Great Hotel and Super Service”

Lovely rooms, nice restaurants, friendly and willing staff. idyllic pools and gardens.... all very peaceful.

Having arranged this holiday at 3 days notice, it couldn't have been better for what we wanted. Shamedly we spent most of our holiday either in the hotel grounds or at the kitesurfing spot about 1km away, so we didn't see much of what beautiful Mauritius has to offer. This isn't the level of luxury we would normally book but as it was just the two of us, a little extravagance was in order and this was perfect. the gardens and pools were lovely, well kept and tranquil. The beach was gorgeous and the facilities good. Service was mostly prompt and with a smile and the staff were generally humorous and friendly but not intrusive. We weren't shy to complain one evening when service in one of the restaurants was not quite timely enough and from then on heels were clicking and the supervisors were personally on the case to make sure that we were more than satisfied from then on. As we had booked bed and breakfast, we decided it would be a good idea to upgrade to all-inclusive, however, the cost was more than twice as much as if we had prearranged it. My advice would be to book it in the first place. The only minor inconvenience was that for two of the three restaurants, advance bookings had to be made. Quite understandable, of course, and I can't think how they would better it. Anyway, The Kitchen, the main 'buffet' restaurant, served an excellent choice of food if you didn't mind getting up for it. Night life was very quiet. I don't think there was any dancing the whole time we were there....but that depends on the guests at the time, I suppose. Lux Le Morne will definitely be somewhere we would return to, although it seems a shame to leave it even to explore the island a little.

simply fantanstic, a must-visit-again resort”

beach, garden, room

All is superb, especially that we're upgraded to prestige beachfront suite—a pleasant surprise! A first rate seaside resort with attractive gardening, excellent beach facilities and very relaxing surroungdings of natural style.Compared with St. Regis lying to its south, LUX Le Morne is my preferable choice, for the latter is more a resort than just a seaside 5 star hotel. Sunbeds at LUX at the front of the prestige suite amid cocomut trees are gorgeous! From here, you can drive easily to dolphin bay(塔马琳海豚湾), seven colored earth(七色土), baie du cap(天涯海角),casela park(野生公园)or crocodile park. helpful staff, great location, a very relaxing style featuring local natural elements, a must-visit-again beach resort, only that the main entrance and lobby area is not very attractive—seeming a bit dim

Paradise Hotel”

pick this hotel when you go to mauritius. it is elegant, luxurious and homely. the staff is always ready to serve you. the rooms are spacious with king size beds. the bathroom is well thought out and includes a bathtub, separate shower and walk in closet. the soaps and shampoos offered are tropical and will keep you on your toes with their pristine fragrances. there are 3 restaurants and all 3 serve different menus. you will never be bored with the choices and in the rare occasion that you can't find what you like, ask the chef for a special meal and the restaurant will be more than happy to make one for you. the beach is elegant with crystal clear waters and soft sand. there isn't much to do around the hotel but when you stay here, you won't need to leave the hotel. there is complimentary wifi and free international calls from the reception desk. this hotel is definitely for couples looking for a romantic getaway. grab a sofa or go for a late night swim under the sea of stars in mauritius. i'd recommend the very left pool with a sofa in the middle of the pool. the only thing i can complain about is that the rooms don't have a clock so you'll never know the time! also, the hotel can be a bit heavy on your wallet so make sure you have the budget for it! finally, make sure you do a late check out since you'll need it in this tropical paradise.

Very nice resort hotel on the beach”

Beach and location, Rooms, Breakfast

Stay at LUX* le Morne was great overall, I think i just realized I'm just not the hole-yourself-up-in-a-resort type and my comments should be read with that pinch of salt. Will try stay as objective as possible: + rooms great, beach great, gardens, breakfast great, housekeeping prompt and efficient; close to some of the best kitesurfing/windsurfing spots in the world; variety of activities; overall great for a romantic getaway or for people who want to just rest and not worry about much. I strongly recommend renting a car. - relatively isolated, taxis will completely rip you off to take you the few kilometers to closest villages which in turn have very little to offer; i found the food at the hotel itself (other than breakfast which was impressive) quite boring and sterile - they have three restaurants, but i did not manage to convince myself to eat there in the evenings despite trying a few times, menu in hand; service good overall but a teeny bit chaotic at times, had a couple of very minor instances of fast forgotten "certainly sir, i'll take care of it right away"s This being said if i do decide going back kitesurfing in that area, i would consider staying there again.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Fantastic staff.”

Location, Relaxing atmosphere, Great facilities.

From the minute you arrive at the Lux Le Mourne you are made to feel very special, nothing is too much trouble from the management right down through the staff to the gardeners and security guards. There are some very nice touches like the extra seats and games spread about. the setting is spectacular with the beautiful blue sea and palm trees on one side and the brooding Mount Le Mourne on the other side. The food is very good and varied, something for everyone. Plenty of activities if you want them or just chill out and relax by the spectacular pool. Highly reccomended !!!

