to us. There was suppose to be a coffee/tea kettle in the room, there was none, I had to walk to the front desk to request for one. The bathroom had a funky smell. The swimming pool was not clean. The breakfast was so-so nothing to rave about but to pay extra P375 for the breakfast in excess of 2 persons was too much and we could not order a la carte as the resort was fully booked and everyone had to take the serviced buffet.
not recommended definitely won't come back”
this is the perfect example of a beautiful abandoned resort. the room is spacious, has comfortable beds but smells old, antique, dust and mold. i had to buy a spray. no water in the room no heater no phone no lights in the pool resort is not well lighted at night food is cold no wifi in rooms given the price?..it is not worth it..
Awesome place to stay!”
My friends and I loved the place and the amenities it has to offer. I love that they offer free meditation classes. What an experience! The staff were friendly and they really helped us with whatever concern we have. We will definitely book this place again when we go back to Iloilo.
Pool needs to be cleaned, some wall parts are slippery. Foods like pizza, pasta and the breakfast are served cold. That means its not delicious as it should be. If you’re purpose is to unwind and totally be at peace, this is a place for u. Just be sure ur someone who can tolerate eating cold food
Smells bed and the air condtion looks old to the point it could not make the whole room comfortable. room was the suite room.
The room i booked was a gift for a newly wed friend. We expected that they will enjoy their stay but unfortunately it was a freaky horror stay. The room was outside the resort, according to the receptionist it was inside the place that they call "subdivision". There were no toiletries available, no telephone considering that it was indicated in you're website that these will be available. Also when we called Adhara,we were told that the place that they stayed at was a villa and the other rooms are still available for booking. Luckily for them they are the only one booked a room in the villa.Imagine their discomfort if there were other people staying in the same villa where they have to share with them the bathroom, the kitchen and the none existing telephone and toiletries.Agoda,it was not stated in your website about this arrangement. Oh! the service according to my friend was AWFUL! The guy who assisted them was such in a hurry to get out of the villa.AWFUL experience for the couple.
what u see is what u get, large family room suite, big beds, calm view quiet place. Unfortunately their aircons do not work. We were led to suite 7 but after an hour of expecting the aircon to work, it didnt! so we were asked to transfer to another suite, still, the yellowish split type a/c does not work! how unfortunate! it is summer and its very hot and the only cool thing would be inside the hotel room but. . . . Plus my sister accidentally broke a small flower vase in the restaurantwhere we ate all the time during our stay, they said it was ok but we were asked to pay 500 pesos when we checked out. it was a very small vase ( a drinking glass was even bigger), we were over charged and we were not even informed that we had to pay for it! but bcoz we demanded a receipt that wld show that it was worth 500 they told us 200 pesos would do! haizt! too few lights thats why its not nice to stay outdoor during night coz there were so many frogs all over the place that u might not see it
checking in was easy, although we were not oriented on things like breakfast and wifi. but the pool was very nice since the water was warm so our baby did not have any tantrums when we dipped in the pool. it was quiet, and peaceful. feela like you are really far away from the city. but there was a time when the power was down as well as the generator. we tried calling the front office using our cellphones since the telephone line was also down, but nobody was picking up. but despite that little hustle, over all stay was great.
The stay was ok. The resort is totally isolated and mediocre quality at best. The staff tries hard, but the property is completely run-down and neglected. The rooms have been renovated and are ok, but not great. The property is overgrown with weeds, and the beach is a total mess of trash and filth, and actually is no beach at all. The food is mediocre.
Quiet and relaxing weekend getaway”
The resort mainly caters for local upper class day visitors. There were only a handful of other guests staying overnight when I was there. The room was very spacious but the amenities a slightly bit out of date, considering the price range. The staff was very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend it for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway. The resort is affiliated to a sailing school that also offers lessons under professional guidance.
large room ”
weve paid php500 to get to anhawan, (expensive) rooms are big( thank you for the upgrade), friendly and helpful staff. Disadvantage: you have to walk a loooonnnnnggg and very dark way with a lots of frogs (jumping in front of you) just to get our of the place, just to eat. resorts restaurant closes at 9pm.
Big rooms but no TV”
The place is quite distant from the airport. We paid P600 taxi fare from Anhawan but maybe because it was a special trip as we left the place at 4 am to catch our flight to Puerto Princesa early in the morning. I suggest you make arrangements with a taxi driver especially when you are leaving early. Take his cellphone number to be sure. We only stayed for a night but the experience was good enough. It is a resort where people can enjoy and relax. The facilities are actually superb, per my standard. The rooms and comfort rooms are big. I would classify it as modern. There are no tv sets and refrigerators in the room, however. My family enjoyed the swimming pool. We have 2 boys (10 & 4). The staff are friendly and helpful. There are lots of people during daytime but in the evening, only a handful can be seen. It is not like Boracay where people are out until the wee hours. There is no internet connection in our room but they say they have it on certain areas like the dining room. They have a restaurant but of course it would cost more. The place is just walking distance from Gaisano mall. There are also lots of restaurants outside but you need to walk a bit. Overall, the place is worth the visit. I would definitely recommend it.
Lovely resort with beautiful atmosphere”
We enjoyed our stay and will probally return again. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were there for a short break to relax and enjoy ourselves. This was the offseason time and it was quiet and romantic which was what we wanted. The resort was well laid out and would be an enjoyable place to vacation with the family. We will probably return there with our children when school is finished. The only thing disappointing was the lack of internet connection but if you wished to go to the office area WiFi was available
Nice hotel with friendly staff”
We're pleased with the staff's treatment of their guests, the food is nice, clean rooms and surroundings, the place is an ideal place for vacationing tourists, whether a solo traveller, couple or a family on a relaxation tour. You'll surely enjoy the ambience of the whole place. I will recommend it to every one who is planning such a vacation in a serene place, also the spa is great, you'll feel refreshed after the soothing effect of the massage.
Fantastic peaceful relaxing resort ”
this resort took us by surprise in every respect. the accommodation is all yoiu could ask for and the royal suite in particular is spacious with modern facilities. the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the pool (right outside our balcony was lovely. it was quite big (30 metres long) and at no point above head level in depth. the "promenade" which runs adjacent to the dining area, is a great feature and we spent a few happy hours in the shade there drinking iced tea. breakfast is included but the choice is limited and the quantities quite small. a refill coffee or fruit juice is extra but only 45 pesos so it puzzled us why they bother with this. the resort is really great value anyway so we gladly coughed up the extra few pesos at breakfast. the owner personally introduced himself and when he discovered i had sailed for gb in several world championships, insisted that my wife and i went hobie cat sailing with him for free . this was a lovely personal touch and we even went sunset sailing with him later in the day. we have been to the philippines on many occasions over the last 10 years (my wife is filipina), usually to boracay, and i can honestly say that this is the most relaxing holiday we have ever had there.
great location,spacious rooms ”
the location was great and the place was very peaceful. it's the best place to relax, enjoy the scenery. it's a perfect hideaway, away from all the noise of the city.i think they don't have enough staff to cover the restaurant, we have to wait for the cook to come in, and it took us 2 hours for our food to be served.
