Outstanding hostel in Singapore”
I enjoyed staying at Adler Luxury Hostel, probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The place is super clean, the staff is nice and welcoming and the place inspire a feeling of "luxury" with its decoration and music. It's quite pricey for a hostel, though, but it's in the line with similar places in the area and in Singapore. Location is superb too. Right in the middle of Chinatown and within walking distance to 2 MRT stations: Chinatown & Tanjong Pagar, the latter in the airport line (2.30 SGD). Next to the hostel you will find loads of foods and the famouse Maxwell Food Centre which is a MUST. I stayed in one of the beds (called "chambers") which are super wide and comfortable and despite sharing the room with other 15 travelers, privacy is guaranteed thanks to the big curtain covering the whole bed. Inside the chamber there is a locker, a light and two power sockets. Earplugs are also offered for those light-sleepers although I found the place very quiet and other guests very respectful. The room also has 2 bathrooms and another 2 bathrooms are available in the corridor, making it 4 bathroom in the floor which are enough for all guests. Adler also provides free Wi-Fi connection in each room and 2 shared computers for those guests without a smartphone or laptop. Complimentary tea is also found in the reception (awesome variety by the way). Breakfast is included in the price and it's served from 8.30 to 10 at 'The Nest' in the next building and consists of orange juice (from concentrated), tea/coffee and slices of bread with jam. Other add-ons such as eggs and sausages are not included but can be purchased on site. I have to thank the staff for letting me store my luggage after checking out so I could explore the city until my flight departed. Without a doubt next time in Singapore I'll stay at Adler again =D
Wonderful stay at Adler Hostel”
Adler hostel provided a very convenient and comfortable base during my Singaore trip. It was in Chinatown right across the heritage center and Smith Street (food street). Right in front of the hostel is a bus stop and taxi bay and only a short, leisurely walk away from Chinatown mrt station. The overall ambience of the hostel is very cozy, posh but relaxed. The pods are spacious with big, thick beds, comfortable pillows with good quality linen. There's a vault and storage space inside for your things, own light and power outlet with adapter and thick curtain that provides privacy. The temperature is just right although sometimes, some residents turn off the AC (but you can just turn it back on anyway when it gets a little hot ;) ). Adler has a common kitchen where you can store and heat food. There are also laundry and ironing facilities which I found to be really useful because I don't like taking pictures of myself in wrinkled clothes. :D At the elegantly designed lobby, you'll find a huge television, foot massager, a couple of books, bikes for rent and a laptop free to be used by the residents. The breakfast is comoposed of pancakes (with different syrups to choose from), scrambled eggs, fruits, fruit juice, toast (strawberry jam, peanut butter, KAYA!). I would have loved to be served different breakfast options every morning because the same food tends to appeal less when you eat it for 4 consecutive days but the ambience of the breakfast area made up for it. It was so peaceful eating there. The smell of the place is sooo relaxing and the classy interiors make me want to take pictures of every corner of the place. I loved spending my mornings there! It's also a big plus that they offer free coffee and tea all day. And it's not just any tea, it's one of the best and premium teas being offered in Singapore. The staff at the reception area, auntie & uncle are all so friendly and approachable. I'd stay at Adler again the next time I'm in Singapore!
Best hostel I have ever stayed at -- and I've trav”
In all my time spent in Europe and traveling all over, none of the hostels I stayed at came close to the experience I had at Adler in Singapore. No matter what room you stay in, even though you are sharing the space with others, you also have a great sense of privacy because of the thick curtains, which do an excellent job at blocking out all light so you can sleep in. They also include earplugs for you, in case you have that one guy that snores louder than an ox. They also provide towels. The bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained. The beds are very comfortable. AND the fact that you have your own private locker in your own stall is a great plus. It's nice and roomy, I was able to fit my big 60L backpack + my laptop carry-on in the locker, along with some other things. The lounge are is so comfortable. I looked for several coffee shops to work out of on my laptop, but none matched the comfort I was able to find at the hostel. They have an excellent tea selection, filtered water, and the free breakfast was excellent. They really know how to do eggs right! On top of all that, the staff members were the friendliest and most helpful compared to so many other hostels (and even hotels!). Yvonne, especially, went above and beyond her call of duty to take care of people. Free wi-fi in the lounge and in all the rooms, which is great. There's also a steamer and iron to use, and it works really well! Even luxury HOTELS don't have a steamer for clothes. The location is PERFECT. Only 15 minutes to Sentosa (about a $15 cab ride), and right in the middle of Chinatown. I highly recommend this place. I typically don't stay in hostels, but this is definitely one place I will keep coming back to when I'm in Singapore. One last thing! I met some of the most incredible people here. Ended up making some great, like-minded friends in the process. Highly recommended, and thank you, Adler Hostel, for all that you do!