The best beach, regular rooms and terrible meal”

Long beach with white sand, clear sea and soft green grass on the way to rooms, perfect view on Morne Rock

first of all we have got deluxe prestige room in place of honeymoon suite, but frankly this room was even better than honeymoon one. however, it's little bit strange...isn't it? the hotel has definitely the best beach in mauritius: long (700-800 m), clear white sand and entrance to sea, no corals inside water. there is the constant flow in water but it isn't dangerous as in some other places of island. sometimes we had very strong wind, and a lot of all kind surfers appeared immediately. very nice view on morne rock. the rooms aren't big and new, but are more or less ok and comply with the price. spa-center is very expensive and poor in terms of a number of procedures. we don't recommend to use. the meal in the main restaurant is completely terrible and unacceptable in terms of price/quality reasons. we ready to pay us$ 100- for a dinner/lunch but it's stupid to pay for not tasty, cold and sometimes gamy meal. e.g. we haven't managed fresh young coconut during all our 10-day stay. service is also bad, and you can't imagine how many flies... the only good thing is fine house wine from south africa. thus we don't recommend you to buy all inclusive plan as staff try to sell you... the room service isn't solution. they may bring you not the same dish that you ordered, they may change ingredients, they may forgot something at all... the good thing is that you may book two other restaurants the beach and thai one. these places are very good but you need to book it immediately after arrival otherwise they may just have no available places

Magical place”

Best views (sunsets and mountain scenery), beach, food

Really good resort!! We stayed in a standard room which was spacious, nice bed, good bathroom and even a walk-in closet. Hotel staff were friendly and service was great. Lots of free water sports activities to chose from. The various restaurants are great, good food, good service. Lots of dishes to choose from, ranging from local food to international food. Most restaurants have daily special offerings which is a good concept for people staying for a week or more. The surroundings of the hotel are very nice. The view on the mountain in the background is surreal and sometimes it looks like it's photoshopped. Amazing beach and calm ocean due to the coral reef surrounding the place.

Great location, excellent breakfast”

Breakfast as really good, big and cozy rooms, amazing swimming pools and beach private area

we travelled around mauricio and tried 5 hotels (4 star and 5 star). this was our second favorite. location is great, beautiful beach. restaurants had a very good food. breakfast was the best. then we dine at the thai restaurant and it was good, although the service was regular-ok. they did tell us we were 45 min late our booking was for 8.30 and we arrived at 9.15- restaurant closes kitchen t 10). the restaurant was empty and they didn't have anything else to do, so they chatted among themselves while we ate, and we had the feeling they wanted to go home. rooms were very cozy, nice linen, very very spacious and confortable. good. they have a spa area for treatment and also jacuzzi and steam rom area, a bit small and not inviting to stay. we also stayed at the mornea by the same hotel chain) and they did have a much better spa area where you could relax, lay down while you go between sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. we dive and the dive center was very well equipped and very nice people. this is also a perfect hotel for kite surfers. the hotel is pretty big and it feels lots of people need to be managed, and we weren't very impress by the service. the other thing we didn't like, but it has to do with our 'style' is that the hotel had this 'trendy fashionable' vibe, s w hotels have. we didn't like this that much, but it is a right. wonderful sunset in one of the coffee bars.

Very good”

The view, the beach, the food - all five star, TOP notch at this resort. Really can’t rate these aspects more highly. The breakfast is great, too. The staff go out of their way to check you have everything and gave us early check in for free, which was greatly appreciated. They threw a complimentary cocktail on the beach night during sunset with fire on the water - this was gorgeous and such a neat touch. Would suggest the resort improves in the following areas: 1. The rooms are very outdated compared to the rest of the resort and very dark. Needs some modernisation to charge 5* price, otherwise people are better off in the St Regis down the road. 2. Suggest you relax the dinner dress code. Men want to wear dress shorts in the hot climate to dinner. Banning singlets, flip flops etc totally ok, but long pants a bit of a push, considering women can wear skirts. 3. Improve the wifi, it was very slow and dropped often at night. 4. Have dinner options available from 6pm.

Luxurious hotel, great location and beach”

Great sunset view (east-facing), great facilities and hotel very well maintained

Part of my honeymoon, stayed here for 5 nights after a week of Safari in South Africa to relax and unwind. Plenty of activities for health and relaxation and all the activities available that you would expect from a luxury resort set on a beach. Breakfast is excellent, very fresh food. Guests are primarily from France and other parts of western Europe. Rooms are to a high standard and kept very clean.

Staff, location and beach

Couldn't fault the hotel, everything was as good as it could have been. Only negative I thought was that the food was only average.

great hotel. beautiful site. excellent service”

the beach is wonderful. the service is great. the hotel is very green.

hi, went there for 8 days. weather was very sunny and not too hot. a lot to say on this hotel. the junior suite was located close to the beach and the pool. very wide, very clean. some works on going at st regis nearby but not that much a problem. only very small remark would be that it is not a hotel for people looking for gastronomy :) the bento boxes you can order on the beach were very nice though... highly recommended hotel!!!

Only there for three days as was fitting in some rest before business, but I will be back. A great resort. Lovely staff, attentive without being intrusive. Facilities are excellent. The toasted marshmallows at sunset are a lovely touch. I will be back!