Excellent!”
After traveling in over 20 countries and 50 over hostels, hotels and resorts. Adler Hostel was the best hostel we stayed in. In Singapore land is scarce so any decent hotel rooms is crazily expensive. Adler Hostel was for both of us(a single bed each) inclusive of wifi and breakfast, definitely pricey in Hostel standards but definitely worth it. Each bed comes with curtains ensuring privacy and noise insulation. Universal plugs and huge lockers are within the beds so no climbing up and down. The guests here are friendly and considerate, the staffs are friendly and proactive. Breakfast is quite good with a few types of bread, spreads, noodles, hot sides, cakes, juices. Location was perfect as it was 3-4 mins from the subway so you are connected to the whole country. Discounted tickets are available at the front office so you save a couple of dollars and skip the queue! While all is perfect, We felt the room was kinda cold, but the down duvet was perfect. Soft, light and warm, best kind of duvet money can buy (from a housewife of 20 years - it's a big statement) however we wore a light jacket and it was perfecto! However it's really no big deal! Room Tip: Upper bunks are nicer, cozier, and provide more privacy (in my honest opinion)
Hostel Hopping Staycation Part 2”
This was the second hostel I stayed at and I wish that I booked for a longer stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful and energetic. Adler Hostel was advertised as a #poshtel, aka a fancy hostel, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was still a very warm and cozy feel to the place. You can tell that the people behind Adler really poured love into their business. Adler Hostel met all my needs. I wanted a clean, cozy bed (I got a bigger than usual single cubicle with down pillows and comforter). I didn't need a place swimming pool or gym, but I needed the location of my space to be centralised, which this was (located right near Chinatown MRT and Chinatown area). I wanted a place with laundry services, clean bathrooms and with a bit more of a mature vibe. And Adler ticked all the boxes! I'll be back and I actually recommend it for big friend groups who can afford the price point. RENT THE WHOLE PLACE FOR YOUR CREW. You'll have a good time. Adler will make sure of it.
I love Adler Hostel!”
I have travelled over the past 8 years now, staying in many hostels and many new posh hostels in many part of asia including Singapore. This is honestly the best hostel I ever stayed in the World. Firstly the property is very clean and well managed, everything looks pristine and well thought out. Secondly, I will strongly commend that the beds are really the best I have ever slept in any hostels, and many hotels. the linens were great, but that is not all. the cabin/pods/bunks have well designed lockers which can fit larger than cabin size bags. 2 Universal plugs to charge all your stuffs, no need to call front desk and ask, privacy curtains where u close and its all off and ambience light for the entire cabin. loved the tall ceilings in my room as well. Thirdly, The breakfast is the best I ever seen in any Hostels, why? Its real food, not SUPER BREAD that every hostel thinks that is all we need. Its not a amazing spread of food but actually a small variety of local food, fresh fruits and cakes on top of the super bread(they have a universal spread of spreads) its what I call Cozy! Lastly (There is more but I only have a 2000 characters limit for Agoda), The people here are not just great customer service but they have a real heart, helping with the luggages, chatting with you, helping you with itinerary, always eager to help. Thank you DJ and his Team! I love Adler Hostel! p.s they do sell a amazing beer brewed in Singapore, and prepare a $20 (they accept foreign currencies such as AUD for me) deposit for key deposit.
Pleseant Stay, for a Hostel excellent!”
I had an overall wonderful stay in Adler Hostel. The Location is awesome in the heart of Chinatown, close to an MRT station and also in good location to reach famous places such as e.g. gardens by the bay, merlion and botanical garden. The breakfast is (for a hostel) excellent. The quality of the capsules is high, you sleep very comfortable. The "living room" is cozy and a nice place to relax. I have two small negative points (really small): 1. The bathrooms are in general really clean, but sometimes not perfect if you look in details. 2. You can book trips or tickets at Adler Hostel with some discount (which is positive), but, you don't get the best price. There is a sales office a some entrances to the right where you can save another few dollars. Overall, excellent. I loved it and would have loved to stay longer.
A truly luxury hostel”
Adler is not your regular hostel, which is cramped or dirty. The overall cleanliness in all areas of the hostel is excellent and nearly spotless everywhere. This is my second stay at Adler and I fell in love even more deeply. Surely will come back again. There is no need to mention about the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Adler Hostel still provides all day free flow water, coffee and tea. You may need to walk a little bit from the MRT station, which may be quite troublesome if you bring a huge luggage to pass through a crowded Chinatown alley. But, I can bear the walk as the location and the establishment itself is really worth the effort. Literally near almost every tourist attractions, shopping districts, and business districts. Oh, I also love their common room. Found my sanctuary there to beat my super tight work deadline.
Picturesque hostel with Singaporean hospitality”
I must have searched all the hostels in Singapore before deciding on Adler Hostel. My choice did not disappoint me. I love the antique sofa bed and the cabin-like room. Adler hostel was well thought of from branding it to the guest comfort. I would echo one of the guests that i've met in the hostel that the bed is comparable to a 4/5 star hotel. You don't get free earplugs on a budget airline but Adler thought of that! My first time in Singapore and hosteling was indeed memorable because my first day was spent at The Adler Hostel.
Home away from home”
Adler hostel is located at the heart of Chinatown, a central location and just a two-minute walk from the metro. This boutique hostel has changed the way I view hostels. The lobby is beautifully designed and I felt I was walking into a family lounge. No matter how busy my day was, I could get away and relax back at Adler hostel. Each room is decorated with a different theme, which has a personalised feel. Their supply of toiletries is also a luxury! But most importantly, the staff at Adler feel like family and go out of their way to connect their guests to the hostel and the city. I will definitely be back for sure - it's a home away from home.
Best place to stay in the heart of the city”
Stayed at Adler Hostel for 2 nights few days ago. It was my first time staying in a hostel and this hostel definitely gave me nice experience. Love the interior design of this hostel which is almost as good as a high, end boutique hotel. The hostel is really tidy, clean, and very well, maintained. Bed is quite big and comfortable. All basic amenities are provided. The best part of it is the curtain which gives much needed privacy. The room itself is very quiet and peaceful which is almost as good as a private room. Showers are ok. I never had to wait to use the bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are willing to go the extra mile to serve the guest. Location is superb; easy access to city center, walking distance to Chinatown MRT station. Bus station is just right in front of the hostel. This hostel is also sorrounded by many interesting places to explore. Though it's a bit pricey, the cost is really well worth it. Will definitely come back to Adler Hostel on my next visit to Singapore.
One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. ”
Excellent facilities, well designed, wonderful location. The built in personal lockers in the bed nooks with curtains for privacy was something I loved for staying in a hostel! Comfortable bedding, mattress, and two great pillows!! The showers were nice and bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Espresso machine and loose leaf tea were nice amenities to enjoy. Adler hostel is doing it all right. I appreciated the security in the hotel and the staff were so amiable to help and friendly to speak to. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat. They even have washer and dryers! Love Adler hostel just as much as I love Singapore. I hope to visit again.
Comfy hostel with super great location”
The location is great with less than 5 minutes walk from MRT Chinatown (exit A). The design is great. You can find a lot of restaurants, cafes and mini mart around there. Also, it locates near Ann Siang Hill and Maxwell food center. Though, it's my first time staying in a hostel in Singapore. It feels really nice and comfortable staying here. The female mixed dorm is quite impressive. Everyone respect other privacy and the room is really quiet. The toilet is acceptable. The staff is really nice. I really like the complimentary coffee where you can get a freshly made coffee from Adler Cafe located next to the hostel. On the check-out date, you can leave your luggage at the hostel if you want to look around for a little bit. Would give it a thumb up for solo traveler and travelers who want to have a hostel experience! Worth every penny.
The best hostel whatsoever!!!”
This is probobly the best hostel i've ever stayed in, and i tried many in all different continents. The good things are espesially, that the enviroment makes you get to know the other visitors cause it feels like a livingroom at home, the breakfast is great with all you need as toast, peanutbutter, scrambled eggs, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and so on! The beds and everything are really clean and fresh and you even get shampoo and soap!! The rooms are quiet so you can sleep lovely. It's just perfect. After staying in this hostel the first time in 2014 i have began to love this thing about dorms because you have like your own closed area but you are not alone, so it feels safe. Not bad at all is that the house of this hostel is really beautiful itself so you kind of want to live here. Back in Singapore this is just the no doubt choice! I wish there were more Adler hostels in world! Best wishes Sofia Viktoria from Sweden
Best Boutique Hostel in Singapore”
Been in almost all the other posh hostels in Singapore and numerous ones in Asia. Adler Hostel is one of the best contenders, maintained very clean (being brand new is the key), most of the amenities provided are branded and hotel quality unlike most places which chooses the cheapest cost price. Staffs are very friendly and passionate. I would really speak for all the reviews given by other guests, really top notch boutique hostel.
Great hostel with great staffs and location!!”
Chanced upon this hostel via Agoda and I'm definitely glad I did. The hostel is very new, cosy and in excellent location in Chinatown (5mins walk to the MRT). Free daily breakfast as well as free internet! I am especially happy with the ever helpful and friendly staffs. I had some problems in locating some places in Singapore and the owner of the hostel actually sat down with me and directed me to the right locations, even pinpointing some of the best places and tips to get local delicacies! I'm forever grateful for that and that's what i call Great Service! where all of the guests were treated as 'friends' rather than as 'customers'! I'm definitely returning to this great hostel, in fact i'll be there next month! Keep up the great work and service Adler! Two thumbs up!
premium hostel experience”
It was my first time to stay in a hostel. I kept my expectations low knowing what a hostel is in general. Adler really surprised me in terms of comfort, ambiance, privacy and service. Though more expensive than others, the price was worth the premium hostel experience. I stayed in the female dorm. The room was spacious, I never felt crammed. I had ample personal space within the confines of my bunk bed. Two major reasons why I chose Adler versus others: 1) the locker is located within the bunk and 2) a curtain provides one with privacy. The staff are friendly, but not intrusive. I like how they naturally engage in small talk. The location is very convenient - so close to the MRT and bus stop, lots of food choices nearby. I love the charm of the neighborhood with its quaint shophouses. If there's any downside though, the shower and toilet are in one cubicle. The cubicle itself is spacious, but there's no way to spare the toilet seat from getting wet. On the upside, I never had to wait in line - there are enough cubicles for everyone. Overall, it was a wonderful hostel stay. I'm so glad I made the right choice!
Style and comfort at a steal”
Have been flash-packing all over Asia for the past few months and Adler Hostel stands out as one of the best boutique hostels that I've ever been to. Don't let the charming exterior intimidate you, it is actually pretty cosy once you get your access card to your assigned beds. Built in lockers in the cabin beds and 2 universal plugs is more than enough to keep your gadgets charged at all times. Some might find the showers lacking in privacy due to usage of frosted glass instead of doors made of other material. 5 min walk to the MRT and of course, with friendly staff that helps you plan your itinerary if you are clueless on what to do in the city...if you are looking for a clean and decent place to stay in Singapore, this is the hostel that you should book at every chance of availability.
Indeed, a Premium Hostel!”
This hostel contains two building which 2 or 3 buildings apart. The check in time is on 3pm, I got there about 1pm, and the staff proceed that I could check in early. I just gave my name, and no need to show anything in the check in process (love it!). She gave me room card with the room name and number on it, and told about the breakfast on the day later, and the complimentary drinks all-day, which are coffee and some selection of teas, and the ice lemon water dispenser. I saw some belongings beside the stairs, and I thought it was the other guest's belongings which put it there before check in or after check out (for free), it is a generous thing too, not many hotels offers that kind of service. The lobby is unique, it's vintage theme for me, classic, no cheap at all! With many sofas, tables, books, newspapers, and tv. You'd enjoyed your breakfast in this lobby on 8 till 11am (I got one on 9am), which are pancakes with chocolate sauce, sugar, honey, scrambled eggs, sliced cheese, fruits (papaya and watermelon), orange juice, tea & coffee, you serve yourself! It near Chinatown MRT Station (which is a intersection between two MRT routes), take a way-out to the Mosque Street, after a cheap market section (which contains many cheap items for sale, kinda similar with Bugis Street, and food places which open till midnight), you just have to cross the street, and go right, there's the Adler. It nears a mall called Chinatown Point (FYI, in front of this mall, there's the MRT station's entrance too). I got there on Thursday, so it was not "full-house". All of my pre-requests were granted. I picked the female only room (the same building, 2nd floor fortunately, the capacity is about 20 bed, two layers (top n below), I chose the low one for easy access, but private too, because the bed curtain is the thick one (like normal window curtain), so you can't see outside if it's closed, and vice versa. Might be the worry is just if we got the 3rd or more level, and our belonging
